“What is on your mind?” Equals “What is in your spirit?”
“Hungry?” Your body desires nutrients, a sweet, candy… What ‘turns’ you on? Hmmm! You were going in one direction, and you turned? Physically or Spiritually? We can dwell on this for a while; but! You are in there! YOU! Despite all that we think, you are in there! Check this out: If a formally ‘well’ person in in a debilitating accident. They are still who they were. Yes, if they let it, depression may take over and things seem ‘dreary!’ But! They weren’t prior! Your Spirit is still the same, who you are HAS NOT changed, your view/perception of life might be different, much different, but you are you-experiences, memory and all.
Who is that YOU? Where is that YOU? In your body!
“What!?” I am sure you are thinking “What is the point of mine (the writer)?”
Let us see, if you live through life without any major injuries, illness or a sudden end. Where do you go? I have had this conversation with many…A re-birth some state. Let me dash those hopes/wishes right quick. IF there were rebirth, why does everyone not strive to build savings for their next go round? Memory, right? So write it, store it in a safety deposit box… Oh! Wait! No way to remember that… I guess we can see, and this is from nowhere but the most accurate His-story book that ever existed!
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.
” A new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.”
Turn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love. For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?
Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died. 1 Corinthians 11:27-30
They prepare the table, they spread the rugs, they eat, they drink. Arise, O princes; oil the shield! Isaiah 21:5
That very night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed. Daniel 5:30
Immediately the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw the hand as it wrote.Daniel 5:5
Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die. Ezekiel 18:4
Our memory is for but a second! Where and when we go, we are new creatures. The same Spirit, But a different existence, Amen. And we can, and will read through The Word AND pray, by His grace, we will be in His presence, Amen
