Watch out! Lots of learning to come!🚫 Caution!!! This might be too hot to handle!!!

The LORD by wisdom hath founded the Earth (knowing this it is breathtakingly awesome to see the sheer beauty of a soft rain shower; a rainbow on bright days; a mountain you scale to look back and wonder how you made it up, but give Him praise that you did; a trip that you were fill of questions about, and each answer falling where you believed it’d fall despite conditions…we could go on folks, but let us continue with The Word.)

By understanding hath He established the Heavens. By His knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. (Amazing weather that keeps the world a blessing. How many of us have experienced see? Show of hands. Isn’t it at first annoying to have those drops on your shoes, car, clothes??? Next time tale a good feel (you thought I would say “look” at the basic essential that it is, we are not plants, thus it is hard to understand how essential. Rain can be a downer, the plants need water; dew gives it. Another reason to give praise!)

Sister\Brother, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid (‘Sweet Sleep’ is yours- promised Mmmhmmm!): yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet (told ya). Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh (for we are held close in Love.) For the LORD shall be thy confidence (we have a confidence that is from the Creator of the Universe), and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due (we have an awesome Life in Him), when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

THEME: LIFTING SPIRITUAL LOADS

Memorise:

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Mark 1:23-27

Besides physical and material burdens, the devil also weighs people’s lives down with marital burdens. He does this in order to prevent them from actualising God’s plan and purpose for their lives. A person who is weighed down by a heavy load cannot think of moving forward. Mark 5:25-34 tells us the story of the woman with the issue of blood. According to Mosaic Law, the fact that her blood kept flowing continuously implied that she was permanently considered to be unclean. She was therefore ostracized from society. In that state, no man dared come near to propose to her. Even if a man was brave enough to marry her, she had very slim chances of bearing children. Hannah also faced a marital burden as she battled with barrenness, which her mate used in taunting her. She never planned to be barren but barrenness attached itself to her until the Burden-Bearer stepped in. Are you laden with a marital burden? Is there no peace in your home? Is the enemy turning your spouse against you because of the delay in conceiving? Have you been weeping quietly because of the marital burdens you are forced to bear? This season, the Burden-Bearer will intervene in your situation and turn things around for good!

Moreover, some people are battling with spiritual burdens. Today’s Bible reading tells us of a man in the synagogue with an unclean spirit. Although this man was regularly attending church, a demon was still living inside him. He was like a time-bomb waiting to explode. He did not like what he was carrying, but he could not do anything about it until he met Jesus. Compared to the mad man of Gadara, his case was even tolerable (Mark 5:1:20). He would come to church, sit in the crowd, and yet nobody knew what he was going through. Many years ago, while visiting my mother, some people brought a man who looked almost normal to me. To demonstrate what was wrong with him to me, he simply scratched his head and brought out a cockroach. He dipped his hand into his hair again and another insect came out. He put his finger inside his ear and I could hear the sound of a motorcycle. After a short exhortation, I simply asked him to give his life to Jesus, and he did. I then called on the Burden-Bearer to intervene. When he returned two weeks later, everything had changed. Have you been secretly battling with some spiritual burdens? The Lord will deliver you today! Whatever is responsible for that strange burden in your life, I command it to return to where it came from. You are free from today!

Prayer Point:

Every strange burden in my life and family, the word of the Lord is against you; lose your grip now and return to your source in Jesus’ Name!

“I will lead the blind on roads they have never known; I will guide them on paths they have never traveled. Their road is dark and rough, but I will give light to keep them from stumbling.”(CEV)

Psalms 119:105 tells us,

“By His words we can see where we’re going; they throw a beam of light on our dark path.”

Jeremiah 33:3 gives us direction on how to receive spiritual clarity. Listen,

“Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.

“The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to himwho is weary.”

4.

Good Morning all, we are blessed to be up. Check this out; some are hurting because their loved ones have passed-pray for them, offer comfort and support. Get them to understand that this life here is a microcosm of eternity. If and when we commit all to The Lord we are ‘made’ for eternity. As we have stated prior a new beginning is here, we can call it a new day and not even realize that it is a blessing. You woke up! You are out and about, did you thank God yet? Did you have time (just a few seconds to thank The very reason you are here?) What have you been blessed with? What do you still ‘desire’? Know this- Take delight in the Lord,

and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

Again, this is just to share, we touched on a few things and we will touch on more. I am aware that time is ‘precious’; so let us move on.

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Philippians 3:2-3

Concision:

(alternatively brevity, laconicism, terseness, or conciseness) is the art and practice of minimizing words used to convey an idea. It aims to make communication more effective by eliminating redundancy without omitting important information.)

cir·cum·ci·sion

ˈsərkəmˌsiZHən

noun

1. The action or practice of circumcising a young boy or man.

2. The action or practice of circumcising a girl or young woman; female circumcision

It is awesome to be born anew in Christ, an excellent definition: A new way of being; much like in the past it is ascribed to both men and women. We have a new life in Christ-old things are passed away (Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!  2 Corinthians 5:17)

Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.

We will be quoting from 2 Corinthians 5

So we make it our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. vv 9,10

Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to others conscience. We are not trying to commend ourselves to other believers, but are giving ourselves an opportunity to take pride in ourselves, so that we can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for other believers.

2 Corinthians 5:11-12

Folks, we are having “Chech” as some would call ‘Church’, breaking down the Word of God.

Are we in need or ‘want’ of any thing? Take it to The Lord in prayer.

What a friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Oh, what peace we often forfeit,

Oh, what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged—

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful,

Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness;

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,

Cumbered with a load of carsinceritycious Savior, still our refuge—

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?

Take it to the Lord in prayer!

In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,

Thou wilt find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised

Thou wilt all our burdens bear;

May we ever, Lord, be bringing

All to Thee in earnest prayer.

Soon in glory bright, unclouded,

There will be no need for prayer—

Rapture, praise, and endless worship

Will be our sweet portion there.

“How much do you want to make?”

“Is it a good dral?”

“Well…uh…I…ahhh. Look, you make money, so why the worry?”

“So it’s not totally legal?”

“Boy! Who said anything about being legal. Just fast and a sure thing in your pocket!”

“Dude! I’ll pass on this one. In face I don’t think I’ll deal with you again. I have morals.”

“Whatever! You are the one missing out and you’ll be sorry…”

This imaginary meeting is between two blokes, one a Christian practising to make his decisionscworthwhile. Might be that he list a bit of moolah. But, who’s counting. He has his pride and correctness. The awesome thing is if he was a real fella he would be rewarded.

Look at what and wht I shared that ‘little’ drama.

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

Psalm 18:20

‘Nuff said. Be blessed.

6.

There were two Samaritans that made it into the scripture. Question time! Who were they and why important? What did the original good Samaritan do? What was the difference between the Jewish people, the Samaritans and the gentiles?

As we discussed the questions are not ‘hat’s but challenging. This time I will recount the testimony of the good Samaritan. He was on his way and saw a victim, many passed him by, but the good Samaritan stopped helped him and took him to the equivalent of a total care in and said he would pay as much as was needed. This was a parable and should help you understand the relationship between the Jewish people and the Samaritans.

We have more to answer! More so,  knowing this, Jesus born of the family of king David, and thus considered a Jew by many (wrongly so); sent His disciples into the city. He knows all and asked a woman of Samaria for a drink of water, we can see what transpired in John 4:7-42.

The narrative falls into three major segments: First, there is the explanation as to why the Lord happened to be passing through Samaritan territory (vv. 1-4). Second, there is the actual exchange between Jesus and this strange woman (vv. 5-26). Finally, there is the effect that ultimately was produced as a result of this incident (vv. 27-42). Let us consider each of the segments in some detail.

Let us then be aware that we were the Samaritans or the unbelievers destined for eternal separation from The Lord. The message He shared opened the doors for us, and His death on the cross sealed the goodness and Love of the Lord.

So in essence, one was a parable and having understood what it was based on, we see just why I said the Word has two Samaritan’s. The parable and the actual. So let us find out where we are. Be blessed.

7.

And we pray:

Lord Heavenly Father, might King Jesus, Holy Spirit within me, Hallelujah! Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to Thy fear. Turn away my reproach which I fear: for Thy judgments are good. Behold, I have longed after Thy precepts: quicken me in Thy righteousness. Let Thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even Thy salvation, according to Thy word. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in Thy word. And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in Thy judgments. So shall I keep Thy law continually for ever and ever. And I will walk at liberty: for I seek Thy precepts. I will speak of Thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. And I will delight myself in Thy commandments, which I have loved. My hands also will I lift up unto Thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in and on Thy statutes. Remember Thy word unto Thy servant, upon which Thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for Thy word hath quickened me. The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from Thy law. I remembered Thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself. Amen.

Psalm 119:37-52

Good Day! Hope you all slept well yesterday. Tried some of the ‘challenges’ set forth? Thought I’d share what has been shared with me. We have the same mind that so long ago, The Son of God had-The mind of Christ. Get set for some new (hopefully it is an old habit encouragement), folks keep trucking.

What I usually say at the end: Be blessed!

Good Thinking (I hope this is both a compliment and pathway.)

‘We have the mind of Christ.’ 1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV

In his book, Thinking for a Change, Dr. John Maxwell gives us eleven different types of thinking; to each we’ve added a Scripture:

(1) Big picture thinking. The ability to think beyond yourself is required in order to process ideas from a ‘faith’ perspective (Ephesians 3:20).

(2) Focused thinking. The ability to think with clarity on issues by removing distractions and mental clutter (Philippians 3:13–14).

(3) Creative thinking. The ability to break out of the box and explore ideas and options in order to experience a breakthrough (Isaiah 54:2–3).

(4) Realistic thinking. The ability to build a solid foundation on facts, to think with certainty (Luke 14:28).

(5) Strategic thinking. The ability to implement plans that give direction for today, and increase your potential for tomorrow (Proverbs 19:21).

(6) Possibility thinking. The ability to unleash your enthusiasm and hope, to find solutions for even seemingly impossible situations (Matthew 19:26).

(7) Reflective thinking. The ability to revisit the past in order to think with understanding (Psalm 1:1–3).

(8) Questioning popular thinking. The ability to reject common thinking and accomplish uncommon results (Isaiah 55:8–9).

(9) Shared thinking. The ability to include others who can help you think ‘over your head’ and achieve greater results (Psalm 133:1–3).

(10) Unselfish thinking. The ability to consider others and their journey, to think with collaboration (Romans 12:10).

(11) Bottom-line thinking. The ability to focus on results, in order to reap the full potential of your thinking (Matthew 25:14–30).

Let’s add: (12) Spiritual thinking. ‘We have the mind of Christ.’ One God-given thought can change your life!

Do you know how special you are to God? Do you realize that He loves you more than anything else? I think people have a hard time really understanding God’s love for them. I noticed in the Word of God that He went to great lengths to explain His love, but we fail to see it.

He says we are the apple of His eye (Deuteronomy 32: 9-10); He explains that if we obey His Word, then we–including our children–are promised long life (Deuteronomy 12:28); He is our Good Shepherd who knows us (John 10:14); He says He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5); He shares that it is His good pleasure to give us the kingdom because He calls us friends (Luke 12:32); He promises that He will give us everlasting life if we believe in Him (John 3:16); and He will answer our prayers. The list is endless concerning the things that God has done for us and will continue to do for us.

I have a photo album that says Grandma’s Brag Book. In it are pictures of my granddaughter when she was little. Whenever I have shown it to family or friends, I have said, “Look how adorable she posed!” or “Isn’t that a cute face?” That is how God’s Word is — full of Him bragging on us.

We love Him because He first loved us and gave His Only Son to die for our sins (1 John 4:10). Think about it. Jesus was blameless and sinless, yet He allowed man to crucify Him so that He might take our place. He laid down His life for us so that we would inherit eternal life. It doesn’t get any better than that! Truly, that is ultimate love. It takes a sacrificial love to die in the place of another.

God is love Himself. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, yet He was not satisfied because He desired fellowship. He gave us this opportunity to receive Him into our hearts or to choose the world instead.

We can’t even love Him until we find out about what He did for us at the cross, and even then we often find that we take Him for granted. If you love someone, you talk to that person and want to spend time with that person. Your desire will be to develop a relationship, so you will need to cultivate it. God is the Lover of our souls. We should draw near to Him and begin that personal relationship with Him.

For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won’t walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart. The GOD who has compassion on you says so. — Isaiah 54:10, The Message

When we come into the throne room to thank Him, and when we come into worship to praise His name, these things please our heavenly Father so much. Let’s do it more often because He loves us and wants our love in return.

Calling musicians! This song you outta know well. We will write lyrics to as of yet unsung and unwritten as of yet songs and as I challenged put them all to awesome use in giving praise to God from Whom all our blessings flow.

We bring our sacrifice of thnksgiving, we bring our sacrifice of praise.

We bring the sacrifice of praise

Into the house of the Lord.

We bring the sacrifice of praise

Into the house of the Lord.

And we offer up to You

The sacrifices of thanksgiving;

And we offer up to You

The sacrifices of joy.

Are You Resisting A Rest?

‘Come away… and rest a while.’ Mark 6:31 NRS

Following Jesus should energise you, not leave you feeling burned out. Jesus preached to farmers who used oxen to plough their fields. They also lived by religious rules that didn’t permit you to relax and experience God’s love and grace. So Jesus told them: ‘Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you… and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’ (Matthew 11:28–30 NLT)

Jesus had more to do than any of us, yet He never seemed to do it in a way that severed the life-giving connection with His Father, or interfered with His ability to show love when it was called for. He regularly withdrew from the rat race in order to pray (which is a lesson. When have you held up on the hustle and bustle of everyday life to take the time to spend with the Lord? We spoke about practise making perfect. Are you practising to let go and let God?)

Even when His disciples returned, flushed with success from a busy time of ministry, He told them, ‘Come away… and rest a while,’ because as Mark records, ‘Many people were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.’ (Mark 6:31 NRS) Constant hurry is the mark of an un-prioritised life—a sure sign that second and third things have become first things. This is a lesson for all; list the priorities in your life. Go ahead! I think and do it; find the time in your busy schedule to take 10 minutes to write your schedule; andI  bet you may “right” your schedule. It really doesn’t matter what others are doing. What really matters is what you are doing. Want to be well rested AND in His will? You know what needs done.

I will not take it upon myself to schedule your day. But, I can suggest one thing-A super amazing way to start the day is with prayer. Doesn’t have to be long or complicated, A thank you Lord, go before me today, be exalted in my going out and coming ins. Where a mis-stepped, I ask for your forgiveness. Where I have things (name them) held against (name them), show me Your Love and by Your grace make it right, in Jesus’ name, an Amen decrees it in Heaven and here on Earth.

If and when you have kids, we are God’s children. He Love’s us more than words could ever state. We have children, we Love them. A quick in the shower prayer to add: Lord thank You for my rising, as this water hits me, may my family feel Your Love. I standvinvthe gap for them and commit their days into Your Loving hands. Father, I thank you for sending Your guardian Angels to watch, over and be with us with each and every step. Lord I thank You for when we see each other again, we will have much need to thank and praise You, in Jesus’ name, Amen

If you have a spouse hopefully they rose when you did and where able to start the day right (with prayer and a peck-yeah I won’t say kiss with morning breath. Waga! We used to call it in Nigeria) If they are not believers, is your example good enough. Will they develop a Love for God watching you. Let me state it this way, when we get to Heaven by and through God’s grace, we will Love (big “L” on purpose.) ever one we see. But do you not want to see the Love of Your Life for eternity?

We will talk on this at a later date, and I will share it with married or soon to be married couples. In ‘sharing’ we have youth, so hold fast, we will touch on that.

On our topic above, we spoke of the disciples and for Love of Christ, the lack of rest or food, for all the throngs of people. Not only did God command us to rest every seventh day, He told Jewish farmers to let their fields rest every seventh year so they’d produce better harvests. The problem is we want microwave maturity… to exchange wisdom for information and depth for breadth—but it doesn’t work that way. Depth comes slowly. Following Jesus can’t be done at a sprint; you can’t go faster than the One who’s leading.

As we shared short to start and you will see that it will become more in-depth as you ‘mature’. Be blessed

So many times we are discouraged; were you steered clear and still went the wrong way. To define it: “discouragement, regret, a desire/want for better, did God know I was going to do this?” Discouragement comes a mile a minute; we stand ‘spanked’ by the knowledge of what we did. What and how do we do what we are supposed to do next?

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.

– Deuteronomy 31:8

We are aware of the first sin. Man and woman had been told what not to do. Easy enough, no? Let us take a quick look at that. The man and woman did as they were supposed to until the most cunning of animals put doubt in her mind. Did or could animals speak in those days?.or just communicate? Adam was created first. He had the ‘time’ to name all the animals and species on the earth. Every tree, plant and animal. Time did not exist yet. How did Adam communicate with animals, at first though God Himself would come an fellowship with him, He and the Heaveny host realized that he would need a partner. So Adam was sedated (😙) (Much like in surgery) a rib was taken out of him and woman created to be his partner in all they did. (We have And will discuss the ins and outs of this.)

How then was there communication? Man had been in the garden, named things fish, birds of the air, animals etc I would imagine that it took a great while. We in this day and age communicate with our pets, horses, even elephants and they understand just what we want from them. So, it is not too hard to imagine Adam communicating with species.

Now, we are back to where we were. How did the serpent communicate with Eve? We can imagine from our experience. Something does not have to speak, for example when men go to a place of ill-repute the women don’t speak; all the do is dance. Imaginations and desire run amok and wild.

So we imagine the serpent might have slithered up the forbidden tree and itself allowed the Eve to see it bite the fruit and start to think “If that serpent can eat of the tree, why can’t I. God didn’t say the fruit was deadly, just that we would have even more knowledge.” A lot of things come to mind, thought would have assailed her. All of a sudden we see exactly where she was. The individuals or individual who wrote this story essentially touched on these things. Havingn done this, she gave the fruit to Adam. We can imagine the conversation. “Love, this is just what God said we should not eat, I ate it and have not died, but my eyes have been opened, now I know things I did not know before. I guess that’s why we were asked not to eat of that tree.” This would have been the beginning of a long conversation.

I will point out that very possibly the serpent who was described as the most cunning of all the animals must have known the difference between good and evil. It was not told to stay away from the fruit of the tree, why would it then be called the most ‘cunning’ of all the animals? Nowadays we have snakes and the crawl about, we do not consider them to be ‘cunning’. To be specific, I had a python once, it would want to keep warm and wrap itself around me. I can tell many stories about this, but I wish to stay on our current line of thought.

So many times, I have thought long and hard about this. Yes, the serpent was the most cunning; why? If we cast our minds to think of it, it may have fed on the fruit of that tree. It was not ‘cunning’ just knowledge filled at what it should and should not do.

So many times we think that Satan possessed the serpent. Many things could have happened as we have laid out. We think and act on our thoughts. The serpent must have simply eaten. Coming to think of it, it did not communicate (much like the dancers we pointed out) but simply eatenbof the tree and the woman would have seen but and been tempted to do the same.

Now, I hope this starts to make sense. Just as we started off, the thoughts of our minds, our actions should and must be in line with The Word of God. We are simply told what to do and what ‘not’ to do. When Eve ate of the apple and convinced Adam to do the same, God had simply said “Of every tree you may eat but of the tree of eggood and evil, you may not eat.” Pretty simple, No? Really???

Matthew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Ant these are just a few from Matthew. Let us go on:

John 21:15-17 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jona, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, “Feed my lambs.” (16) He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jona, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, “Feed my sheep”. (17) He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jona, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, “Feed my sheep.”

John 21:19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

John 21:22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Acts 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

We will continue though I hope my point is made. Just as Eve was given a commandant and stepped wrong, the Israelites-the first nation of Godcstepped wrong many a time. When Moses went up into the hills to be given the 10 commandments on stone, the Israelites made their own none living very artificial gods of silver and gold. What are our gods? Money, influence, property? Realize that all is temporary. We are here but foe a micro-second in eternity. Even Elisha who met with Jesus on the mount with the three disciples (you can go back and scroll through this). Was here but for a fraction of time in the history of the world. In the past we had people (living beings) who lived for 600-900 years. Again our lives are but a mere fraction of these. Even now we admire centenarians (it is amazing), but it was the normal in those days. Abraham had a son and still climbed mountains in his 90’s; what did he do, eat? Well for one it was not our carbonated soda. But we have to look at life, we now are living longer than pur ancestors, there are quite a few things we do: run, yoga, gym, walk, eat healthy etc. But again in the olden days, people lived a lot longer. Think on this.

Let us return to our new testament do’s and don’t’s.

Romans 6:11-13 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. (12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. (13) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Romans 11:17-18 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; (18) Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Romans 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

1 Corinthians 4:16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

1 Corinthians 5:4-5 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, (5) To deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincere Love.

I do not have to ‘go it alone’, struggles are a past tense if and when I am willing to Live in the here and now. “Boy! That was hard, I gave up…” Our words when we do it alone. One gem lies in the rubble! Your ability to ‘do it’ does not lie with you! I know something I have ‘known’ for quite a while: “I can do all this through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

I do not really know what the issues are. Do you see a way out??? Commit it onto The Lord who is watching and waiting for you to ask, to seek His face. He stands at the door and knocks, waiting for you to open the door and let him in.

We read “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Proverbs 17:222

What do we have that ‘crushes’ the Spirit? Bad news, challenges, Loss (of any kind; a loved one/a family member-who should one and the same), a job (was it really in the perfect will of God?). I am moved to say there are many in the ‘permissive’ will of God. We do, there is nothing intrinsicallycally wrong or bending the rules. But, lessons need to be taught. There are so many things that meet this definition.

We have been given a set of rules/instructions. Let’s take a brief look. Waking up and not praying; excuse- I woke up too late, I have too much to do. Really? The day is The Lords! Remember the song “This is the day that the Lord has made?”

Let us take a quick look, learn and feel it out (uhh! Musicians!!! I will just stop asking. Mmmhmmm!)

This Is The Day

Just clap your hands like this

Just clap your hands like this

Yeah, let’s wake up the church with this old school jam

Shout to the Lord in here

You know that He’s good and His mercy endureth forever

And the people of God said, they said what

And the people of God said, yeah

And the people of God said, yeah

And the people of God said, yeah

And the people of God said, yeah

Now we serve notice to depression, confusion

All manner of evil and every sickness

You came in to bind but you cannot stay

’cause the people of God we ain’t havin’ it

It’s a good day, even though I cried last Tuesday

And I was out of cash by Friday

No matter what comes next, I’m gonna stand up

And give him the praise ’cause this is the day

This is the day, this is the day

That the Lord has made, that the Lord has made

I will rejoice, I will rejoice

And be glad in it, glad in it

This is the day that the Lord has made

I will rejoice and be glad in it

This is the day, this is the day

This is the day that the Lord has made

I will rejoice and be glad in it

This is the day, this is the day

That the Lord has made

That the Lord has made

That the Lord has made

That the Lord has made

As I look back over all the years that I made it through

I can’t imagine where I’d be now if it wasn’t for you

Why your favor rests upon me I could never explain

Why your favor rests upon me I could never explain

Why your favor rests upon me I could never explain

But I’m so glad that I can say, I will rejoice

And the people of God said, yeah

And the people of God said, yeah

And the people of God said, yeah

And the people of God said, yeah

There is a lot to learn Mr Hammond wrote this. What I thought was a more ‘simple’ version, but in going over this there were so many stories and learning points.

Testimony time. Psalm holds it all. The atoeo of Joseph. A testimony really. Talk is cheap and The Word is Gold:

He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron. Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

Psalm 105:17-24

king David was well read. So should you be. Have an awesome day.

Value Your Friends

‘It will be good for you, my daughter, to go with his girls… in someone else’s field you might be harmed.’ Ruth 2:22 NIV

Kristin Armstrong writes: ‘If you have godly girlfriends, love and nurture those relationships as though your life depends on them—because it does. Everything is better when you “go with His girls”… Life is safer, more authentic, longer lasting, and just plain more fun. God created women to rely on other women. I’m blessed by girlfriends who lift me when I’m low, level me when I’m high, and show me the face of God on a daily basis through compassion, humour, strength, and unconditional love. May you cultivate and enjoy the same.’ And not only do women need friends, men do too.

One of the first things God said in the Bible was, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone.’ (Genesis 2:18 KJV) Solomon writes, ‘A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.’ (Proverbs 17:17 NKJV) Poet William Carlos Williams wrote: ‘When trouble comes your soul to try, you love the friend who just “stands by”. Perhaps there’s nothing he can do—the thing is strictly up to you. For there are troubles all your own, and paths the soul must tread alone. Times love cannot smooth the road, nor friendship lift the heavy load. But just to know you have a friend who will “stand by” until the end, whose sympathy through all endures, whose warm handclasp is always yours—it helps someway to pull you through, although there’s nothing he can do. And so with fervent heart you cry, God bless the friend who just “stands by”.’

MY WIFE, WHO HURT YOU IN YOUR PAST?

He had a deadline to beat. So he came home late when his family was asleep. He went into the kitchen, warmed up his dinner that the wife had cooked. Matoke with beef stew. In a few minutes he was done and went to sleep, exhausted.

In the morning, him and his wife got up. After the shower, wearing robes, it was time to prepare for the day.

“You think I am your house help? What is this? How many times must I tell you to never leave utensils unwashed? I wake up to an unwashed plate in the kitchen sink. Can’t you even wash after yourself? Must I always clean up after you? Are you a baby? And you used my favourite plate that I keep for visitors, can’t you even use the many other plates I bought? Agrrrr you’ve ruined my morning. I am so sick of being married to a man who can’t even follow simple instructions” his wife shouted at him.

“What is this all about?” He asked looking at her surprised.

“What is this all about?” She ridiculed him. “Stop acting like you don’t know. This is about the mess you left in the kitchen last night”

“Is this really about the dishes? Are you seriously talking to your husband like this because of a plate?” He asked shocked.

Their six year old child walked in on them in the kitchen.

His wife looked at the child then sneered at him and said, “We’re getting late. The kids are getting late for school”

He gently grabbed her hand to lead her to the bedroom.

“My love, we need to talk” he told her.

“We don’t have time! You have a deadline, I have an early morning meeting at work. The kids need to get to work. Stop rushing me” she reluctantly said.

“Kids, prepare for school. Mommy and I will have a chat, join you, have breakfast then we’ll leave” he told their three children.

“But dad we’ll get late for school” said their first born.

“You’ve never been late. But today, there will be no harm getting to school slightly late. Don’t worry, I will personally talk to your teachers” he said.

“Woop woop! You are the coolest dad” cheered their naughty second born jumping on to the sofa turning on the TV.

The couple walked inside their bedroom. Closed the door.

He got her to sit on their bed and he knelt next to her, placing his hand on her lap.

“We’re getting late” she said with a cold tone.

He rubbed her waist and said, “Shh, it doesn’t matter, this is important. I don’t want us to get caught up living life that we fail to address issues”

“So there is an issue?” She asked.

“Yes, my dirty plate on the sink” he said.

“Don’t worry, I will wash it” she said trying to get up out of the bed.

He pressed her down to make her remain seated.

He looked deep into her eyes as if searching for her soul. She felt naked before him.

“My wife, who hurt you in your past?” He asked.

“What do you mean?” She questioned.

“For the years I have married you, I notice you are easily irritable, you have this temper, this bitterness, this fear that erupts out of petty things” he spoke.

“Oh, so you’re saying I am petty? You think my reaction over what you did last night is petty? You think I am petty?” She erupted, sneering at him.

“See what I mean?” He said.

Silence.

“I am not saying you are petty, I am saying you are easily angered. I am saying that your response to my dirty plate was cold and harsh, all you could have done is correct me with love, but instead, you attacked me, you crushed me over a dirty plate, you fought me over a thing. Why are you this angry?” He continued.

Silence.

“No one is born angry and irritable. Anger, a hot temper is something we acquire as we live. It is our reaction to the circumstances that push us to fear, defensiveness and confusion. We acquire an angry temperament from our upbringing and the pain we collect along the way. So I want you to look inside you, your past and tell me, when did you start being so angry?”

Silence.

“My love, open up to me. Let me in to the darkest corners of your past. Show me your scars. Who did this to you? Who introduced you to bitterness? When you open up, you release the pain and healing will start; but when you hide, when you pretend, when you act like you are OK, when you wear a fake smile; healing will evade you and you will take it out on your loved ones. You will find yourself shouting at me and the kids, taking out your frustration on us”

Silence.

“Racism, fear, tribalism, fear, anger; all those are taught. All of us are born in the image of God and then the darkness of life creeps in through events and we become fearful and angry. Who did this to you? Who taught you how to be angry? Who made you feel like you have to fight alone, like no one is on your side?”

She began to cry.

She broke down in tears.

He hugged her. She broke down even more.

“I was raped. I was raped by my cousins. I was just a young girl” she opened up.

She let him inside her darkest thoughts. Told him of how she was raped, her abortion when she was seventeen that she did because she couldn’t face her parents, her questions about her father who was largely absent when she needed a father figure, how she was sexually harassed at work by her boss and no one believed her. She opened up about her fake friends, who were there only to use her until the day she chose to ride solo. She opened up about how she gave her body to a man who claimed to love her, only for the man to end up cheating on her and making her feel unworthy and not beautiful enough. She opened up about her struggle with self esteem, the nights she cried to sleep. She opened up about how she made mistakes that ended up costing her time, money and peace of mind, her struggle with porn and alcohol while she tried to project an image of a Godly woman yet she felt God was angry with her. She opened up about the nights she’d wake up naked in bed with a man she didn’t love and how that made her angry with herself. She opened up about the five relationships she got into thinking they would last. The first one she was used, the second one she was physically abused, the third she was rejected because the man’s parents didn’t approve of her tribe, the fourth she was cheated on, the fifth she was dumped the night before her wedding. She opened up about all her baggage”

He listened.

He wiped her tears.

“My love, that is alot for one person to go through. Thank you for opening up to me. It will help me to love you better. When you open up, you release the burden. I now know better about where you are coming from” he told her.

“I have never told a soul all these things” she said clinging on to him.

“If you don’t tell me, who will you tell? Darling, this is what love is about. Taking your past, walking with you today and building with you our tomorrow. Many people think marriage changes things but actually marriage reveals things. In marriage that is when issues become unearthed. People use marriage as a cover up thinking it is a magic wand that will change lives. But when marriage is done in honesty, marriage become a place of healing because where there is love there is healing. With the help of God, my love will silence your fear, my love will redeem back your view of sex, my love will tell you the men you were with before me were wrong. I will show you that you are a Queen deserving of the best of love. Love will heal you. Instead of taking things out on me, let me be love to you. My love, stop fighting alone, stop fighting your inner wars alone. That was then, this is now. You have me. You are married to a man who has your best interest at heart. No more fear, no more anger. OK?” said he.

He wiped her tears.

“My love, that is alot for one person to go through. Thank you for opening up to me. It will help me to love you better. When you open up, you release the burden. I now know better about where you are coming from” he told her.

In fact, of course I should have looked in The Word first! Wow, silly me!

This is the day the Lord has made;

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

Like I have said, lots of songs to be written, uplifting and bible based. Hallelujah! What I think I will do is ‘write’ a song and the challenge will be to the person who first puts it to music. I guess in that case emails need to be traded and I am not sure If we are ready to do that yet. Which is why I suggested a web site. (Any builders?)

When I was abroad, there was a phenomenally gifted person who played so many instruments, it was nothing short of a supernatural blessing.

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

Beware of Pride!

‘Pride goes before destruction.’

Proverbs 16:18

Think about the things we become proud over: the home we live in, the car we drive, the diploma hanging on our wall, the people we mingle with, and the position we hold. When you’ve worked hard to get to where you are, look out for pride! Paul asks, ‘Who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?’

1 Corinthians 4:7

So what should you do?

(1) Examine your belief system about who you are, what you have, and what you can do. Jesus said, ‘Without Me you can do nothing.’ (John 15:5 NKJV) Remind yourself: ‘I’m just the glove; God’s the hand that fills it.’ That’ll help you to keep your perspective right!

(2) Focus more on others than on yourself. The saying—‘When a person is all wrapped up in themselves, they make a pretty small package’—is true. ‘Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.’ (Philippians 2:4 NKJV)

(3) Respect and value everyone you meet regardless of their social status, race, gender, or other distinguishing factors. When you walk in humility, people respect you and receive your input, and they don’t suspect you of having selfish motives. The Bible says: ‘These… things the Lord hates… a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.’ (Proverbs 6:16–19 NKJV) Today, beware of pride.

19.

Really???

Check this out:

Ten Commandments List

You shall have no other gods before Me.

You shall make no idols.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

Keep the Sabbath day holy.

Honor your father and your mother.

You shall not murder.

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall not covet.

Do we truly keep these? Be honest. Let’s go on:

Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

In life, some may walk, others may run, but remember the Lord gave the tortoise and the horse the same days to reach Noah’s ark. Your journey might be rough and tough but you will definitely get to your destination.

Jacob looked at Joseph and saw a good son! The ten brothers looked at Joseph and saw a useless dreamer! The travellers looked at Joseph and saw a slave!! Potiphar looked at Joseph and saw a fine servant!! Potiphar’s wife looked at Joseph and saw a potential boyfriend! The prison officers saw in Joseph a prisoner! How wrong were all of them! God looked at Joseph and saw a Prime Minister of Egypt in waiting!! Don’t be discouraged by what people see in you!! Be encouraged by what God sees in you!! Never underrate the person next to you because you never know what the Lord has deposited in that person. Your maid may be a Chief Executive Officer in waiting for a company which shall employ your child. Your garden-boy may be a president in waiting. (Remember David got the anointing of becoming a King while he was a simple child herding sheep. Esther was a simple orphaned girl yet she was a Queen in waiting). Let’s share God’s love and make the world a better place to live. Show that love by sharing this message with those you love.

IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW PEOPLE SEE YOU, IT MATTERS HOW GOD SEES YOU

God is God:

🏽He doesn’t care about *age*, no wonder he blessed Abraham.

🏽He doesn’t care about *experience*, no wonder he chose David.

🏽He doesn’t care about *gender,* no wonder he lifted Esther.

🏽He doesn’t care about *your past*, no wonder he called Paul.

🏽He doesn’t care about *your physical appearance*, no wonder he chose Zacchaeus

(the shortest one).

🏽He doesn’t care about *fluency in speech* , no wonder he chose Moses.

🏽He doesn’t care about *your career*, no wonder he choose Mary Magdalene; a prostitute.

All I know is that my God never changes

🏽He never made *a promise he wouldn’t keep*👌🏾

He never saw *a person he wouldn’t help*👌🏾

🏽He never heard *a prayer he wouldn’t answer*👌🏾

🖼He never found *a soul he wouldn’t love*👌🏾

🏽He never found *a sinner he wouldn’t forgive*👌🏾

This is the kind of God I would like to commune with every day the moment I wake up. I strongly recommend Him to you.

In The name of Jesus we decree here on earth and in this house that “all within” shall be made whole to The Glory of God. Father Lord we thank You for health, wellness and fullness. I thank You for Mommy who at the time of my accident sought Your face and You came through. Hallelujah! We ask You this one thing and believe You will cure her and make her full and whole. Lord bless her till her cup runner over and she continues to be a blessing to others. We thank You for healing Father. Thank You for Daddy, his Life and coming to know You closer each day. By Your grace and in Jesus’ name, I decree that we shall all be in Your presence together. Thank You for Love. We commit all the members of this family into Your blessed hands. Lord thank You that we are together. Lord bind us together with cords that cannot be broken we ask You in Jesus’ name. Lord thank You for family, thank You for Love. Use us, touch us, bless us Father in Jesus’ name. We come before You and ask that as we reach out You may give testimonies in our Lives that speak of Your majesty Father, in Jesus name, Amen

I got to thinking about the crucifixion of Jesus. He prior to His being ‘arrested’ in the garden of Gethsemane was a bit upset that the disciples He took with Him were asleep. This because He knew all that would transpire. That Peter would deny Him 3 times, He was even awe inspiringly precise. He said “you will have denied me three times before the cpick crows”? Awesomely specific, no? When He suffered

On the way, Jesus told them, “All of you will desert me. For the Scriptures say, `God will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'”

– Mark 14:27

Top o’ the day to you. A few things as we start our day. Even Jesus did not know when He would return. He knew and promised that He would. No one knows the day or the time, that is why it is beat to be prepared at each moment, each second. Some chance it “I know He is not calling us home at this time, I can do this, I will just ask for forgiveness when I am done.” A very wrong opinion and concept. One, the important thing to note is that the complexity is that we will be judged on what we do, not when, how or why we do it. Our thoughts are an open book, time to line them up with The Word, using it as a guide. You like that person? Wait until you are legally together. This might come as a surprise, disappointment/shame, we are what we do.

That is a complex but simple statement. If we are right-eous (follow me), we do right. When we are sin-ners, we dwell in wrong. Why do they not call it wrong-ers? I have no idea, English is English. Was here when we got here, will be here when we leave; if The Lord tarried.

“The LORD our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.”

Deuteronomy 29: 29

Have a bless-ed day (😜)- A day full of wonder-filled unexpected surprises, gifts, and full-fillment in The Lord.

When He suffered Hematohidrosis (stress caused bleeding from the sweat glands), He knew exactly what would happen.

We have to realize that He did this for you and me. I know there might be some who say, “this guy is fixated on the crucifixion.” Let me ask “Why are you doing as well as you are? Why do you have the hope of glory? Just why did He who had Angels at His beck and call, not just call fire down from Heaven and wipe out all of the Roman empire?” We have And do discuss promises, why are they important? Essentially, we can hold on, claim and have those because Jesus went through knowingly what He did for you and I.

On the way, Jesus told them, “All of you will desert me. For the Scriptures say, `God will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'”

– Mark 14:27

So we may ask what we can do to show appreciation for what He has done. A lot of times it is taught by raising fear in a congregation of listeners. No fear here today. It is a wonderful thing that the same bible we read says we should “Give thanks in all things… ” Let me ask, “Have you given thanks today?” We have discussed this before; a new day to accomplish what we have not accomplished yet. As we pointed out prior; no floods, no falling trees, the biggest one-no death! We have been given a chance to continue pursuing our dream.

Let me ask “Where do you want to be tomorrow or someday? What are you working toward?” As an economist perhaps the CEO position, A Doctor-maybe the head of Department, as a fool’s a world reknoned expert in a division, as a cleaner-an individual that does an outstanding job, as a salesperson someone who could sell a leaf to a tree full of leaves, a nurse-excellence… We could go on and on, but I hope you get the idea.

We have dreams and goals, where do they come from? What do we do when we attain them? That is the question today. Where do you want to be? What do have to do to attain it? Start somewhere, somewhere small and move on up. even starting somewhere small is a start. What do we do when starting? Have we prayed and commited our day, our way into God’s hands?

I am aware that many have spouses, significant others. The Love cannot be described, share with them the dependence you have on God. They of course are party to all You have (well, I will be silly here; they are party to half, no? If you are no more they get everything) So why not start what becomes a blessed habit? We have heard the saying “the family that prays together, stays together.” No? Well, let us start praying together.

I will point out a few benefits, then I will be done:

1. You open up to God about all, advantages, disadvantages in your life. We have been promised so much when we pray. Yes, we can and at times should go into the inner room and pray. But it is a great way to share. I will point out that just as God is your Father, he is theirs as well. What you share with Him, can be shared with the person in your life. We term them significant other or ‘mate’s. How significant. Just what is shared? How much do you keep to yourself? Why? What would happen If you shared ‘that’? Wouldn’t they get to know you better? Your thoughts, your fears, the advantages in your life? The positives, the negatives? What makes you smile? What makes you cry?

We are trending on a topic that we will address soon. But, that has at least been shared. So start somewhere, even If you don’t know where to start. “Honey, can we do something new?” Is a good place to start. “Thank you Lord for today. Be with us tonight and go before us tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, Amen” That is it! A good place to start, and by His grace, you build on that and soon you can share all: fears, hopes, accomplishments and I am sure start building a Loving, tied together, open, and blessed relationship. Based on no one or nothing but God.

2. Want to do something? Anything at all. A good place to start is to pray about it. While ‘growing up’, even if we did not have an awesome relationship with our parents. You had to eat or you wouldn’t be here. Think on that for a moment.

You had a bottle or ‘milk’ from somewhere, no? Even if not your biological parents. Someone who’s responsibility it was to raise you. A nanny, a child care individual. We have a nurture in God. We are created in His image. Yes, baboons look like us, can communicate. But in essence are they us? We can walk, talk, think, speak or at least understand what is being communicated, shop, cook etc. Do they or any other ‘animals’ have these skills?

So in their image we are and were created. Mind you, we are unlike any other species. When Jesus was born, as we said prior, the gates of Heaven were open and the angels came down. Do we remember the song:

1.While shepherds watched their flocks by night,

all seated on the ground;

the angel of the Lord came down,

and glory shone around,

and glory shone around.

2.”Fear not!” said he, for mighty dread

had seized their troubled mind.

“Glad tidings of great joy I bring

to all of humankind,

to all of humankind.”

3.”To you, in David’s town, this day

is born of David’s line

a Savior, who is Christ the Lord,

and this shall be the sign,

and this shall be the sign:”

4.”The heavenly babe you there shall find

to human view displayed,

all meanly wrapped in swathing bands,

and in a manger laid,

and in a manger laid.”

5.Thus spake the seraph and forthwith

appeared a shining throng

of angels praising God on high,

who thus addressed their song,

who thus addressed their song:

6.”All glory be to God on high,

and to the earth be peace;

good will henceforth from heaven to earth

begin and never cease,

begin and never cease!”

This tells the story that The Bible tells us. So, in their image we are made.

The point??? Both Male and Female are made in The Heavenly beings likeness. We have called God a Father, but God is as much a Mother.

And:

For the interest of time I just included the links, but as we have shared, the qualities in both men and women are mirrored in God.

Point? Just as we relate to a mother/father we can and do relate to God.

22.

I am aware that we have taken a few paths, but hopefully they are all tied together.

Let us pray real quick, then we are done.

Father Lord, we give You thanks for this day, our ability to thank You, appreciate You, realize from Whom we get all we have. Thank You for the blessings, thank You for the trials. In Your Word it says that I will not be tried greater than I am able to bear. Thank You for my strength, for the drive You have given me Lord. I can run like a horse, fight like a lion, be as pristine as a butterfly. Thank You Lord for blessing me with all these attributes. Lord may I never sting like a bee, bless me to be more like Jesus each and every day, Lord every moment, be though glorified in my Life, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

OBEDIENCE AND MIRACLES

MEMORISE:

His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. John 2:5

READ : John 2:1-12

1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: EXODUS 9-10 &

ISAIAH 61

MESSAGE:

Besides sowing seeds, obedience is another key factor that can trigger a miraculous harvest in your life. May the Lord grant you the grace to obey Him completely in Jesus’ Name! To enter into this realm of the miraculous, all you need to receive is the divine directive, and immediately you comply with it, you will have your miracle. In our Bible reading, Jesus and His mother were invited to a wedding in Cana of Galilee. At some point, they ran out of wine. His mother came to tell Him of their need, but He simply said it was not yet time for a miracle. Pre-empting Jesus, maybe based on experience, Mary told the servants present to wait on Him, receive any instruction from Him and carry it out to the letter. Later, the Lord instructed them to fill up some water pots with water. The servants thought of arguing with Him that what was needed at the party was wine and not water, but remembering Mary’s strict instructions to do whatever He asked them to do, they complied. Therefore, Jesus asked them to fetch some of the water and serve the chairman of the wedding feast. Again, they wanted to argue, but recalling what Mary said, they obeyed. They took it to the chairman but prepared a ready-made answer should he taste it and ask why they served him water. However, on their way, the water became wine.

One lesson from this story is that God searches for certain attributes in people before giving them their desired miracles. If you want a miracle, you must approach God in faith (Hebrews 11:6). Also, if there is no divine instruction or word from God backed up by total obedience from man, that miracle may never see the light of day. Before performing a miracle, God searches to see whether there is any word of His to honour by this miracle. In other words, if no prophetic word, word of revelation or promise of the Scripture is available concerning the situation, seeking for a miracle in such a case could lead to disappointment. No wonder the Psalmist in Psalm 138:2 said

“I will worship toward thy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”

In addition, if you truly desire a miracle, you must first crave to be acquainted with the God of miracles. Our God is a God of relationship. He is a Friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24, John 15:15). He can sustain His relationship with you even to generations after you depart from the earth. Lastly, after God has given an instruction, nothing short of total compliance is required to trigger your miracle. To get a miracle, God has His part to play, and so do you. How well are you playing your part?

PRAYER POINT:

Father, send me a word that will usher me into a miraculous harvest.

AUTHOR: Pastor E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 7: O JESUS, I HAVE PROMISED.

1. O Jesus, I have promised,

To serve Thee to the end;

Be Thou forever near me,

My Master and my Friend;

I shall not fear the battle

If Thou art by my side,

Nor wander from the pathway

If Thou wilt be my Guide.

2. Oh, let me hear Thee speaking,

In accents clear and still,

I dare not trust my judgment:

Thy way shall be my will;

Oh, speak to reassure me,

To hasten or control;

Oh, speak, and make me listen,

Thou Guardian of my soul.

3. O Jesus, Thou hast promised

To all who follow Thee

That where Thou art in glory

There shall Thy servant be;

And Jesus, I have promised

To serve Thee to the end;

Oh, give me grace to follow,

My Master and my Friend.

4. Oh, let me see Thy footmarks,

And in them plant mine own;

My hope to follow duly

Is in Thy strength alone.

Oh, guide me, call me, draw me,

Uphold me to the end;

And then in Heav’n receive me,

My Savior and my Friend.

Brainiacs! Where is this from? Definitely still ‘playing’ the 3:16 ‘game’.

3:16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

I haven’t forgotten our 3:16 challenge! Have you been keeping up? I am sure some of you must have thought “Whew, so glad that’s over!” Is it? Hmmm! Not really. So let’s get to it. I know you must have thought I would stick to the New Testament; Not!!!

So, can anyone recite what Psalm 3:16 says??? I am waiting…

Aha! You found out there is not a psalm 3:16. Good, you are getting HOT!

Today for the new ‘sharing’, I decided to go back where No one expected: Zephaniah. But it is full of ‘covering’, rich and fulfilling promises. 3:16 says

On that day

    they will say to Jerusalem,

“Do not fear, Zion;

do not let your hands hang limp.

Having the New promise, given by Jesus and all He experienced that is us, it speaks to. So, do not let your hands hang limp at your side raise them and praise The Lord. (If you are driving;”wait till you get home. Double reason at that time to give Him praise. Your guardian angel who was assigned to you.)

At this time, I will ask if any of you has seen an angel? Yes, most likely we have but not known it. Just thought I’d ask.

Now, the reason we were 3:16’ing The Word was to encourage reading, understanding and teaching (“me, me, me!!! I know the answer!”). It’s about time. If you read 16, how about 17? It is stock full of knowledge, blessings and promises.

The Lord your God is with you,

    the Mighty Warrior who saves.

He will take great delight in you;

in his love he will no longer rebuke you,

but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

Told you that I was just getting you to read more. That is all for now. Be blessed.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

We have discussed this earlier, but I read it again, If in Faith we are as we ought to be, our journeys end is the beginning of existence in Glory! In Faith that is an expected end! So, we can take this awesome verse as it is written.

25.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the Earth.”

Psalm 46:10

Yes! Let us in our silence acknowledge our God, our All. If you want to or not, He will be exalted in all the Earth. To be blessed gives us reason to recognize that our God is all we need. Praise Him!

26.

Go By The Book

‘Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.’ Hebrews 10:35 NKJV

How long should you keep praying and believing God for the answer? Until He tells you differently. In other words, go by the book! ‘Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.’ (Hebrews 10:35–36 NKJV) Many of God’s promises have timelines, and you need long-distance faith to receive them. The word endurance pictures a runner determined to reach the finish line. You say, ‘But I’m not sure what God’s will is.’ His will is revealed in His Word, and that’s what you must believe and speak over your situation. To say otherwise is to contradict God.

Abraham stood on God’s promise that he’d be the father of many nations when there wasn’t a shred of evidence to prove it. For twenty years he looked up into the night sky believing, ‘Lord, You said my children would be as numerous as the stars. I don’t know how You’re going to do it for I’m a hundred years old and my wife, Sarah, is ninety. But I’m going to believe You anyway.’ When you pray that way, you risk looking foolish in the eyes of others.

But receiving the miraculous often involves looking ridiculous, like Jesus telling the disciples to fill wine pots with water or rubbing clay in a blind man’s eyes. But the guests at the wedding in Cana drank the finest wine, and the blind man went home seeing. Why? Because they obeyed the word Jesus gave them. So the word for you today is: go by the Book.

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 1:27

We are chosen to be The Gospel to those who do not yet believe. There are many that we want to be with us when we go home. Keep them in prayer and witness to them with our every day; to make the ever lasting in the hereafter.

29.

The LORD by wisdom hath founded the Earth; by understanding hath he established the Heavens.

Proverbs 3:19

Let us break this down. The Earth is as it is, beauty beyond belief when you take in the beauty in its form the waves at sea, the clouds that glide in the sky, the sun, the moon, even those we Love. We cannot but stand in awe at all we have.

Hold on! Wait a second, let us go back to Genesis. Verse 1 in the first Chapter says: In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. vv 2,3  And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

This he did with all He created. Could Angels have lived on earth? I think of It and for reasons that you will see soon, Heaven is a most wondrous place, filled with goodness and grace!!!  I want to show you a little more and you will begin to understand.

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1: 9,10

It goes on. The Heavens were created as was the earth and He saw they were good. Now time does not exist out of this plane we are in. We are limited by time. Now if you were to build a house (I will call it a mansion) Money is no hindrance, you have it all. Here on Earth in the billions; how would you construct it? Pools, courts, flower beds etc. Look in Hollywood and you will get an idea of what sprawling is. We are a tad bit ignorant of the fact that The Home of our Almighty Father who made Earth and Heaven is incomparable to any thing we can imagine. I am at a loss for words.

The creator of Heaven and Earth has a Home in Heaven. He made the concept of money. Gold was found in the ground and mined for, so are diamonds and all sorts of gems in the dirt!!! How do you think Heaven is??? If you find invaluable goods in the dirt here on Earth, Heaven is incomparable.

Why then did I put the verse first??? Read it carefully and think. The creator of Heaven and Earth saw what was created was good and God created more. As O said Angels could have been sent to inhabit Earth, God created animals first and then He created a guardian for His creation of the same nature of the animals but in His form. I have no idea if Heavenly host have arms and legs, but when in the Bible it speaks of Angels:

Jacob had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the Earth, with its top reaching to Heaven, and the Angela of God were ascending and descending on it.  Genesis 28:12

The story of Abram see in Angels walking as men. Interestingly it says God spoke to him, there were three ‘men’ seen at a distance and ran and prostrate. Now these were ‘man like’ and delivered a message. Genesis 18:1-19

We also read Joshua 5:13-14; Mark 16:5 for examples. They do not exist as only ‘man Luke’s but in the leading of the Isrealites out of Egypt there was what is described as God leading His people, here we see that the form is not a constant thing: By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.

Exodus 13:21

Let us continue for another few references:

Other times, angels appeared not as humans, but as something other-worldly, and their appearance was terrifying to those who encountered them. Often, the first words from these angels were “do not be afraid,” because extreme fear was such a common reaction. The keepers of Jesus’ tomb became as dead men when they saw the angel of the Lord (Matthew 28:4). The shepherds in the fields in Luke 2 were “sore afraid” when the angel of the Lord appeared and the glory of the Lord shone around them.

As for physical characteristics, angels are sometimes described as winged. The images of cherubim on the ark of the covenant had wings that covered the mercy seat (Exodus 25:20). Isaiah saw winged seraphim in his vision of the throne of heaven, each one having six wings (Isaiah 6:2). Ezekiel, too, saw visions of winged angels. Isaiah 6:1-2 depicts angels having human features—voices, faces and feet.

Our point is that The LORD by wisdom hath founded the Earth; and by understanding hath He established the Heavens.

This is akin to a game of cards (Lord forgive me). Let me in my wisdom create the Earth, He saw it was good and by understanding hath he established the Heavens. This is so deep, I will allow you to mull this over.

God created Earth and saw it was good. Where He is the established head in Heaven??? Remember what we said about the households of the rich and famous? If you have everything your house would be so fantastic!!!

And it says that by understanding He has created the Heavens! Practice here on Earth and create Your dwelling place!!! My, my, my… It goes without saying that we are in for a HUGE amazing swoon at the magnificence of Heaven.

Seeing what money gets you here on Earth; imagine the dwelling place of He who created Earth and Heaven. Plus He has had time to make it as He wills. You talk of perfection? There is no place on Earth as Opulent as Heaven, and so you get and even more in depth concept:

op·u·lent

ˈäpyələnt

ostentatiously rich and luxurious or lavish.

“the opulent comfort of a limousine”

synonyms:luxurious, sumptuous, palatial, lavish, lavishly appointed, rich, splendid, magnificent, grand, grandiose, fancy;

“an opulent family”

Just so we can get a ‘picture’ in our Spirits of what it will be like.

30.

Words just cannot express the fullness of The Word. Let us take a brief look to start (or complete) the day in a blessed way:

“But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly” Hebrews 12:22

It was been shared that we each have a guardian angel that has been assigned to us by our Father. I was once ‘silly’ enough to try to ‘imagine’ Heaven! Can you believe that!? God created the Universe, placed Earth a certain distance from the sun, God created life. Heaven has no limits! Where we are ‘concerned’ with ‘space’ there is definitely no consideration for such. In reading The Word, there are different ‘levels’ in the spiritual places. To not go back and review; Lucifer wanted his own kingdom outside the bounds and grounds of God’s creation.

Why??? Let us take a close look at just why. To find the origin of Lucifer, we turn to the Old Testament. In the Hebrew, the name Lucifer is translated from the Hebrew word “helel,” which means brightness. This designation, referring to Lucifer, is the rendering of the “morning star” or “star of the morning” or “bright star” which is presented in Isaiah. “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon; I will ascend to the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High’”

Isaiah 14:12-14

We can go back and review this, but the reason I share again is to make the point that there are no limits. When I visited time did not exist. I think I have to go read accounts of others who had the opportunity to see what is, we may not see it yet; but it is! As shared, I thought I had a dream first of the most horrendous nightmare, followed by the most astonishingly beautiful, tranquil, peaceful, wholesome ‘experience’ that I ever had. Even when I think that it was only a ‘dream’ I am moved to want to be in just as awesome (even more so when I know, not think it is a dream) a location.

To make the point quickly, there was no time. I had no concept of what ‘period’ I had been there. In ‘awaking’, I thought it had possibly been (once again) the worst, most ‘depressing’ dream followed by the ultimate in dreams. But, I tarry. The point in this ‘sharing’ is throughout the ages, there has always been ‘hope’ in where we are headed, where we will be.

In saying this, I am moved to the early church; even things at present. People who suffered, were maligned, tortured, killed, imprisoned for their belief in Christ, their ‘hope’. Let us take a look at ‘hope’, so that we too may build upon it.

Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. 5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.

Psalm 3: 2-6

And we also read:

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

“Where, O death, is your victory?

Where, O death, is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:54-58

This says so much, we can speak on these for hours. But I will let them sit in your spirits and allow The word of God to minister to you. We have received victory. As shared, our victory has been purchased with the blood of Christ. Think on this point: Jesus already went through all we have to deal with, what we are faced with. As shared, a sinless ‘human’ (yes, we might argue that He was sent from God, part of God.) We can say He was perfect. It is a loss to say that, just as we are tempted (and fall for it at times), Jesus was tempted and overcame the temptations. Jesus actually called him what he is in John 14:30 mentioning that he (Lucifer) is the Prince of this world. We can visit this later.

To not ‘tarry’ too long on this point; He in the 3rd temptation at the time of the 3 temptations was told to ‘bow down’ before Satan to recieve what He wanted. This is deep and we have discussed it. It was riddled with ‘possibilities’. He was sent to be King of all. What Lucifer offered was a ‘shortcut’ to that end. Again, Lucifer is the father of all lies and liars. What he offered would most likely ‘not’ come to pass.

In breaking this down, apparently they were here alone. Just more importantly I point out that things in the spiritual realm are to us, not as ‘simple’ to understand if we do not focus prayerfully on them. Let us review a few things that are pointed out clearly in The Word, we might not have seen this clearly prior. In the ‘physical’ Jesus was spent not have eaten or drank for more than a month. Let me ask you “In the ‘physical’, how was he able to mount the ‘temple’?” Prior to being tempted to “jump”. Yes! We are tald exactly what he said and did. Are we tempted to do things to ‘show’ others that God is God? If we have this feeling, we need to bury our pride in prayer. Key thing to keep in spirit is that we have guardian Angels.

Again, some might say: “At the time of your accident, where was your guardian angel?” I can answer that.

So much has happened since the accident. Being a ‘writer’ previously, I am fully able to ‘write’ fluently as I used to. Being schooled in an Ivy league school, there is the advantage of the past. Our histories are pre-spoken. Yes, there are decisions that are made and define to a huge extent what we do, where and who we are. Just one of thousands of reasons that we are to place all in the hands of God.

its development is well marked. These books described God’s angels as his ministers who carried out his behests, and who were at times given special commissions, regarding men and mundane affairs.

In Genesis 18-19, angels not only acted as the executors of God’s wrath against the cities of the plain, but they delivered Lot from danger; in Exodus 32:34, God said to Moses: “my angel shall go before thee.” At a much later period, we have the story of Tobias, which might serve for a commentary on the words of Psalm 91:11: “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;” (Cf. Psalm 33:8 and 34:5)

The belief that angels can be guides and intercessors for men can be found in Job 33:23-6, and in Daniel 10:13 angels seem to be assigned to certain countries. In this latter case, the “prince of the kingdom of Persia” contends with Gabriel. The same verse mentions “Michael, one of the chief princes”.

We understand in reading that Satan and his ‘hench angel’s’ in The Word have sat in governance of things on Earth. As believers, our Father made it all and owns it all. Yes, He placed some ‘go between’. When Man was created, we were initially given the keys to ‘govern’ and ‘care’ for this Earth. A thing that was taken from our grips by Lucifer. More importantly, Jesus has placed this in our grasp again. Yes, there is a ‘period’ we must go through. We learn, so that in our final position, we may be learned and wise.

Psalm 37:30; Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 4:6,7; Colossians 2:2,3; 1 Corinthians 1:30

We can go on, but I pray that the point is made, and for all we both referred to the Old and New Testaments.

So, our ‘sharing’ is pretty in-depth at this point. Be blessed. And thank you for reading patiently.

Prayer groups are important; let me encourage that. Important to focus on this for so many reasons. I should actually call them ‘thanksgiving’ groups. For we, for so many reasons are to give God thanks in all things.
