Month 6

1.

Just found another one guys and gals: How shall we be strengthened? Does the Holy Spirit grant us ‘strength’. To lift weights in the gym???? I dunno!!! But I think there is somewhere we can find out… That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; Ephesians 3:16

So, by His grace we are all athletes. Let us run and not look back! If there is a runner by the roadside; help them up!

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

James 1:2,3

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Can we tell what 3:16 this is? Hint? Hmmm, what is that on the ‘end’ of your… Nah! No hints. First one who get a this wins.

2.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Rise and shine; here comes another day. This is deep. Grab your ladders so you can climb out!

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

James 1:2,3

Hmmm! I guess we are supposed to weather the storms! We are supposed to learn things. I guess I thought life could be an ‘easy street’. “Think again knockle head.”

“Hey! Why’d you call me that???”

“What and why d’yoi think you have all these trials?”

“I was thinking I was on the ‘outs’ with God, or Satan was playing ping pong with my whole self.”

“Learn to smile and thank God for all. It is the way to be in good times or bad. You know, He never gives you more than you can handle. But you learn from every situation.”

“You know what? You should be a pastor!,

“Who me??? No way Jose. Uh uh”

“I was just thinking out loud. Any bible verses today?”

“James 1:2,3. Your turn tomorrow dude!”

“Cool, ‘night”

3 .

We have spoken about ‘riddle solvers’; I will just call them ‘Smarty plant’s 😀Well time for another ‘sharing’.

We all know what John 3:16 says. Right? How about we start a quiz on 3:16’s. Not just in the new testament? All tears say “I”. Ok, let’s start with a fairly easy one. This time I will give you the verse. But we will get to a point where I expect you to know. (Whisper goes around the room “Is he serious? My answer to what I happened to overhear. “You had best believe it!”

So where is this from???

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

Do not scroll just about yet. What did I

say??? Alright scroll and check your answers.

It says exactly what it says.

Colossians 3:16

4.

We have continually spoken about being blessed. Let’s share yet another fact.

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. Psalm 37:22

Let us press forward. We shall press toward the mark for the prize of The High calling! Can you sense it in your spirit? We run a race that many have run before. We want to be with our Loved ones for eternity! Let us continue to run this race and keep our eyes focused on what truly matters.

5.

Wow! And I say Wow! Again, read with me:

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Hebrews 7:22

Take delight in the Lord,

and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

Why is Jesus our Lord and Savior? Not just for what He did, laying His Life out to be trampled on by people what didn’t deserve to be in His presence! He healed the sick, the blind saw, the lame walked, people He even raised the dead! This is not what I want to focus on…

If and when we choose to delight ourselves in The source of Joy (Angels sing His praises continually) When He came to Earth as an Infant, there was so much partying in Heaven that even those in the field tending the sheep saw only a twinkle of the celebration.

And there were shepherds in the same country [they were in the same fields from which David had been called to tend God’s Israel, or flock] abiding in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock. [When the flock is too far from the village to lead it to the fold at night, these shepherds still so abide with it in the field, even in the dead of winter.]

And an angel of the Lord stood by them [He stood upon the earth at their side, and did not float above them in the heavens, as he is usually pictured. His standing upon the earth shows a fuller fellowship and sympathy with men–comp. Acts 1:10 ], and the glory of the Lord shone round about them [The Shechinah, or bright cloud, which symbolizes the divine presence ( Exodus 24:16 ; 1 Kings 8:10 ; Isaiah 6:1-3 ; Romans 9:4 ). It was seen by the three apostles upon the mount of transfiguration ( Matthew 17:5 ), by Stephen (Acts 7:55 ), and by Paul– Acts 22:6-11 ]: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy (The party we just mentioned in Heaven)[Christianity is a religion of present joys, and leads onward to joy eternal] which shall be to all the people:

And the Angel said “for there is born to you [born as a gift to us– John 3:16 ] this day in the city of David a Saviour.”

He Lives to Intercede for us!!! He could be minding The Spiritual business, but He having come, experienced and seen what a challenge it is, intercede for us!

“Father ‘so-and-so’ could do with a hand. Can we send an Angel to help them out?”

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

Hebrews 13:2

There is so much to say and share! But one of the verses in there says it all. Be kind to others for you Mau not know if and when you will see/meet an Angel.

Father Lord, Mighty King Jesus, Your all do I seek. Hallelujah for Your word Father, thank You for Your Love. You touch, heal, fill, feed, embrace us when we open our hearts. Father, in the name of Jesus fill me, Lord may Your Spirit fill me till I overflow. Jesus, thank You for Your constant intercession on my behalf. Lord, You are my all. Holy Spirit thank You for being in my heart and showing me things that I would have missed. Holy trinity, even when I am without, You are my all. My heart goes out to You, embrace me in Jesus’ name, Amen

6.

When God created fish He spoke to the sea, when God was creating trees He spoke to the earth but *when God was creating man He spoke to Himself.*

Take a fish out of the water it will die nd when you take a tree out of the earth, it will die. *In the same way when you take man out of God, he dies spiritually.*

God is our natural environment. *We were created to live in His presence.* Connect to Him because in Him is life.

God bless you.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: SUNDAY 5th MARCH 2017

THEME: HE BEARS BURDENS

Memorise:

Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Read: Matthew 27:27-32

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross

MESSAGE:

In Exodus 1:8-11, a generation of the children of Israel woke up one day and realised they had become slaves in a foreign land. From that moment, their children were born into slavery. Slavery became a burden that was attached to them for hundreds of years. Has something unsavoury been attached to you from birth? The Lord shall separate you from such burdens today in Jesus’ Name! Thankfully, just as there are burdens, there are also burden-bearers. A burden-bearer is someone who sees you carrying some burden and offers to carry it for you, or gives you a helping hand. We see this demonstrated in today’s Bible reading. While leading Jesus to Golgotha where He would crucified, the Roman soldiers made Him carry His heavy wooden cross. Even though He had been thoroughly beaten, was bleeding and was tired, He still had to carry his cross. As they began the journey, Simon of Cyrene came along and he was compelled by the soldiers to assist Jesus in carrying His cross.

Some years ago, we had an experience with one of our domestic workers. Whenever we ask her to suggest a chorus during our family devotion, she would always raise a particular song that says, “The fire is burning the bush but the bush is not consumed, how great is our God.” One day, we curiously decided to find out about this fire she kept singing of. On interviewing her, we discovered that she became a housemaid because her parents were heavily indebted and could not pay. By the grace of God, we paid the debt. The following day, when asked to suggest a chorus during prayer time, she sang a new song which proclaimed “He has done it for me!” If you have carried a burden for so long and the burden gets lifted away, your song will indeed change. The burden-bearer is the one who sees you carrying a burden and empathises with you. He comes to say to you that the load you are carrying is too heavy for you, and then offers to help you. There is no greater burden-bearer than the Lord Jesus Christ! He wants to help you carry any load you are struggling with. Here is His call to you today:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Accept His invitation, and call Him for help.

Action Point:

Confess these words to the Lord: Lord Jesus, I answer to Your call, I bring all of my burden to You. I lay them all at Your feet. I ask that You give me rest. Teach my heart to learn to cast all of my cares upon You in faith, and not to live in worry.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR :Genesis 34-35 and Isaiah 51:1-16

8.

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; Psalm 107:2

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Ephesians 1:7

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:10

We have to boldly declare the fact of our redemption. We are not to keep quiet about it.

We have touched on this. We shared that our actions should speak volumes. I in reading came across the verses that say “to shout it out.” May be with actions, let The Spirit lead. But The Word says what it says. So, be blessed and have a fruitful day!

9.

Our God sits over ALL, we do not need to wonder. In our Lgives we should allow the grave, beauty, goodness and all we gain speak for us.

God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted. Psalm 47:8,9

10.

They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay. Psalm 18:18

We receive blessings as we trust in The Lord. When and if we do, testimonies abound. Hallelujah! Just what does the word say?

He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me. Psalm 18:17-22

11.

We have spoken before about the Spiritual gifts; faith, hope and charity. Having these is the way to Live successfully, that is what the bible says.

And now abideth Faith, Hope, Charity, these three; but the greatest of these is Charity.

1 Corinthians 13:13

When we study the ten commandments, they are all summed up in Love.

Do not have any other god before God. If we Love our God, God alone is our only and true God. This defines Love. Loving The Lord, our Maker from Whom all things flow. So, praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Do not make yourself an idol. We can start to put our trust in man made things, trinkets or ‘religious object’s, it amounts to having an idol. If we truly Love The Lord, nothing stands in the way. It is you straight to God.

Do not take the Lord’s name in vain. We might say “…punish you.” Or “I swear in… Or in the name of…”. If you truly Love, Love comes with respect, thus, respecting God movescus to allow our yes’s to be yes anecour no’s to be no

Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy. Did God rest after he created earth. Yes, and it was on the 7th day. I know we have discussed Periods. On and in the 7th period, God rested. In The Word it says God does not slumber, is always keen to our existence. If you Love Him, you will find the time to fellowship with Godvib an inner room, or in a congregation of believers. Show your Love for our Creator, one way we can start is to show our Love, by doing as God did.

Honor thy Mother and Father. Nothing needs to be said, with honor we base it on ‘feelings’ and feelings are based on nothing but Love.

Do not murder. This speaks for itself. Love each other. If you do, this will be the last thing on your Spirit, in Jesus’ name.

Do not commit adultery. What is yours is Yours, what or a person who belongs to someone else is not yours, don’t touch, think of, even dream about. If you do, you do not ‘Love’ the person whose heart is with whom you Connie adultery, even in the sense of thinking about it. Remember, we will give account of even our ‘private’ thoughts on that day. They will not be so ‘private’ then. A good reason to start streamlining our thoughts in genuine Love and respect.

Do not steal. I will leave this on your plate. First one who can relate this to Love wins.

12.

I gave you fare heed. Test time! Who here can design a website for ‘sharing’ scripture, prayer requests, testimonies etc? Just asking. Ok, now to work! Which one is not a 3:16?

A) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Galatians 3:16

B) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16

C) Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 2 Corinthians 3:16

D) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 3:16

13.

Let us read a prayer for bed. Alleluia!

I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good. Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.

Psalm 119: 32-41

Reproach: blame or censure conveyed in disapproval: a term of reproach.

For example: An expression of reproof or censure, to disgrace or discredit.

14.

Might I ask? Are you bothered? What is troubling you? Or let me put it this way; what can I do to help? Well, let me share what I realized:

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?  Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

Luke 12:25-26

Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

“Consider how the wild flowers grow. Beautiful blossoms, we spend so much on bouquets for birthdays, weddings, celebrations. To take it one step further, in funeral parlors. Did you give the person who passed a single flower when they were with us? I will leave that alone and let it be. The wild flowers do not labor or spin yet they bestow their beauty on your senses. (Except those with pollen allergies.)

Ok, now that it has been said (The words to help); What can we do with your life? Well, I should ask what you can do?

What I will do is share some bible veres that address this issue in particular.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 1:2-4

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 4:66

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

2 Corinthians 4:8-99

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Hebrews 13:55

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

1 John 4:18

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

1 Peter 5:10

You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.”

2 Chronicles 20:17

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:1

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

1 Samuel 17:45

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9

So, it is all in The Word, what we can and should do.

15.

O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.104:25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. There go the ships: there is that leviathan,

le·vi·a·than

ləˈvīəTHən/

noun

(in biblical use) a sea monster, identified in different passages with the whale and the crocodile (e.g., Job 41, Ps. 74:14), and with the Devil (after Isa. 27:1).

a very large aquatic creature, especially a whale.

“the great leviathans of the deep”

a thing that is very large or powerful, especially a ship.

whom thou hast made to play therein These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season. That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good. Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth. The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works. He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke. I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

Psalm 104:24’34

Where do we start this ‘sharing’? It talks of the creations of our Father. And just how they seperate from us are able to grow to such size. It for one is a miracle. A whale for example. That big? I am sure we could go through science books and ‘figure’ out the ‘science’ behind it. But I never thought to do so until I read this. In fact there are so many things we take for granted.

16.

Increase Your Spiritual teacher’s Effectiveness

‘Preach the Word… correct, rebuke and encourage.’ 2 Timothy 4:2 NIV

Let’s consider some other ways you can help your pastor be more effective:

(1) Understand that it’s your pastor’s responsibility to enlighten you, not entertain you. Writing to Timothy, Paul says, ‘Preach the Word…correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.’ Encouragement we enjoy; correction and rebuke we must learn to accept. ‘The Lord disciplines those He loves.’ (Hebrews 12:6 NIV) Your pastor is God’s instrument for your spiritual growth, not for your entertainment. When you don’t like the sermon, maybe it’s ‘scratching where the real itch is’. Don’t resent the messenger; instead review the message in light of God’s Word. Emulate the Berean Christians who ‘received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.’ (Acts 17:11 NIV)

(2) Talk to—not about—your pastor. If you’ve an issue, you’ve a Scriptural obligation to talk first to the Lord, then personally to your pastor—and always with love and grace (see Matthew 18:15; Ephesians 4:15). Remember, pastors are cut from the same bolt of cloth as you. They forget things, have ‘off days’, make mistakes, and are occasionally insensitive. And a good pastor will receive the truth when it’s spoken in love. They’ll consider your concerns, admit when they’re wrong, and seek to grow by it. On the other hand, talking about your pastor creates strife in the church. Like yeast, it ‘leavens the whole lump of dough.’ (1 Corinthians 5:6 NAS)

Bottom line: ‘Don’t touch [God’s] chosen [ones]’ (1 Chronicles 16:22 CEV) by talking about them behind their back, and don’t give credence to those who do.

SoulFood: Rev 5–9, Luke 13:18–35, Ps 136:1–12, Prov 6:30–31

17.

I will sing unto The Lord a new song, for He is worthy to be praised.

I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Psalm 104:33

So, let us praise Him people, He is worthy of prause. You know what? 🈷”Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what The Lord has done.”

It is the end of a week. Take a moment to look back and adore Him in all His Glory. For those who have ‘excuses’ to complain; you are here, still alive, no? In His name, tomorrows is another day. So let us thank Him for this week.

How did we do on the question yesterd? More to come! Stay tuned.

18.

Just what we experience. At times we might come to a situation and try to figure it out. Should I? Can I? Must I? Are upper most in our thoughts. Why? I ask. Just why? A good question to ask yourself is “Have I prayed about it?” Might sound like a bit much, but the best way to go about things is to talk with God, Jesus and The Hole Spirit who are right there. They know your situation, they are just awaiting your decision to allow them to act, to guide you. Take the time and learn to lay every situation no matter how petty before God.

🈷What a friend we have in JesusWhat a friend we have in Jesus

All our sins and griefs to bear

And what a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer…

The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

Proverbs 22:2-4

Thank You for Your word Father, go before us this day. Be Thou glorified in our Life. Where we are unsure guide us, open our hearts, our selves to be led by You. Where we stand with raw emotion in our heart, Lord lead us to let it go. Thank You for today, we ask that You go before us and cause this to be a day where we feel closer to you in Jesus’ name, Ameng

19.

We all are aware of this verse. We can quote it without fail. In Sunday school’s the world over John 3:16 is quoted, recited and memorized. Let’s start this way. Anyone know what it says? Ok, ok. So we had takers.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

But folks what comes after that??? Do we even know? Can we recite it? My guess is that so many are clueless to what exactly John 3:17 says. Takers?  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17 Kinda what we have ‘shared’ prior. Let’s go on. If I was there, I’d question you under the glare of a light above your ‘head’ 😀

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:18-21

Question time! Like you thought I’d let that go.

1. Who said this. To whom? Was it Jesus or Paul?

2. Now it gets “hotter” Who was it said to? And why? What was it a response to?

I kinda told you it would get ‘hotter’ in here. So, let’s answer this. Then we shall rev it up a notch. Just a teeny bit for starters.

20.

At times we dream. Our hopes and wishes are tied up in what shall be. By faith we live in the tomorrows of life. We may be burdened by the present, its challenges and falls;  but our hearts will have a clear understanding of what is, what is to come and in focusing on our Father in Heaven whom we adore and praise, We have a clear understanding of what is to be. This is said best in the book of Psalms: “My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding”.

Psalm 49:3

21.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

We hear this often. How true it is. Great advice for parents, care takers and those ‘saddled’ with the care of the young ones. Guess what? I was ‘mos-ying’ along in The Word and came upon this. Had to read it twice to ensure that it was what I learned, had been taught. That my parents had enforced in me.

Little did I know they were acting on line from…Anyone know? Well, coming from me; we are well aware or have a clue of where that comes from. Let’s see if you can figure it out.

A) Mahatma Gandhi

B) A saying of old, passed through the ages. (Most likely this is it)

C) Abraham Lincoln

D) George Bush

E) Proverbs 22:6

Any takers??? Well, I will be checking your answers. The first will get a serving of ‘Rice and Chicken’ 😜

Have a great day.

22.

Who is The Lord of all? Who defined Love before it existed here on Earth? There was a “Spitualization” before the production of man. God created a period which He termed “Night” as compared with “Day”, He made the stars to shine their light at night. He created Heaven and Earth.

To go back to our word “Spiritualization”, before the world was created, the Heavens were. Before Man was even a shadow in His Spirit, He created all things. He felt there was something missing. There were fish, land animals, birds. And yet there was something missing.

When we cast our minds back to that time, all the Heavenly Spirits were created for a purpose. God created the universe and pondering His tribunal said “On earth there are animals, fish and birds.” And God said “Let us make Man in our own image.”

There were and are angels in Heaven doing what they were created for. (As a little aside, what were you created for?) The main difference between the types of heavenly beings known as cherubim and seraphim is there appearance: cherubim have four faces and four wings, while seraphim have six wings. In the Bible, both the cherubim’s and seraphim’s main role is to sit at the throne and worship God.

God’s Warriors

In just a quick reading of the Book of Revelation and the times in which Israel had sin in the camp, God’s angels carried out His swift judgment but also against those who are evil, as in one “night the angel of the LORD went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere” (2 Kings 19:35).  Imagine how powerful even one angel is!

God’s Worshipers

We are not the only ones who worship God.  The angels of God worship Him, and some do this 24/7–that is, they never stop.  Isaiah caught a glimpse of this when he wrote that “one called to another and said: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory’” (Isaiah 6:3)!  When it was said of God that “when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, ‘Let all God’s angels worship him,’” which refers to Jesus Christ Who is also God (Hebrews 1:6).

God’s Sent Protectors

There are so many accounts where angels protected the life of someone that it is hard to know where to start, but God says that “he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11).  For Daniel’s protection, “God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions” (Daniel 6:22a).  There are many, many more that I could quote that say essentially the same thing.

God’s Messengers

The word “angel” means “messenger of God.” When the angel went to answer Daniel’s prayer, he went with the answer from God.  When Daniel prayed to God, it took three weeks for his God’s answer to come to him via an angel, as it says in Daniel 10, “Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.”  This “Prince of Persia” may have been Satan or one of his chief demon angels.  Gabriel came with a message from God to tell Mary that she was to conceive and give birth to Jesus (Luke 1:26-38).

It gives us a clear picture of why Angels exist. I will say kings in our day and time have their courts. How much more the creator of the Universe. We see that man has stepped wrong and we are suffering for it, but it is factual that in believing, in trusting we have the ultimate promises in our Lives, Hallelujah!

When God created Man, He rested and saw that all was good. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. Genesis 1:31

More so, the Heavens and the Earth were completed in all their vast array.

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.

Genesis 2:1,2

We are in His image! Yes, we have different bodies. But we are created male and female in God’s image. For so long I tried to figure out just what God would be; but in looking through the Scripture He was both Male and Female. We are created in His image this settles it for me. When Moses asked his constant Guide “who should I say sent me?” God’s answer was “I am that I am.”

“Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

God said to Moses, “I am who I am.c This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’ ” Exodus 3:13,14

We read and a verse keeps giving. There are so many places in The Word that it is shown to be exact on ministering to our Spirits. By the way, haven’t I shared that we don the body and exist within, as ‘shared’ we are within. For example in the case that we say “I will do”; who is that “I”? Or “I will do”? When we say “I believe” or “Do not believe.” Who is that who feels this??? We have shared this before, but once again, we as Christians know and believe we are Living within our corporal ‘container’-the body.

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Romans 8:16

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

1 Corinthians 3:16

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own

1 Corinthians 6:19

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians

Phillipians 2:13

Phillipians 2:13

Mighty King Jesus, Hallelujah! Our voices ring with Your praise. You have sent The holy Spirit that dwells within us. Thank You Father for leaving us a part of You. We are led, comforted and taken by Your Spirit to every more beautiful heights. Thank You holy trinity; Jesus for standing in our place, Holy Spirit for being in and with us, Father for allowing all things to happen as You will. Father, You know our tomorrows, let us glorify You in our day’s in Jesus’ name, Amen

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

When we hear the gospel preached, weight it, measure it, if it passes muster then it is acceptable. I will add, pray on it, I know I have not said this before, nut be filled with The Holy Spirit; so that from strength to strength you have an indelible mark of The Spirit as you are blessed and blessed in deed.

That last phrase has a dual meaning; we being a portion of the church of Christ are blessed, and as we set out to do God’s will, we are blessed in our deeds.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:18-21

24.

He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. Psalm 62:2

In trusting in The Lord of hosts there is nothing we can call him but out Rock, our source of salvation! Are we truly aware what that means? So many songs are written about this, but take the time to quietly examine what He has done for you.

In times of turmoil, unrest, trial He alone stands Supreme. Our Father is all, to break this down; He knows the thoughts in our hearts, our dreams, our hopes. He hold us when we need the Love, which is always. He is right there, Hallelujah! Our Father is put right at the door, we invite Him in. We are the only ones who turn our backs on Him.

God has purchased our salvation with His son. We are Loved! Imagine you being a parent? You would rather stand in place of your child If they would undergo such a great trial. Imagine! God sent His Son to stand in Your place. We have forgives because our stripes were borne on Christ. When He was put though the trials that led to His crucifixion, there was nothing He had done wrong! He didn’t call himself The King of the Jews. He was called this by others.

Think of it; He was responsible for making the blind see; raising the dead to life, healing the blind, causing the deaf to hear and speak. We can go through His life day by day. Was there for an instant He broke any laws? In displeasure He cast the sales people from the temple where they looked to make a pretty penny, in the house of God. Let me turn this around what would you have done?

In essence He was making things the way they were supposed to be. We can see the Lord and strive to do the same in life. Our goal is to be like Him (Jesus) for the next 24 hours. As said prior; hold doors, smile, share Love. Let people see The Spirit within you. Testimonies will follow.

25.

O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Psalm 30:3

How true this is. Words do not come close to describing what The Lord has done. It is a testimony of a testimony of a testimony. To God be the GLORY for the things He has done!!!

26.

Are we steadfast in The Lord? Do we keep our eyes focused on The Lord with our eyes not drifting from the left to the right?

You will keep in perfect peace

    those whose minds are steadfast,

    because they trust in you.

Isaiah 26:3

Are we steadfast in The Lord? Do we keep our eyes focused on The Lord with our eyes not drifting from the left to the right?  Keep your eyes on Jesus because He cares for you.

You will keep in perfect peace

    those whose minds are steadfast,

    because they trust in you.

Isaiah 26:3

When it comes time to worship, we shall do it in Spirit and in Truth. Brethren we are constantly in  ‘prayer-more’s, we talk to God every minute, every second of the day. He holds your hand, follow Him that youight step right. Hallelujah! For we are saved by the act of Jesus.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:7

And we pray:

But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast ‘holpen’ me, and comforted me.

Psalm 86:15-17

And we take a moment to understand exactly what The Word is saying.

Holpen: From Middle English holpen, yholpen from Old English ġeholpen, past participle of helpan “to help”.

Thank You Father for being my all. Hallelujah Father. Be glorified in and through me I pray in Jesus name, Amen

I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto Thy word. Accept, I beseech Thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me Thy judgments. Psalm 119:107,108

And we pray as we give God the gratitude in our depth; the gratitude of our hearts and Spirit. We wait on The Lord to do all with and for us.

Lord, we thank You and give You praise and honor. Lord, hold me close. Lord in Your word You say I shall conquer all through Christ who strengthens me. Father, In Jesus’ name I come into Your presence. I rebuke all contrary forces that stand against me. Lord be loosed in My Spirit, touch my life. Lord, I need You. I thank You because I can ask for Your mercy and grace through Jesus my Savior, who through You, freed me from the shackles of sin. Father, I praise You. In my life Lord be glorified always, Amen.

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. Psalm 107:2 ,3

Lord, Father, Holy Spirit; You are one and we praise You. Go before us this day, make all things new, hold me, comfort me, show me Your Love. Father, I am lying before Thee in worship and adoration. Thank You Father In Jesus’ name, Amen

27.

At times we are blessed in deliverance/help/blessings and say “O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.” And we sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness. For His anger endureth for ever and we here on Earth but for a moment; in His favour is our Life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in prosperity we state that we shall never be moved. Amen in Jesus’ name.

LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled: I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication and He delivered me and set my feet on the rock to stay and now we can shout Hallelujah!!!

Psalm 30:3-7

28.

We have so many reasons to Love The Lord. Our yesterdays, our today’s and by Him and through Him; our tomorrows. We can then say “O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.”

Psalm 31:23

In our Father is eternal grace. A very brief way to ‘share’ this is once again, time is an earthly concept. We in our will to move on foster impatience and a will to do; so we can be what? I ask with a smile on my face. There are dreams, hopes, goals; we all have them, they may be different for some, but in essence we all look to move forward. In a matter of words “May our tomorrows be better than today”, even our yesterdays.

We have been given the drive to move on up (makes me remember the song “Moving on up, to the East side; we’ve finally got a piece of the pie.” Yes, I watch and watched TV, but the point here is just like the Jefferson’s, we finally have eternal life. There is nothing like it in all creation. The beauty, the peace, the radiance.

This reminds me of Lot in the bible: The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.”

“No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.” Gen 19:1,2

Lot, pressed with kindness and they went with him to his abode. Soon the people of the city gathered requesting the two men that Lot had taken in, he even offered his daughters who had never slept with a man. Yet the men of Sodom refused and insisted that they wanted the ‘men’ for their pleasure. The then attempted to break down the door.

v.10,11 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.” v.12,13

With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”

When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”

v.15-17

Amazing, the story goes on, but one reason I shared this is because at the crucifixion of Jesus, God could have sent one or two angels and all of Rome would have been destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah.

Our God is eternal, He holds life in the palm of His hand. It is awesome to do His will and allow Him to shine on you. Be bless y’all.

29.

A thing we cannot forget, but are driven to remember: “My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget Thy law.”

Psalm 119:109

So many times and so much we are reminded of this. Give it back. At least I can say gently, a somewhat complex diatribe ensues:

A.”It wasn’t yours to start with.”

B.”But it was given to me.”

A:”I see where you are coming from, you can say it was ‘loaned’ to you…”

A:”But, it is mine…”

B:”Sorry to interrupt, but what is yours?”

A:”My life, and I can do with it just what I want. Let me give you an example- If I want to be an astronaut, pilot, engineer or doctor, its my choice.”

B:”True that! But when it’s all over, then what?”

A.”Over? What do you mean by over?”

B:”Let me be ‘whistle clean’ clear. If you earned every penny that you dream of; live in a fancy house, have as many cars as you wish, even marry the person of Your dreams…”

A:”Let me stop you there. Can she have a ‘banging no…”

B:”You are getting ‘too into’ this….”

A:”You started it!”

B:”Ok, I’ll give you all that and more. A woman with a ’10’, kids that win awards in sports, music, academics, theater…”

A:”Mmmhmm! This is getting good!”

B:”Finally, we can see things on the same level, let me put it another way. Say, with all these things, you fell sick…”

A:”Your point???”

B:”I am sure you will say with ‘all” your money, you’d find a cure. But, ok I’ll give that to you. So, in that case; let’s make it more complicated. Your kids have grown up. Your ‘modelesque’ honey is even more distinguished in her later years..”

A:”ok?”

B:”Is your ‘honey’ younger, same age or older?

A:”Younger of course! What do you think?,

B:”Given. Let’s say you have enjoyed all you worked for…”

A:”Hurry this up, I have a client…”

B:”Won’t take but a minute…”

A:”So???” Says A anxiously pacing. “Your point is????”

B:”That is my point!”

A:”You have frankly lost me.”

B:”Just what I set out to do. See if everything is as you hope it to be in life, what next?…”

A:”So that is the point of all this ‘None Sense??? I’m out…”

B:”You are mekung my point….”

A:”Don’t tell me this is one of your Christian, ‘goody two shoes’ drones. You know what? I am just as Christian as you. Give tithes and all…”

B:If this was a game of b’ball you dribbled right to my net. Now slam dunk…”

A:”I am waiting for your God forsaken slam dunk….Then for goodness sake, whaaaaat?”

B:”You don’t understand how you just played into my basket. You have made the point, you have all you ever dreamt of. Then what??? You die? You get regenerated? You come again? You are dead and gone??? See that is the point I was trying to make. We have choices, we have Lives, we live them as we wish, or as we are driven. We may complain, but when all is said and done; Hopefully things are right as we hoped and/or dreamed. Dude! Be patient, I see you trembling with anger. So, when all is done, my belief is that we go somewhere else and pur being there is based on actions we took when we are here.”

A:”Ok???”

B:”My point is if you see it as a temporary stopping point, there is so much to learn, so much to do. I am aware that you read the bible. What does it say???”

A:”I really only read it in church!”

B:”My point exactly! I used to be that way until…”

A:”You lost your job, house, career…”

B:”Thanks for reminding me! But the main thing is that in the interim, I was able to read and focus on, what is ‘truly’ said about where we have the choice of being after we die. If you have listened, there are two choices:

1. After this, if you follow the 10 commandments, which can be summarized in the quote ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself’, if and when we believe it all comes from the same place. Then we honor He from whom it comes.

2. Thus the verse I started with dude! Our souls are continually in our hands, we just have not grasped what that means. It all comes down to decisions. I’m done dude! I have an interview for a job. Think on it and find the time to pray about it. I am out!”

So, let’s get this out of the way ‘rickety-split’.

Seek the Lord while he may be found;

call on him while he is near. This says so much. In the days of plenty, do not shirk where it is from. Our good comes from The Lord. But, even besides this, we may be seeking a ‘true’ meaning to Life. God is The reason. We might have hit a ‘troubled spot’. Hang In there and wait on The Lord. Even before you hit that spot, He saw it coming. At times it is for a much needed lesson, at others it is to test our faith, our resolve. Where do we turn to when things are dire?

And we are told: “Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them.” This is to be done in the here and now!

And in letting go, they release all to our God, for he will freely pardon and forgive iniquity, for we serve a God who is Love.

And our God says: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways”

declares the Lord.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways,

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

As the rain and the snow

come down from heaven,

and do not return to it

without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

You will go out in joy

and be led forth in peace;

the mountains and hills

will burst into song before you,

and all the trees of the field

will clap their hands.”

Isaiah 55:6-12

Now, imagine what it will be like in His presence. Even now, it is hard to imagine “The mountains and hills

will burst into song before us,

and all the trees of the field

will clap their hands.” In His presence all things are possible.

I will touch on a previously mentioned topic. Why? I guess we will see just why. I actually felt that possibly Satan was so ‘powerful’ that he was ‘feared’ in Heaven. The absolute truth is that God created Him. Just as He did us. Angelic beings have a different blessing as an existence. In that plane, things are permanent, but more so, they’re under Gods hands. All I thought was answered in a minute by the following verses: “Then I saw an angel coming down from Heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;  and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.” Revelations 20:1-3

30.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. I was going to leave this speak on its own, but I felt led to point out “sin that so easily entangles”. I am sure we can look back and figure out what so easily entangled us! I should let this sit in And on your Spirits without adding more.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us (so many have marked the path that should be taken), by not only purple in our past, in The Word; I am convinced that we see just where to step be Christians of this very day and age. So we in the Spirit should be fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of Faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2

31.

Things You Must Overcome:

‘I discipline my body… Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.’ 1 Corinthians 9:27 NLT

The second issue you’ll have to address is your emotions. While they can be a gauge of how you feel and a clue to what needs to be changed in your life, never let emotion alone dictate your decisions.

Ask anyone who has to perform at the top of their game, and you’ll find that much of their time is spent overriding their emotions. However, listening to your emotions to get to the core of what’s bothering you can be a very revealing indicator of your condition.

Consider these two statements:

(1) I don’t feel like working today. Why not? Did you stay up too late last night? Perhaps you need to change your schedule. Are you eating well? Maybe you need to adjust your diet. Not motivated? Talk to God, read His Word, spend time with an encouraging friend, etc. Don’t just sit there, do something!

(2) I’m a little depressed. Are you getting enough relaxation? Have you taken a break lately? Our moods generally swing up after exercise, so start moving and get into shape. You can’t afford to live life based on your emotions. They’ll delay you, stop you, and create detours on your journey to success.

You say, ‘I’m waiting for inspiration!’ As novelist Jack London said, ‘You can’t wait for inspiration, you have to go after it with a club.’ Follow Paul’s example: ‘So I run with purpose in every step… I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.’ (1 Corinthians 9:26–27 NLT)
