We can pray Psalm 119, Amen.
Visit this often, as The LORD leads.
“Stablish Thy word unto Thy servant, who is devoted to Thy fear, for in the fear of You Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Our knowledge of You focuses us TOTALLY on You LORD,” Amen
Turn away my reproach which stands against me, for Thy judgments are good.
Behold, I have longed after Thy precepts; quicken me in Thy righteousness.
Let Thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even Thy salvation, according to Thy Word, Amen.
Praying the Scriptures is an effective way to meditate on a passage in the Bible. The prayer that follows the Bible passage is a meditative prayer reflection. I suggest that you try it yourself with either this passage or another one. Psalm 119 is a great one to practice with because it is nicely divided into eight verse blocks. As I ease back into blogging, I plan to offer several of these prayerful reflections in the coming weeks. I hope they bless you.
Remember the word to Your servant,
In which You have made me hope.
This is my comfort in my affliction,
That Your Word has revived me.
The arrogant utterly deride me,
Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.
I have remembered Your ordinances from of old, O Lord,
And comfort myself.
Burning indignation has seized me because of the wicked,
Who forsake Your law.
Your statutes are my songs
In the house of my pilgrimage.
O Lord, I remember Your name in the night,
And keep Your law.
This has become mine,
That I observe Your precepts. (Psalm 119:49-56, NASV)
Oh Lord, You have made promises to me and to all who Love You. I worship You as You pour Your blessings on me, Amen
I get no greater pleasure and find no deeper peace than when I’m spending time reading Your word. It stirs up my spirit.
Those who don’t hope in You don’t understand me but I will stick with You anyway, for You are my only hope.
When I am discouraged, I meditate on Your teachings, and I feel better. My soul finds rest and soothing.
I admit to getting angry and frustrated with those who practice wickedness and call it a ‘godsend’ (lowercase “g” utilized on purpose.) We are meant to be as our Awesome Father in Heaven, He sent an example, THE Example. It is more than evident that Jesus came as man, and dealt with more than we ever have or could. THE Example to follow, Amen. Those who reject Your teachings out of hand give me heartburn.
Praising You comes easy though, Lord, because Your Word fills me up and carries me along. Praises for You well up in my heart and flow out from my tongue.
I cannot go to sleep at night without talking to You, O God. I cannot rise from my slumber without starting the conversation up again. For Your Word leads us to speak with You incessantly.
I cannot sleep. I cannot speak. I cannot live without Your Word in my heart.
