Month 3

Month Three

1.

God is saying to you that your latter dayz will be greater than your former days, you will grow from zero to hero, from grass to grace, from stop to top, from boys quarter to headquarter, God will make you the head and not the tail. You will grow from shame to fame by HIS grace. All your mockers will become your workers and you will move from insult to result. Claim this in The Name of Jesus. What we agree on here on Earth shall be Established in Heaven. Find a Sister or Brother to share with and say Amen together. For where two of you are gathered in Jesus name, He is there in your midst. Agreement time!!!

We recently shared on Love and it’s traits. Is one of them ‘meekness’? Being meek does not mean standing down to bullying, but rather we can commit it all into God’s hands. Pray people! When The Word speaks of being meek what does it mean?

2.

INCORRUPTIBLE BEAUTY

Beauty describes the appealing appearance of someone or something. Apart from natural beauty like that of flowers, most times, beauty is a product of conscious arrangement of things in proper order. For men or women, it is the “outward arranging of the hair, wearing of gold, putting on of fine apparel etc. but after some time, this beauty fades, gets corrupted or out of fashion. Our sharing today speaks of a beauty that is incorruptible, which comes from the inward-man and radiates in and through the life of a Christian. This beauty is borne out of a life of gentleness, submissiveness and a quiet spirit. It does not become corrupted, or out of fashion, rather it attracts people to the Lord through you. It has the capacity of winning people to Christ. 1 Cor. 7:16

Many marriages today are facing challenges because this divine virtue is missing. While it is good to be beautifully adorned, it is better to work on the hidden person of the ‘heart’- thoughts, habits and character. Therefore let us search our hearts and note where we are failing as an individual, husband or wife and be prepared to change our ways. Do you desire a good wife or a good husband? Pray to be one yourself.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be the person you designed me to be – for I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen

3.

So, I wanted to see how many verses speaking the Devine nature of our Father in Heaven. It goes on and on, I simply wanted to share a few with you. Read on, and if you habe more, pass them on to others. If and when we run this rave, we must look back and help those behind and beneath us; This is the true definition of Love.

Do  unto others as you would have them do to you.

Luke 6:31

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Luke 6:35

The Pharisees challenged him, “Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid.”

John 8:13

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good

Romans 12:9

The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:31

Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Romans 13:10

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

1 Corinthians 13:4-88

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Ephesians 4:2

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4:8

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

1 John 4:7

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us.

1 John 4:18-19

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

John 15:13

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

Ephesians 5:25

However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Ephesians 5:33

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Colossians 3:14

Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.

Proverbs 10:12

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

Proverbs 17:17

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

1 John 3:16-118

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 John 4:8

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:116

I love you, LORD, my strength.

Psalm 18:1

Finally, the woman died. Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?” Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.

Matthew 22:27-29

And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good? To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it. Yet the LORD set his affection on your ancestors and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations—as it is today. Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer.  For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.  He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.

Deuteronomy 10:12-19

So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul—  then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. Then the LORD’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut up the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the LORD is giving you. Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates,  so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.  If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow—to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him

Deuteronomy 11:13-22

Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.  Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved? Under the apple tree I roused you; there your mother conceived you, there she who was in labor gave you birth. Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If one were to give all the wealth of one’s house for love, it would be utterly scorned. We have a little sister, and her breasts are not yet grown. What shall we do for our sister on the day she is spoken for?

Song of Songs 8:4-8

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Matthew 6:24

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Matthew 22:37-39

they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.  “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.

Matthew 23:6-8

THE PLACE OF LOVE AND SUBMISSION IN MARRIAGE

Today’s passage is considered the Christian blueprint for marriage, because in it – Paul gave instructions on how marriage should be built in Christ. He compared marriage to a relationship between Christ and the Church. The man should model his love for his wife on the sacrificial love of Christ for His Church for which He gave His life. The woman should submit to her husband even as the Church submits to Christ as its Lord. It is the wives that need love because of their tender hearts.

Apostle Peter explains why the wife should submit to her husband. 1 Pet 3:1-6 Through submission, unbelieving husbands could be won to Christ when they observe their chaste conducts. For any marriage to thrive and succeed as God intended, each party must play their part. In loving and caring for the wife, the husband must be aware that the wife is a weaker vessel. Good relationship is essential because failure to heed God’s command can hinder the prayers of the husband. For all married couples, today’s meditation is a call to reassess your relationships and come to God in repentance for any areas where you are falling short of His standards. For those awaiting marriage, it is important for you to know how well you are to prepare to fulfil your own role in marriage.

READING:  Ephesians 5: 21-33

THOUGHT: Marriage is a responsibility; play your role well.

The Lord reigneth! Blessed be The Rock, may The God of my salvation be exalted!!!

Who remembers this? Any takers? Well, you are well aware by now that I will share! Calling all musicians! We have been given The music book of The Ages. Check this out, in the days after Moses, they had The Tabernacle with The Words of God. At the walls of Jericho, a great noise of praise, blaring of horns, playing of brass and a shout offering to The Lord brought the walls raining down? Wow! What song in and expressed of our hearts accomplish! In Him is found our music, our song! Hallelujah!!!

The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. 2 Samuel 22:47

6.

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Psalm 97:12

New challenge? Let’s see… Okay, we are supposed to give thanks in all things, right? Lord, thank You, I stubbed my foot on that stone. “Yeah right!” You say. “Lord, thank you that I lost that awesome paring job with benefits.” “Boy, this guy has it right, I am smitten, trampled, had, depressed…I could go on. I wonder what he will say about this…”

Yup! Give thanks The Bible says not in some things or when the going is good; but in all things. Let us break each of the above down (Righteousness, Remembrance of His Holiness’ and giving thanks.)

We have read that the Angels of The Lord encamp around those who fear Him. Let us go back a ‘few’ years to the time of Adam and Eve. If Adam in his excitement at a ‘new’ find, a discovery was running to tell Eve excitedly and stubbed his toe! “Thank God” would have burst from his lips in what ever language they were blessed to speak. For the future, Adam would know just where not to step after that, so he learned. There are so many things that serve as lessons in our lives. That job, that relationship, that car. Mind you we can never say “those kids.” Why? They are a part of you.

7.

We will start something new; we will “1 Corinthians 13” concepts. To review, let us visit:

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Will be better if I list them so that in fact we have the “Mesure it up” list. We in our Lives want to mimic God best we can, we are the gospel to the unbelievers. Do not forget!

List of the characteristics and Person of Love.

Patient, kind, not self conceited, humbe, well behaved (we can and will describe and discuss this),  is self controlled-not being happy at the fall of another; but rather reaching out to help those beneath or below you so that by the grace of God we being brethren are on the same level (I understand that there will be CEO’s, Heads of State, Kings, Queens…) The funny thing is that in the crux of WW II I saw pictures of The Queen of England going out to help others that were victims of a bombing. Now, if The Queen is in that position; how much more we who are not royalty would think of not giving a hand and helping people out. There are CEO’s that are impressive because they break bread with the ‘common man’, in Christian living should we not do the same?

If and when someone blames you for what you are sure you did not do, tolerance is the right response. Hope in The Lord, if in fact Jesus is coming, it might be after we are gone, but we have hope that if He tarry but a while longer; we have hope that we will be in The place of awesome Glory for always.

It hopes in all things in and of The Word, it endures all things. Just what does this mean? People might say, do, think…let them. You will be justified by no other than The Son of God on that day.

And most of all, it never fails! It is. God is!!! Love is of God, God is Love. All the attributes we have outlined. It definitely is something to Live up to. We have been touched by Love, we understand Love. Let us “I Corinthians 13” all our problems away, by placing them at The feet of The Creator.

I tried to sum up all the instances of Love in both The New and Old Testament, Wow! God is Love! Can we separate God from what He is??? The Bible is called ‘The Word of Love’ or was I mistaken? ‘The Word of Who is known as Love’, what a minute! What exactly am I trying to say? You get it.

So The Word of Love is so full of Love that it is hard to cherry pick all the places it says that. For example, The book of Psalms written by king David was the sum total of his experience. We see so much that refers to Love.

In the earlier books, we see God show His nature. Like a true Father, He kept a close eye on His people. Yes, for those who would dare state it. The Isrealites had to work for what they had. Yes, God was always there, except when they turned their backs on Him. (We will touch on this at a future time).

Our verse above says “Give thanks at the remembrance of His Holiness.” Well when we take time to contemplate The holiness of God, we are floored. His Holiness has granted us So much, it is hard to say just how much we care. The Lord reigneth, blessed be the Lord, may the rock of my salvation be exalted. Let us give Him praise people. Lift Him up in and with your Spirits.

Higher, higher, higher; higher Jesus higher. Lower, lower, lower; lower Satan lower

Cast your burdens on to Jesus because He cares for you!

8.

Calling all our ‘resident’ musicians. Be blessed. Something that just slipped my mind is: you know how we refer to kings as “Your Excellency”, names, words…We can refer to our Father is “Your Holiness”; “Your maker of the Universe.” Is more appropriate. But, realizing this when Moses asked “Who should I say sent me?” God’s answer “I am that I am” is most appropriate, words are things of this world. It will be blessed to hear, feel and know the songs of praise in Heaven.

9.

And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea. Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

But in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him.

The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen by God, even to us, who did eat and drink with Him after he rose from the dead.

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Acts 10:30-44

10.

“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”

Isaiah 65:24

The above scripture contains a very profound promise from God to His people. The Lord manifested His commitment to fulfilling this promise in today’s Bible reading. Acts 10:44 says,

“While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.”

Before Peter finished his sermon, he had not even made any altar call or said any prayer when God poured out His Spirit, and the fire fell on all those hearing his voice. The answer to Cornelius’ prayer came while Peter was still speaking, in consonance with the promise of God in Isaiah 65:24. Do you know that the devil still delays prayers? This is why it is very important for us to be baptized in the Holy Spirit; this helps to expedite answers to our prayers (Romans 8:26). When you pray with your understanding or in a language the devil understands, he can take steps to hinder the answer to that prayer. In Daniel 10:1-14, when Daniel decided to set himself apart to seek God’s face in fasting and prayer, God immediately dispatched an angel to bring him the answer to his request that very day. However, the devil equally sent a principality to block the way of this angel for 21 days, until reinforcement was sent to help him. If you pray in the Spirit, the devil will be thrown into confusion, and he won’t know when the answer to prayer is coming; neither will he know the angel bringing it. In that way, the answer to your prayer is not hindered.

In addition to answering the prayer of Cornelius, God also accepted his offerings. There is nothing as painful as offering something to God and He refuses to accept it. When Cain’s offering was rejected, he was so devastated that he murdered his younger brother (Genesis 4:3-5). On the other hand, when Solomon’s offering was accepted, he received a divine visitation (2 Chronicles 1:6-12). Let me share what I normally do during offering time with you. When the minister says we should lift up our offering to God and pray, l asks God to send down His fire and take up the offering to Himself. So before I drop the offering in the basket, it is already gone. The cheque may be in the basket, but the actual offering has been taken by fire to Heaven. I pray that from today, God will accept all your offerings and sacrifices to Him!

PRAYER POINT:

Father, I offer myself as a living sacrifice to You. Accept me and release Your holy fire on me. Fulfil Your promise by expediting the answer to my prayers and cause my spirit to be in and with Him in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen

9.

The Davidic line (also referred to as the House of David) (known in Hebrew as Malkhut Beit David (מלכות בית דוד) – “Kingdom of the House of David”) refers to the tracing of lineage to King David referred to many times in the Hebrew Bible and in the New Testament.(1)

I must admit that often I was mistaken in believing that David was only ‘proven’ when he slew Goliath. Great things come from simple begginings. But, in my reading of The Word, so many places it refers to the ‘Line of David.’ We can see this in our reading The Word. More significantly it was pointed out this morning in reading that truly David was chosen way before his time! I will point out what we have already shared on. His brothers were giants of men, ruddy-In essence giants among men.

Let us read and we will see. The prophet that had discourse with The Lord felt that it was the first born of Jesse’s sons that would be blessed.

The LORD said to Samuel:

“Fill your horn with oil, and be on your way. I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem, for I have chosen my king from among his sons.”

As Jesse and his sons came to the sacrifice, Samuel looked at Eliab and thought, “Surely the LORD’s anointed is here before him.”

But the LORD said to Samuel:

“Do not judge from his appearance or from his lofty stature,

because I have rejected him.

Not as man sees does God see,

because man sees the appearance

but the LORD looks into the heart.”

In the same way Jesse presented seven sons before Samuel,

but Samuel said to Jesse,

“The LORD has not chosen any one of these.”

Then Samuel asked Jesse,

“Are these all the sons you have?”

Jesse replied,

“There is still the youngest, who is tending the sheep.”

Samuel said to Jesse,

“Send for him;

we will not begin the sacrificial banquet until he arrives here.”

Jesse sent and had the young man brought to them.

He was ruddy, a youth handsome to behold

and making a splendid appearance.

The LORD said,

“There—anoint him, for this is the one!”

Then Samuel, with the horn of oil in hand,

anointed David in the presence of his brothers;

and from that day on, the spirit of the LORD rushed upon David.

1 Samuel 16:1B,6-7,10-13

So we see just what occurred. Another point that came to mind was David was not as ‘ruddy’ as his brothers. Even when his brothers had gone to war against the Philistines and Goliath, he was sent to tend the flock. We cancseecfrom reading that he did a complete and honorable job at this, nurturing and feeding and protecting the sheep.

As said above, The Lord said: “Do not judge from his appearance or from his lofty stature, because I have rejected him.

Not as man sees does God see,

because man sees the appearance

but the LORD looks into the heart.”

I will pause right here and ask; What is in your heart? We have shared that all of our going outs and coming ins are known to The Lord, before Him there is nothing hidden. If we Renner the story of Jonah, he was sent to Nineveh and he disobeyed The Lords commend and attempted to flee. Finally, on a ship in a mighty storm, he was asleep. When awoken, he realized that it was because he had fled from The Will of God and asked to be thrown into the sea. Now point is, no matter where he went, he was observed by The Lord. Even in the belly of the ‘whale’ it was known to God as he was being ‘digested’, just what would happen. There are much easier ways to Live, do God’s will and all will be right with you in Jesus’ name.

Back to our sharing. David even in his humble beginnings had found favor in the sight of God. Are we there yet? Are we doing God’s will as directed in our Lives. We can go on and see what David did, and yes! We should, but all this comes after he has done God’s will in his life!

When Samuel announced him, there must have been dissension among the brothers. Let us move one step forward; at the time of Goliaths presentation as The Philistines hero. Oh! What pride there must have been his height of approximately 9 feet, 9 inches.

One big dude 🙂 To carry armor of 125 lbs or so, and wield a spear/sword/sheild/helmet. We get a good idea. And Saul (who we will discuss) was on The battlefield being challenged daily by this ‘giant’.

A brief recap of history of all that we refer to is:

a.       In 1082 BC, Saul is born.

b.      In Jonathan is likely born around 1067 BC since he is Saul’s oldest son.

                                                                           i.      It is important to note that Jonathan was old enough to lead the defeat of the Philistines at Geba and then singlehandedly defeat them at Michmash with his armor bearer.

ii.      So Saul was only 30 years old when he became king, yet he had a son old enough to lead a battle against the philistines.

iii.      He would have to be at least 15 years old but not much older than that, given Saul is 30 when Jonathan defeats the Philistines at Michmash.

iv.      This would mean that Saul was 15 when he became the father of Jonathan and that Jonathan was 15 when Saul became king.

                                                                         v.      David was about 15 when he killed Goliath some 27 years later. David is born in the 10th year of Saul’s reign.

vi.      So here we have the portrait of three 15 year olds.

1.       Saul who became the father of Jonathan at age 15 in 1067 BC.

2.       Then 15 years later, Jonathan who defeated the philistines at age 15 in 1052 BC.

3.       Then 25 years later, David kills Goliath at age 15 in 1025 BC.

4.       Although Jonathan was 45 years old when David killed Goliath, it was probably this youthful valiancy of faith that formed the bond of love the friendship between David and Jonathan.

c.       In 1052 BC, Samuel was 52 years old when he anointed Saul at age 30 year old as king. 1 Sam 13:1

                                                                           i.      Jonathan is 15 years old.

ii.      David is not born for ten more years.

d.      In 1040 BC, David is born when Jonathan is about 27 years old and Saul is 42.

e.      In 1025 BC, Saul had been king for 27 years but had failed to obey God twice and is told another will replace him. (David)

                                                                           i.      David is anointed king in Saul’s place in 1025 BC at age 15 years old. Saul is now 57 years old

ii.      In 1025 BC, David kills Goliath when he is about 15 years old, the same year he was anointed by Samuel as king.

iii.      Jonathan is 42 years old when David killed Goliath and it is now that they first form a friendship.

iv.      Samuel lives another 11 years until he dies in 1008 BC, but never sees Saul again.

                                                                         v.      David is hunted by Saul for 15 years until Saul dies in 1010 BC

f.        1025- 1018 BC: David’s time in the Saul’s palace at Gibeah of Benjamin: 7 years

                                                                           i.      This period starts when David killed Goliath in1019 BC

ii.      This period ends when David flees Gibeah to seek refuge from Samuel in Ramah in 1018 BC.

iii.      The first indication we have of time passing is this passage:

1.       “Therefore Saul removed him from his presence and appointed him as his commander of a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people. David was prospering in all his ways for the Lord was with him. When Saul saw that he was prospering greatly, he dreaded him. But all Israel and Judah loved David, and he went out and came in before them.” (1 Samuel 18:13–16)

2.       Enough time had to pass for David to win a few more battles and for his reputation to grow in all of Israel

3.       This may have been 1 – 3 years, but it is hard to tell. It is after this period passed, that David marries Michal at about age 18.

iv.      Saul’s psychotic rages began the same day David Killed Goliath when he heard the women praising David for killing 10,000’s and Saul 1000’s. (2)

There is so much more to share but this is to hopefully get you hungry for more. As seen, I did and do have much desire to focus on The Word.

Be blessed!

In a basketball game: Phew!!! (Whistle blow). Foul! “Take a shot, if you get one on you take another.,

Thinking to him/herself “This must be a new side line coach!”

Let us go ahead and read The Word:

Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

Philippians 3:16

Hold up! Wait up! That was ‘smooth’ the way things flowed. We have a set of principle’s, rules we have and follow. What we have done-keep doing. What we have learned to do we must keep doing.

I will leave this on and in your Spirit. It alone says so very much. Be blessed.

LADEN WITH CAREER BURDENS?

Memorise:

“For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. ” Psalms 107:16

AND it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon Him to hear The Word of God, He stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

And He entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And He sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

Now when He had left speaking, He said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at Thy Word I will let down the net.

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ Knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed Him.

Luke 5:1-11

One of the method devised by the devil to impede our forward march on the straight and narrow way is to steal our joy and happiness.

1. To achieve this, our enemy may make use of career burdens.

2. The presence of career burdens might be the reason why you see some person who were not as intelligent as you were during your school days, even those who graduated several years after you did, now far ahead of you career-wise.

3. A fellow under this yoke  may want to hide when he or she come face to face  with an erstwhile junior, who is now better placed.

4. Many years ago, while still lecturing at University of Lagos, a professor applied for an advertised job and was invited for interview, when he got to the boardroom where the interview panel was sitting, he soon discovered that the chairman of the panel was one of his students who had recently graduated.

5. He therefore said to the panel, I am sorry, it seems I came to the wrong room?

6. You are not in the wrong sir replied the ex-student.

7. But he insisted and left.

B. You need to periodically take stock of your career to ensure you are where you ought to be.

1. If you are deeply unhappy at your job because you are not positioned at the level where you ought to be, the devil might be playing fast tricks on you.

2. Are you in a situation where some people you interviewed for employment are now superiors in the same office?

3. Have you been denied your promotions for several years inspite of your hard work, and as a result, not only are your mates now your superiors, even your juniors has become your superiors?

4. If you are experiencing any of these, you might be operating under a career burden from the pit of hell.

5. The aim of this burden is to make you frustrated and disillusioned.

C. Similarly, when your efforts are not receiving commensurate rewards like Peter in our Bible reading today, You might be carrying a career burden.

1. Peter toiled all night long but caught nothing.

2. I can relate with his experience because I love fishing.

3. When I want to relax sometimes, I go fishing with my hook.

4. From experience, within five minutes of casting the hook, a fish is taken; but occasionally, I spend hours without catching a single fish.

5. Not too long, after spending some considerable time, I eventually caught a fish, but while pulling it out, it jumped back into the river, and there was nothing I could do about.

6. You might have failed in your career or business, not because you wanted to fail or because you were lazy: The presence of a career burden might be the cause.

7. In the Name of Jesus, in any way you have been a victim of this wickedness of Satan, you are delivered today. Amen!

8. That burden is destroyed and taken away from you! All you have lost over the years is restored to you this season in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Prayer Point:

I command that every career burden in my life and family be lifted now in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

TOPIC : ARE YOU GROWING?

MEMORISE : For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. HEBREWS 5 : 13.

READ : HEBREWS 5 : 11 – 14 :

11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : EXODUS 28 & JEREMIAH 2 : 1 – 19.

Attaining maturity in the Kingdom of God is a process that occurs in stages, the first of which is babyhood. When a person becomes born again, he or she has to first learn the basic principles of life in Christ. Believers at this stage are fed with the milk of Gods word ( 1 Peter 2 : 2 ) They cannot take anything hard because they are babies. They depend on others to simplify processes for them. Just like babies in the natural realm, other people must carry them and clean them up; all they do is eat, play and sleep. If you are too dependent on others, you are most likely still in the babyhood stage spiritually, irrespective of your biological age. If you are very selective of the word of God you read, believe and practice, you are a baby. If you are always complaining about other people, what they did and how they did it, you could just be a baby. Spiritual babies are so dependant on the prayers of others. When confronted by the storms of life, if instead of going on your knees to pray, you find yourself pursuing one pastor or prophet around to pray for you, it is because you need to grow up.

Another level of maturity is adulthood. Christians in this stage are mature and no longer depend on milk but eat strong meat. Hebrews 5 : 14 says this about them :

“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

One major difference between those in babyhood and those in the adulthood stage of maturity is their level of discernment. Babes cannot discern anything. Anywhere people erect a signpost and call it a church, a babe will go there to worship. To him or her, every church is a Church of God. On the other hand, adults are more discerning. They are able to test every spirit they come in contact with by comparing the character of such spirits with the Holy Scriptures. They are also able to apply the “fruit test”, for every tree will be identified by the fruit it produces. An adult Christian is able to differentiate between good and evil. He or she can tell who is a servant of God and who is not. Can you call yourself an adult Christian? How sharp is your ability to discern? Are you able to discern between right and wrong? It is amazing that some Christians, who claim to have been saved for several years, still cannot discern between true and false prophets. Are you fellowshipping with people you should not be fellowshipping with? Can you differentiate the Holy Spirit from unclean spirits at any point in time?

14.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Daniel 6:10

We are going to talk about “quiet time” what I learned it as. This servant of The Lord prayed three times a day! Do we have ‘time’ to pray even once? Let us go back and see what his responsibilities were before we go on. Instead of outlining them, I will ask you. What did Daniel do? Huh???

15.

“Huh? I am waiting for you to ‘share'” Not so fast! Daniel was?

A. A sprinter

B. A body builder in The Name of The Lord

C. A prophet that told people to serve The Lord

D. A seer for the early Saducees

E. A captive Jew that was brought to a foreign land.

Ok, answer that and Let us move on. What it says is that Daniel prayed three times a day unfailingly. Once again; have you prayed once today?

I will point out that Daniel had a pattern of doing things. A desire to speak to and with The Lord. What I realized is that he never heard the voice of God, or saw anything super natural (I purposely wrote it that way) in essence, He just did as He had always done. I have to ask “What are your prayer habits?” I do not need to know as long as you have one (or two or three)

Daniel knew that the writing was signed. What writing?

A. The hand of God on the wall

B. The law that no honor be given to anything beside the king

The second answer is correct. There was a party of jealous people in the government that knew how important prayer was to Daniel and Chad the king write some law that was contrary to what Daniel did.

Do you have a prayer habit? A thing that keeps you motivated in the spirit?

There is so much to learn here. So much. I will make it brief.

1. Habits are important. Bible led and centered are even more important.

2. We do not need to experience God in the Spirit at this point in time. Amazingly, Danial was one of the Isrealites that were ‘captured’ and brought.

3. He had a very fixed schedule for seeking God’s face.

4. People knew him for his commitment to God and wished to see him at loss for doing what he considered more important than anything else. Even death. I know that is hard to believe.

16.

What does it mean for us to show brotherly love? The Greek term used by Paul, phi·la·del·phiʹa, literally means “affection for a brother.” I guess this is why Philadelphia, US is known As ‘the city of brotherly love.” I purposely used a alas “l” in quoting this saying. We have discussed the attributes and chara’ter of Love. Chech this out.

God who sits on High had Himself in 3 distinct parts. The “Son”, The “Spirit” and God. All three are one and the same. Moses in leading the Isreælite from Egypt, had God present. With His first offspring. Think of this in the time He was here in The World, He was literally in Heaven. Hard to understand. But He is everywhere at once. He is here now in and with you. To not startle you, His Spirit Which is Him resides in You. So we can say we have felt God. He is in us. I am sure this is a bit difficult to hear. God is everywhere!

Think about this “The Holy Trinity”. God everywhere, essentially an important part of God came as one of us to suffer as one focus, for reasons knownvwhenvwe take the time to think on what is, it floors you. A part of God came to turn the clock back to before the first sin. Think about this long and thoroughly. We were created to bring joy to God. We discussed Genesis and it says “God made…and saw that it was good.” God made Man and saw that Man was good. Being in the sa?e form as heavenly inhabitants. God created and saw that Man was good.

Confusing yet is that Man was good. We lived as God desired. This was until it was messed up by Satan who had Himself stepped wrong and was cast out of Heaven. We have discussed eternal life. We were forbidden from the garden because with the garden is the tree of Life. To lay it out, there is no ending if you eat of this tree. I am aware of that. However, I would rather earn my by into Eternity by and through His will. There are many scholars that have searched and come up empty. When and if we understand that there is protection of the fruit of this tree by angels, we begin to understand that there is no finding it.

Let me state this, Let us say you set out to discover it and did. Now mind you, all I am doing is pointing a minor fact. If you discovered this and had of it to eat. Then what? So, you live for always. Do you have Love for God? If you do, You have an eternal enemy, that means what it sounds like. If you are for God, you have an enemy for eternity. Wouldn’t you rather play it safe and do as you are supposed to. Enjoy this life with and through Him and eternity in His pesence?

I must admit that I am perplexed by the angels that dared to stand against God. Yes, God is Love, but wrong is not in or of His nature. The angels did wrong so they were cast out of Heaven.

The real essence of this sharing is “do well as you are directed to do” and all will be well. We see those who stood against God and see what they reaped. The devil might ‘own’ what is in The World. But that is very temporary. God created all. God can take away all. Whose side would you rather stand on? A finite, losing side? Or an eternal winning side? All that it takes to make this decision is a decision based on fact.

To continue with the basis for this share. Brotherly love is the type of affection that involves a strong, warm, personal attachment, such as to a family member or a close friend. John 11:36

We do not pretend to be brothers and sisters—we are brothers and sisters.

Matt. 23:8

Our strong feeling of attachment to one another is summed up nicely in these words: “In brotherly love have tender affection for one another. In showing honor to one another, take the lead.”

Rom. 12:10 Combined with principled Love, a·gaʹpe, this type of love promotes close companionship among God’s people. Christianity embraces all believers, no matter what their nationality. Rom. 10:12 As Brothers and Sisters, we have been taught by God to have brotherly affection for one another.—1 Thess. 4:9.

17.

As we shared, when we are learning to tread water. Yup! The waters of trials and even of tribulation. In the latter we are sinking fast. We here a voice inside say “Let go…”

“Too much wind, I didn’t cathe that last part.” Glub, glub, glub…”I’m dying here.I need something, anything to hold on to….Why did I believe those….”

“Let go…”

Glub “These winds are so strong.”

Panic. “I guess this is what they said dying is like. Let me pray! I guess there might be a God, at least that way I will be sa..”

“Let go and let Me….”

“What??? Who is that??? Funny I didn’t hear that with the raging winds. Uhhh! I think they are still ra…”

“Let go and Let me Love you, I have The way, I am the truth and the life…”

“Uh, I heard those words before in church, or was it on T.V., the radio or what??? That makes sense, but how about if I let go and sink?”

Meanwhile all this thinking is going on and a big wave is swelling up behind them. 3,2,1…crash

Too late!

Or is it?

As the last wave hits a second before…”Let me do as the bible says…”

We, observers start sorting through the debris.

“Dude, what exactly are we looking for?”

“Someone went down in that horrific storm.”

They are raking through the rubble to ‘find’ a ‘treat’ to take home.

“Uh! Dude do you see that boat out there?”

“Yeah right, after that storm? You must be outta your mind! I’m committing you…”

“Seriously look!!!”

As his compare looks up true to the word they both look up…

“What kinda clothes did that ‘victim’ we are looking for wear?”

“Uhhh dude we aren’t really ‘looking for’ the victim, we just heard and were keeping an eye out, so we could report it to the authorities…”

“Uhhh! That boat is getting close. Uhhh the clothes on that person look exactly like the victim we were keeping an eye out for…”

“I was thinking this individual must have the same outfit or…”

“I know what you are thinking, how would they be epic and span.”

“Shut up dude!”

Out at sea. “Lord, I see people rifling through the storm that almost had the best of me.”

With nothing but the warmest, most caring voice. “They must think you ‘went down’ in the storm.”

“But you saved me!”

“You trusted me. I Love you.l, now continue your race with forward momentum. I have given you a much needed rest. I am always here, a prayer away. I should say I am right beside you. You reach Out your hand and I grasp it tight.”

So folks. ‘Nuff said. As for me, I think I know who I will trust. Do you?

Thankfully, we kept this short and to the point.

Father Lord, by You, in You and though You. I am supposed to be at a certain place. Lord Jesus, help me reach my goals. As Joshua told the Isrealites, I have Your promises. Lord, help me attain them in Jesus’ name. Lord even when I am not aware what they are; give me a hunger to know exactly what You will for me. Lord, I am not worthy, but say The word and I shall be healed. Lord thank You for Your grace and Your Love in Jesus’ name Amen.

18.

Let us take one step back. Did Joseph not have his ‘beloved’ brothers sell him into slavery? Was Portiphar’s wife not try to seduce him? Was he not thrown in prison? All for a dream to be fulfilled. Did he know that it would ever be? It was just a dream or series of dreams. Did he not stop sharing because even his father of who’s eye he was the apple of; was like “Hmmph!” Again, all he said was “I had this dream.” So, should we dream? Should we strive toward the accomplishment of what has already been given?

Folks! There are so many messages in what is written above. Why do you sit fallow when there exists a World full of promises! Did our Father not create The Universe? It might have been robbed from some; but is this on the now not our inheritance? So many times I am struck be the solidity of The Word; what it says and how it says it.

Funny enough, I am well aware that I said that I would leave this out. But, to God’s grace, I share for a reason; I did not have this understanding of the word prior. Now in simply ‘being’ so much is shown to me and I share. So, that being said; I am sure you have a bible (or two or three) in your house! Available on “cell phones” in this day and age.

We started the 3:16 challenge a few sharings ago. Have we kept up? Really??? What does Genesis 3:16 say? I went to the first book…Do we remember that song? “When you read, you begin with A-B-C; when you count you begin with 1-2-3, when you sing, you begin with Do-Re-Mi…” When we threw the challenge did you think to start from the beginning? I know it was a challenge. Admittedly, the sharing are long and taxing but hopefully rewarding. So, that in each there is at least one thing to take away.

So in the verse above, unlike other times I will not ‘hide’ it in the follow up text but rather say “Thay are the Word of God to someone.” Is it a promise or reality? I am done. I will leave that and let it be. Once again, be sure to glance at your bible now and then. I hope I showed you just why.

Back to our discussion. Are we sitting on The Promises? Waiting for them to present themselves? Just as in the days of the Isrealites when this was written. What where they waiting for? The handvog God to hand them His promises on a silver platter? Uhh, no! We have to go out there and conquer challenges. Did The Lord fight for them, going forth and spreading disarray? Better believe it; even in So many places is it spoken of in The Word that a thing The Lord uses to aide those who believe and trust in Him is nature:

Exodus 9:26, Psalm 78:48, Psalm 148:8, Psalm 105:32, Exodus 9:23, Exodus 9:25, Psalm 18:12

People, I just took a small of the many Scripture that show how The Lord can use even nature to make a HUGE difference

Back to our verse for the now. What has God promised you? I will be so brazen as to say, if given a chance I could not relay even a mere tinkle in the ocean of promise. I will be more clear, there is an ocean of promise. Time to go swimming, and while we learn to doggy paddle before we grow elegant is our swimming, we have armbands, floated and if we need to rest, definitely we can take the time off. Which is advised. Even Olympic athletes take breaks, no? We are running a different race, go into the back room and rest but for a while. The Lord be praised, we can and will find rest in Him in Jesus’ name.

Lord, Heavenly Father, King of kings and Lord of lords. Father I glorify You this and every day. Lord, I will for the rest of my existence here on Earth and in Heaven with You. Father, I know You have stated that what is decreed here on earth is established in Heaven. Father, may I be so bold as to say that I decree here on Earth that by Your grace, Your tender guidance that I in Jesus’ name will be with and in You for eternity. Thank You Father, I place my being prostrate before Thee. Use me Lord. Yes, there are many who do not know You yet. Lord, cause me to be a lamp and show them the path they must take to be with You. Lord, in any way that I have sinned: my thoughts, words, actions forgive me Father. Cause me to say to those that hold things against me that I Love them with The Love of Jesus. No judgement, no self enhancement or proclamation. Lord keep me humble, patient and kind through Your grace Father. Thank You for going before me this day. Father thank You for the testimonies I will share of Your grace, merciful and my blessings in Jesus’ name, thank You Father, amen

19.

Let me ask what Joshua asked the Isrealites:

Then Joshua asked them, “How long are you going to wait before taking possession of the remaining land the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given to you?”

– Joshua 18:3

It has been done, it has been spoken! We can receive it and posess it in Jesus’ name. Too many times we hear “I can’t!” or “I’m unable!” or “It’s just not for me!” Really??? It had been given, just as stated in our verse for the day. Did the Israelites mosey in and ‘cash in’ on The promise

20.

Beloved as the shortness or small stature of Zacheus did not prevent him from having a divine encounter with the Lord Jesus, I pray for you this morning that no power of any shape or force shall impede your forward and upward movement this year. As Jesus collapsed time, turning water to wine in the wedding in Canaan, covering the embarrassment and shame of the bridegroom, this year the Lord shall cover every embarrassing situation in your life, remove your shame, collapse time for you and move you forward with speed. As Elijah outran the chariot of Ahab running on foot, this year you shall pursue, overtake and recover in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Good morning. Its a blessed day.

21.

Awesome! Isn’t it???

He has sent us a mighty Savior from the royal line of his servant David, …

– Luke 1:69

Our Father, even well before He sent His son knew what ‘line’ He would be of. If we take a look at the Word. So many years prior David (a shepherd boy), looked down on by his older warrior brothers; went out and slew Goliath. Many lessons are in that story. We will but focus on a primary key point. David was in the eye and good graces of The Lord. We will start from when after the defeat of Goliath, he was taken to work in the palace of king Saul.

We remember how king Saul had nothing but contempt and hatred for David and pursued him to kill him. So much so that The Lord put the legions of men in king Sauls army into a deep sleep, but even then David respected whom God had chosen as King of Israel.

We move on; finally with the passage of Saul and his family. David was crowned king. So many wars were fought and won.  king David, then did wrong. He slept with Bathseba, one of his fighting men’s wives and got her pregnant, he did wrong in the sight of God. In his desire to form a ruse, he sent for Uriah, her husband, so he could ‘sleep’ with his wife and think the child was his own. But following the rules of combat, during the period of conflict, there was to be no coupling between even married couples. So he slept outside, away from his wife.

No chance of convincing him that the offspring was his. Then David did the unthinkable, he had Uria h placed in the thick of battle and left to die. Essentially murdering him. As said there is so much to learn. Uriah hearing that her husband had been killed, mourned for him and after the mourning period, David sent for her and took her as a wife.

So much more to learn. We have choices, things are laid out before us and we might be led by a quiet voice on just what to do. Many times, we may decide to go of our own accord as opposed to what we are led to do. Just as in this case. To end the learning point; Nathaniel a prophet then met with king David telling him a parable. David confessed his sin and was forgiven as he stood with much to be taken from him.

“Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.  Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’

“This is what the Lord says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight. You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.’”

Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”

Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. 14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die.”” 2 Smuel 12:7-14

We are almost done. What then do and can we say about someone who has done so ‘wrong’. The Lord forgives, when He does, He has exalted His words above His name. The creator of the universe? Lesson, though David had sinned grievously, he sought the face of The Lord for forgivess that we would have a hard time giving! Cheating, murder, falling for desire? But we have a God whose Word is placed above His name. So much so that His Son, a part of Him, our Father in Heaven would have a part of God be in the family of king David.

I am aware that this is a bit long, but as promised, so much to learn. Now, I share because there are some among us who feel and think they are not ‘worthy’. Do you realize what Love is, what God is?

We will make it simple:

I.  TRUE LOVE IS PATIENT (makroyumew= to be of a long spirit, not to lose heart) (VS. 4A).

A.  Patient means to be longsuffering, slow to anger, slow to punish

1.       Patient with those who need to grow

2.       Patient with the imperfections of others

3.      Patient when mistakes are made.

II.  TRUE LOVE IS KIND (crhsteuoami= to be kind, use kindness ) (VS. 4B).

A. Kindness means Carrying out acts that demonstrate louingkindness.  (1 Jo 3:18)  “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”

(Pr 31:20)  She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.

1.       Love seeks ways to demonstrate itself.

2.       Love goes beyond what is “expected”.

·         Example of the Good Samaritan

III. TRUE LOVE DEFENDS (stegw = to protect or keep by covering, to preserve, to cover over with silence )(VS. 7A).

(Pr 10:12) “Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.”

(1Pe 4:8)  “And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

A. Love does not attack, but defends.

1.       Love attempts to protect and defend.

IV.  TRUE LOVE BELIEVES AND COMMITS (pisteuw = believe , be committed unto )(VS. 7B). (1Jo 3:16)  “By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for th-e brethren.”

A.  Love Produces Strong commitment.

1.       Like that of the Apostles of old who were committed to Christ even to the point of being martyred.

V.  TRUE LOVE TRUSTS (elpizw = trust , hope )(VS. 7C)

A.  Trust means assuming the best about Someone, not the worst.

(Heb.5:9) “Beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.

VI.   TRUE LOVE PERSEVERES (upomenw = endure , to preserve: under misfortunes and trials )(VS. 7D).

(Job 13:15) “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.”

(2 Ti 2:10)  Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

A.   Perseverance means staying loyal in bad times as well as the good.

VII.  TRUE LOVE ENDURES – (menw = Abide, continue, dwell, endure,be present, remain, stand, tarry (for),)(VS. 13)

(Ge 29:20) “So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed only a few days to him because of the love he had for her.”

A. ENDURANCE means a refusal to give up or give in.

As always, I have to give honor and respect where and when it is due. I in reading found this and it hit the core definitions.

So, we see that even someone who stepped awrong in respect to God’s laws and will, was considered an ancestor of the family that would raise a part of Him.

It is no small thing. A few times I have stated that God created Mary for that purpose, to be the earthly Mother of a part of Him. We can say in all actuality that God came down and offered a part of Himself for you and I.

Lord, I thank and praise you for your amazing Love for me. Thank you that your Love endures forever. Thank you that your Love is the source of my Love for You and for others. Help me to enjoy Your love today, in Jesus’ name, Amen

For those who might see just what to do, why to believe, Let us pray:

Lord, I stand here before You with nothing, I realize that I bring nothing to the table save for my sin. Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness. Tough me Lord and make me whole. That I may find brother’s and sister’s through You to help me with the walk, so that I may meet You Spirit to spirit in that day and at that time you have scheduled it to be. Than You Lord, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

22.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:2 -3

The Lord our God is true people! Let us give Him praise. He is known by His name Yahweh. Let us take a moment to see where this is from. God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.” (Exodus 3:15)

But the Hebrew would be pronounced something like “Yahweh,” and is built on the word for “I am.”

I read this and it brought tears to my eyes. Everything depends on God. No matter what is is, God created it.

When we have God in our lives, we are richer than rich. This shall all pass away, then what? If you personally have faith that what is promised will  be. We hold on and will never let go.

23.

I am aware that we have dealt with the book of Johsua, but I’ll say “this is a Josh day!” We read: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Jos 1:8 ESV)

Do you get that??? Not just success. “Good success.” Okay, so we all know what success is, in school an A in a suobject. What then would you call an A+? The extra credit payed off! So how do we get an A++? Is it possible? Well, I have to say we have something to consider, do right by The Word. We have much to consider. For some, not so much to do, But rather an encouragement to continue as you were, even for the A++ step it up! Actually, we are considering an A+++ A standard for all we do.

So, then what are we to do with The Word? We have mentioned it prior “Meditate upon The Word day and night.”orld Let me ask, what is your favorite bible verse? As we did in the past, we encouraged the 3:16 challenge. For favorite verses, we are not considering a John 3:16, for that we are impressed and touched by it. For God so Loved the Wworld that He gave His only begotten Son, to die for you and I, and if you believe you are rewarded with Life eternal.

But we asked 3:16 for other books. So, let us get busy! Want to be prosperous??? Well, you know what to do.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THEME: ASSOCIATED WITH CHANGE?

Memorise:

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.

Deuteronomy 28:11-13

If there is any single word that symbolises Jesus Christ, it is the word, “Change”. While some changes are for good, some others have negative consequences. Encountering Jesus Christ brings positive change to you. Everything about Jesus spells change. The moment He was born into this world, things began to change. Even the old calendar was changed to reflect the years before Christ was born (BC) and the years after (AD). By His virgin birth, He introduced change to the rules of childbirth. This is why  “meno-pause” can become “meno-play”. By the change He brought, we have seen a 56 year-old woman testifying before the people of God with her newborn baby. No wonder Jesus said God can raise children out of stones (Matthew 3:9). Are you trusting God for the fruit of the womb but menopause is telling you that your time is past? Tell it

that because your Saviour and Master, Jesus, stands for change, it cannot stand in your way. Shortly, you shall celebrate with your own baby!

If you are connected to Jesus, you cannot but experience glorious changes in your life. Nothing that He created can stand in your way. If what He created cannot stop you, how then can the evil forces and evil mechanisms that were designed by the hordes of hell stop you? They also answer to Him! Indeed, the moment He walked on water, He not only defied the law of gravity, He also made it respond to His will (Matthew 14:23-27). By this act, the man who said what goes up must come down began to have problems with his postulates. If you encounter Jesus, you go up and stay up. This is why Deuteronomy 28:13 says,

“And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:”

Is the law of gravity affecting your business, ministry, academics, family or spiritual life? I command its downward effect to cease dragging you down from now on! From today you shall go up, and your ascent shall be unstoppable. You shall be the head and stay ahead. Ask for a definite encounter with Jesus today. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, that is the best place to start.

Key Point:

If you have Jesus, you will be an agent of positive change everywhere you go. Do you reflect this change?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

Exodus 22-23

Isaiah 66:1-14

26.

And we pray this each and everyday:

Have mercy upon me, O God, Heavenly Father, according to thy Lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Father I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Psalm 51:1

27.

Except for women or Roman dignitaries, persons condemned to crucifixion were scourged prior to being lead to the execution site. A quaterno of four soldiers, supervised by a centurion (the exactor mortis), comprised the crucifixion team. The exactor mortis was responsible for verifying death of the victims, exemplified in the biblical account with Jesus (Mark 15:43-45).

There was no limitation on extent or severity Roman scourging, except the condemned should not be killed prior to crucifixion. The whip used for scourging, referred to as the flagrum or flagellum, consisted of leather strands with lead balls or pieces of bone (goat or lamb talus) sewn into the ends. Beating with a flagrum would cause contusions and lacerations extending to the trunk, arms and legs. The scourging of Jesus was his third beating. Roman soldiers were known to have anti-Semitic feelings and they would have viewed Jesus as a political insurgent, heightening the brutality of their scourging.

The repeated beatings Jesus experienced, finalized with a scourging, exceeds the typical degree of pre-execution torture. The potential effects of this are several, from a medical standpoint. It could have lead to internal organ damage such as pnemothorax (collapsed lung), pleural effusion (fluid around the lung), a possible component of a consumptive coagulopathy (depletion of blood products involved in clotting), as well as greater than usual blood loss making him vulnerable to shock.

Just to go over what Christ endured, I looked up scourgibg and came up with the above. Not only that, but the “crown of thorns” was brutishly driven into His scalp, so we can go on. Jesus went through Hell for us! Yes, I know exactly what I am saying. We were condemned by pre-existing sin and our acts (think of what we were potentially subject to!).

God created a unique part of Himself to represent Him in Heaven, to do as He would do. For the fact that Jesus was created by God, He by definition is called The Son of God, just as in The Word it says that the creations of God-the angels have been called the sons of God Genesis 6:1-8. The difference is this is the first and only begotten Son of God. “begotten not made,” meaning that the Son is not a creature but rather shares in the selfsame nature as the Father. The Holy Spirit is then the life-giving love breathed out between the Father and the Son.

If we read Genesis 6:1-8, there exists a misnomer. The “sons” of God. God did not create Jesus, Jesus is and was a part of God, just the way God was with the Israelites on their exit from Egypt. In essence and factually a part of God came to Earth. We may want to call God Father, Jesus is God, as the Holy Spirit is God in you.

A day never break without a bird singing. I decree that there will always be a joyful song for you to sing each day of your life. You will never lack. Miracle shall take place in your life and testimonies will not cease in your home. Unexpected blessing, divine joy shall locate you today!!!  Good morning my People  and Have a Blessed day.

READING: Colossians 3: 18-25

TOPIC: THE CHRISTIAN HOME

The first institution God founded on earth was marriage (Gen. 2: 18-25) and this is the bedrock of every home. Faith in Jesus Christ not only changes individuals; it also changes homes. Paul addresses family members – husbands, wives, children and servants (vs. 18-22). The home is meant to be a place of joy, happiness, security and comfort; but so many marriages are under pressure, causing homes to dysfunction. Consequently, society is also in disarray.

One of the greatest things we can do as individuals is to help in building godly Christian homes. Paul addressed the various members of the family and pointed out the factors that make for a strong and godly home which are:

1.     Submission of wives to their husbands (v. 18)

2.      Love from husbands to their wives (v. 19)

3.      Obedience of children to their parents in all things (v. 20)

4.      Father not provoking their children (v. 21).

5.      Total obedience of servants to their masters (v. 22).

We must do the above heartily and conscientiously to the glory and praise of God.

PRAYER: Almighty God, crown my home with beauty and peace in Jesus name. Amen.

30.

A little difficult to understand; let me start by saying we are all made in His image, both Male and Female. God is Spirit, the Heavenly host are Spirits. Some have experienced this and them on Earth. I took to thinking in the past as Angels being male or female. They just are. As we are, so are they.

We have spoken about Angels being seen ascending and descending between planes. There has been reason to do so. We each have a guardian angel as believers. Have you thanked God for this?

As we stated in the past “Mighty dread had filled their ‘troubled’ minds, the Angel of The Lord came down and glory shone around.” We are told What was experienced with the sighting of Angels. God created all, each with a purpose. To surround Him with praise an honor. There are different forms. At the entrance to the garden of Eden to guard it against entrance. If the tree of Life is there, oh course many would search for it; though to a dismal end. For Cherubim with flaming swords were placed to guard it.

So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.” (Genesis 3:23, 24)

In Heaven, there is no ‘age’, no ‘time’. Yes, things here on Earth can be seen to be advancing with time. At times we ask and wonder why we do not receive ‘quick-quick’. God’s time is not our time! Plus God sees all we do not see, sees where we shall be and with Knowledge knows what will be. With the creation often world when things went awry, God knew just when things would end. He allowed those who serve Him totally in Spirit and truth to observe the times; this he did with the apostle John and we are told today that it has been attributed to his authorship:

Traditionally, this was often believed to be the same person as John, son of Zebedee, one of the apostles of Jesus, to whom the Gospel of John was also attributed. The early 2nd century writer, Justin Martyr, was the first to equate the author of Revelation with John the Evangelist.

The cherubim were created by God, part of the angelic host who serve God continually. There is no description in the Bible, except when used in decoration. Golden cherubim adorned the Mercy Seat on the Ark of the Covenant, at God’s request (Exodus 25:18-22; 1 Kings 6: 23-28; Hebrews 9: 5) and are mentioned in the visions of Ezekiel (Ezekiel 10; and 11: 22). Nothing more is known about them, but there is no reason to doubt their existence.

We can go and look through Scripture at the ‘description’ of the Heavenly host. One essential thing is that both Male and Female are made in their form. But with different human function. We are of Earth, we must have children, must pro-create; hence the difference between man and woman. We touched on this; God created Animals and saw that it was good. The animals had children, no? It bewildered me that animals have offspring without what man was told would be:

To the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.”

Genesis 3:16

“Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.

John 16:21

and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

Revelation 12:2

The pains of childbirth come upon him; He is not a wise son, For it is not the time that he should delay at the opening of the womb.

Hosea 13:13

Again I point out that we brought it upon ourselves. Amazingly the Heavenly host were all created by God, the maker of Heaven and Earth. I will admit that I was a little confused or ignorant at the billions of guardian Angels there must be. And it came to me; “The creator of Heaven and Earth has a Home in another plain where time or space has no limits, no definition.” We could have a Google of believers there and there would be so much more room to spare. For those of you who think I am referring to the web site:

A googol is 10 to the 100th power (which is 1 followed by 100 zeros). A googol is larger than the number of elementary particles in the universe, which amount to only 10 to the 80th power.

So, it is amazing that all who are there will realize why they are there and give Him the praise that is due God. So, let me ask “Do you want to be a part of this throng of believers?” There definitely is a way, let us pray.

Father Lord we learn so much about You. Your essence, Father You are Love. Thank You for this day, For going ahead of me and being glorified in my actions. Father, take control. Guide me lead me, Father Touch me as I have never been touched before. Thank You for my testimony, Father I want to be in Your presence but realize that You have a plan for me. Father may Your word be on and in my Spirit in the name of Jesus, Amen.

And for those who might not ‘believe’ as of yet:

“Lord, I stand before You convinced that I have not the right to stand before You. You sent Your ONLY Son that He go though all He did for me. He did not deserve to die, for He was sinless. Lord, I ask for Your pardon, Your forgiveness. Lord I five my Life to You, that I may be among them that praise You for all You give them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If You have done this, please go and find a fellowship. Even if it is ‘illegal’ where you are. I am sure there is a group about. Shhh! Just listen and you will be surprised at what you hear. Pray about it and by God’s grace you will discover where you are meant to be.

Have an awesomely blessed day. In Jesus’ name.

31.

Even death. I know that is hard to believe, but if we are at deaths door secondary to our belief-what would we do?

Funny to say; a lot of people who know what they will see are only too excited to go home. We see it in ailing folk; a smile on their face telling you they will miss you. I can tell you it is but a moment and you will be reunited. There are no ‘day’s’, no ‘night’, no exhaustion. Let me ask you this to make my point. When you sleep do you dream of you sleeping. Your Spirit is awake. Many times we do not remember what we dream about, but it is an awesome way to hear from The Lord. Let us sanctify that time!

Let us pray:

Father Lord, thank You for this day, thank You for Your word, Your promises. Father you have placed Your word higher than Your name. We bless you Father, Son and Holy Ghost with pur Spirits Lord, in truth. Father, there is so much you do in my life, Lord thank You for my life, for today, yesterday and tomorrowe. Lord so praise You. Where I stood wrong, I am ashamed and seek Your forgiveness. Father may I please be given the drive and hunger to need you more; near me; Love You more dearly; follow You more dearly day by day. In Jesus’ name, Amen
