Testimonies

A testimony? Just what is this? Should I have one? Many?
Let us take a quick look at just what a testimony is. It essentially is stating FACT of what occured. In our day, giving testimony in court alludes to stating fact. Do we have examples in the,Word?

Let us take a look. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are figures from chapter 3 of the Book of Daniel, three Hebrew men thrown into a fiery furnace by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, when they refuse to bow down to the king’s image; the three are preserved from harm even though the men of stature who bore them up to the furnace were killed by the heat! The king sees four men walking in the flames, weren’t three thrown in? “The fourth … like a son of God.”
Who are the “sons of God.” To be created or spoken into being makes you a produce of the maker.
“The Nephilim were on the Earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. … In Judaism “sons of God” usually refers to the righteous, i.e. the children of Seth.”

To further understand this: This may also imply that the “sons of God” were human. Consequently, most Jewish commentaries and translations describe the Nephilim as being from the offspring of “sons of nobles”, rather than from “sons of God” or “sons of angels”.

So in our passage, the fourth seen in the flames, was a figure that was as of the mighty men of old. There were 3 thrown in and 4 seen! Let us dwell on this. No matter who or what the fourth is or was the testimony to The grace of God is The three that were thrown in, had not a hair of their heads signed, nor their garments affected by the flames.

In believing these are our brethren in whom a great work was done, their testimony! What is yours? Do you share?
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
John 14:12
Greater! This shakes me! Are you doing? The apostle Paul had so many testimonies, almost too many to name! What are your testimonies?

We ARE supposed to share. In high school we had a time for testimony in service. The Word is,The Word. What God does IS THE WORD. We live it, we experience it and we know it, Amen. Similar situations/relativity. Are we going to speak The Word and someone fall asleep and fall from an upper window? So many things guard against this in present time: guardrails, secure chairs on level surfaces, etc. This was shared because it occurred at that time.
What do we have in our time? So many situations! To GOD BE THE GLORY as we permit Him to use us, Amen
We just have to avail ourselves to be used by Him. This of course requires us to do some things, all we have been directed in The Word.

Again, we can go on and on, but I just wanted to outline what has already been said.
What is your testimony?
