Psalm 55:22 —”Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Standing in the midst of your trial!
Scriptures remind us that in this life we will encounter trials and tribulations but to be encouraged because Our Savior has overcome the world. However, how do we stand tall in the face of our trial?
In writing this share I was reminded of Jesus’ many trials He faced, the most daunting His own impending crucifixion. Though God in flesh, the emotions He must have struggled with and the fears He had to release to WILLINGLY go to the cross to die such a brutal death are beyond mortal comprehension. But we thank God that Jesus was not a mere ‘mortal’ man or we would have no hope for life after physical death.
So how do we stand? Death row inmates must face their judgment on earth before being put to death by electrocution or lethal injection. Before death many seek or are offered religious counsel and prayer to give them the strength to face what lies ahead. Where does that strength come from? It comes from The Word of God. It resonates in the souls of both the believer and unbeliever Why? Because at the time of your creation God places His seed in you. Whether or not that seed is cultured and nurtured, it still exists in you whether saved or unsaved. When God’s Word is spoken to you it resonates in your being like the attraction of a moth to the flame. You can feed the flame (accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior and studying God’s Word) or allow the flame to extinguish. However, when The Word is heard a spark is ignited and your soul responds.
God’s Word is that flame🔥 that encourages us. Gives us courage, abilities that men marvel at and a faith that no matter what we are facing, a belief that it’s going to be ALRIGHT with God at our side and indwelling in our spirits.
So how do you stand in the midst of persecution, disease, death, unfaithfulness, a broken heart, a wounded spirit, a traumatic loss, a physical, emotional or mental assault…you stand on God’s promises and His Word!!!
“For He Himself has said, “I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.” So we may then boldly declare: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” — Hebrews 13:5-6
Stand tall, erect and courageous then my brothers and sisters for He has overcome the world and all its trials and tribulations and filled you with His spirit and armed you with His Word. You ARE battle-ready. You can stand on His Word. Your knees will NOT buckle no matter the adversity. Not even in the face of death for He is holding you up. He is carrying you. He is with you unto the end!!! 🙏🏽👐🏾
