Love vs. love

Long story, in short, like we have shared love (small “l”) means so much: passion, want, need, emotional verification, passion, giving, need, want, what we all look for.  It is in itself what we do for those we care about. Important people in our lives.

Wait! Family? Why do we love them (or in some cases dislike or to be realistic ‘hate’),  (that is love with a small “L”.) They were and will always be. Even though this in no way will tend to the ghettos in Nazi territory. Jews who had it all, were reduced to nothing at all… Thrown in concentration camps, murdered, worked to death BUT always with love for their children/offspring. “I may be going through this, but my offspring, a part of me shall see better. This scrap of food will keep them going even if it means I…” Ok, we get the idea. Modern day? Pride when your children achieve recognition for Academics, Sports, Knowledge or Caring. In families the same emotion is a known (or in most cases unknown) quantity until ‘need’ props up.

I try to leave personal tidbits out, but I have learned SO MUCH from what family means. I am learning what true love is. I’ve went swimmingly well until my accident. Love showed it’s face. A Mother’s love when she sat and prayed beside my bed, a Daddy’s love when he wanted me close to home so that my ‘loved’ ones could have access. So much money! Hotels, Time, Hospital bills, taking care of my affairs. Transporting me to New York City from Buffalo. A helicopter ride? Think of the cost! Does Love have a limit? I have learned “No!”

Hold on! Wait a minute. Why? Did I share that? I learned just what love truly means. Yes, I have children and have learned to truly love them. It is weird, I thought I expressed love before, but in truth it was passion to see them do well. Church, School, Sports, Swimming… I tried to make it ALL work.

ok, ok, ok… Point? There is something we have heard called L-O-V-E (capital “L” to start with) “Whoever does not Love does not know God, because God is LOVE.” 1 John 4:8

Ok, so as pointed out in our sharing in the past you create something, spend time, effort, should I venture the word love (small “L”) into creating this thing…Lego, a wedding cake, a house etc So much is put into it. When it is made, it is the joy of your ‘life’ pride, overwhelming joy! No one had best touch it… or else! There will be Hell to pay! Come again? What is that? Ring a distant bell? “Hell to pay.” What does that mean? 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9 gives us fair notice: God will punish those who do not know Him and do not obey The Gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the Glory of His might.

So, again why love versus Love?  For God so Loved the World that He gave His one and only begotten Son (a part of Him), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

It has been started again! Took some time for many to realize it. But, look, learn and know. We ARE Loved. We were chosen pieces on the chess board. Yes! Grains of sand on a meaningful beach! Each with it’s own function. Wait! Empty a beach of all the sand! Empty space? Each grain has a function. It always needs other supporting grains to achieve its purpose.

One Body but Many Parts: There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body. It didn’t matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people. We were all given the same Spirit to drink. So the body is not made up of just one part. It has many parts.

Suppose the foot says, “I am not a hand. So I don’t belong to the body.” By saying this, it cannot stop being part of the body. And suppose the ear says, “I am not an eye. So I don’t belong to the body.” By saying this, it cannot stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, how could it hear? If the whole body were an ear, how could it smell? God has placed each part in the body just as he wanted it to be. If all the parts were the same, how could there be a body? 20 As it is, there are many parts. But there is only one body.

The eye can’t say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”  In fact, it is just the opposite. The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are the ones we can’t do without.  The parts that we think are less important we treat with special honor. The private parts aren’t shown. But they are treated with special care.  The parts that can be shown don’t need special care. But God has put together all the parts of the body. And he has given more honor to the parts that didn’t have any.  In that way, the parts of the body will not take sides. All of them will take care of one another.  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares in its joy. You are the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Each one of you is a part of other, time to realize (I am still learning) what Love in truth really is! We will never fully understand it till we behold LOVE itself in its true form, nature, Character! Amen
