Chapter 26

Chapter 26

The ‘promised’ land. Do you know what and where that was? Who was it ‘promised’ to? We have shared on this topic. Moses! Yes, Moses.

Let us refocus and see again what the ‘nature’ of Moses was. He was born, should have been killed, God knew him before he was born, saved him from a sure death. We are ‘spared’ his raising. But, he had a temper. Sure thing! When the Egyptian punished the two Isrealites for their disagreement, Moses killed him in anger (follow?) He realized that he would surely be put to death (for his temper and acts) and ran away.

Now we so not want to focus on this, but rather his personality. Despite his ‘ebullient’ personality; he still was close to God. There are many evangelists, prophets, people of God in our day. I do not believe any can say they have the relationship with God that Moses did.

Now, back to our discussion. The main reason Moses did not set foot in the promised land while he was alive was he was himself and at the time did not obey the will of God.

In Exodus, God commands Moses to strike a rock, and promises to make water flow in the desert for the people.

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel. (Exodus 17:6 ESV)

Later on, God tells Moses to speak to a rock, promising to make water flow in the desert again. However, Moses strikes the rock again instead of speaking to it. Because of just this one thing, God tells Moses that he will no longer be permitted bring the people into the Promised Land.

“Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle.”  And Moses took the staff from before the Lord, as he commanded him.  Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?”  And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”

Numbers 20:8-12

Why was the punishment so harsh for what seems like a small infraction? Was there something greater or more symbolic going on here?

Again, this was a man who personally fellowshipped with the person of God. I mean, he saw God pass him by (remember this?) We should note that God knows all. Maybe God wants you to realize that all these timelines were man-made by people with fixed thoughts and ideas, by people with different circumstances, by people who never even saw you and people who led different lives. Maybe God just wants you to understand that all these deadlines don’t really represent you because they weren’t made for you.

Maybe God just wants you to understand that your life will never be perfect and will never go as planned and you just have to try to love it and love him regardless.

Maybe he’s teaching you how to wait because he wants you to know that you can’t always control your life no matter how hard you try because that’s his job, not yours.

When He selected Moses, it was clear that he was chosen. Let us ‘mosey’ on and see time lines in believers lives to learn a thing or two.

Joseph waited 13 years, Abraham waited 25 years, Moses waited 40 years. More important Jesus waited 30 years! If God is making you wait you are in good company! (I would venture to say, you are in Excellent company.)

Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.

Psalm 25:5

The eyes of all look to You, And You give them their food in due time. You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Psalm 145:15-16

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.

James 5:7-8

Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s praise will come to him from God.

1 Corinthians 4:5

looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

Titus 2:13

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Hebrews 9:28

In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.

Psalm 5:3

And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

Romans 8:23

Lots to digest. Go over it again and let your Spirit grow in The Word

To be blessed all our ways! Another share is: O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

Psalm 51:15

Our lips shall be opened, let us plus forth His praise! Hallelujah!!! Cam you believe this? The Lord open our lips. This hints at healing the mute!

To touch on some ‘hefty’ sharings, let us move on. It is awesome to study the bible And grasp exactly what it means. We were blessed with spirits. As we have shared, there are even on the Earth; beings of the other realm who are permanent. To explain this more. God placed the planets in their specific orbit, as far as we have been, no two planets have ever collided. We know that it was wisdom that formed the Universe into its order.

These other beings (Angels) were created to exist for always. The have no age, no time. They have a function, they were created to perform a specific duty. In the verse below, though we have mentioned it, we have not focused on it. We stated that the tree of Life was in the garden of Eden. Why didn’t Adam or Eve eat of it?

We have stated that they were ‘learning’ just as we do with each passing day/experience. Prior to Lucifer looking upon The Throne, there was no wrongdoing. All learned and did what they were created for. We have stated that the archangel was placed in authority under God. It affected And effected Lucifer to see himself as a possible ruler. I will point out that The Ultimate I’d God.

God begot Himself into three separate parts. The Spirit (God) communes, guides, leads And directs us. Jesus, He begot, and is/was a key part of Him. Being begotten Jesus new Who had ‘made’ Him. And He in human ‘sense’ was called the ‘Son’ of God. But with all the characteristics.

When God was with the Isrealites, A portion of God led, guided and protected. The people of Israel left Egypt. Is it not wonderful that for 40 years, there clothes and garments were blessed to be!

Deuteronomy 8:4; Deuteronomy 29:5

To focus on our topic and be specific:

And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

Genesis 1:22

Prior we did not know good from evil. Created to learn what to do and not to do. If Adam tripped on a root, he learned what not to do. Being that these would not read well, it was left to us to figure out. I feel that the Angels who have been before the Univerese was created have learned what to do and not to do.

The part that caused imbalance in Heaven was Lucifer felt as he did. No ‘knowledge’ of good and bad was. It was felt that a new existence in an alternate level would be possible. Chances were given, but he remained affixed to the ideas and was cast out of Heaven with a third of the Angels he had taken over to his ‘thoughts’.

Quite a bit to swallow. Lets take a break and pray for understanding.
