I have wondered and thought why exactly was Jesus sent? How did Jesus know?
The Wisdom of Solomon was written in Greek, in Alexandria (Egypt), in the late 1st century BCE to early 1st century CE; the author’s prime literary source was the Septuagint, in particular the Wisdom literature and the Book of Isaiah, and he was familiar with late Jewish works as the Book of Enoch and with Greek
As we see Jesus knew!
Jesus and his disciples left from there and began a journey through Galilee,
but he did not wish anyone to know about it.
He was teaching his disciples and telling them,
“The Son of Man is to be handed over to men
and they will kill him,
and three days after his death the Son of Man will rise.”
But they did not understand the saying,
and they were afraid to question him.
When sent; before His ministry began Jesus stated: “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” John 2:4
Knowledge, coupled with what we now know as ‘foresight’ of His ministry and purpose, led to a very human response ‘fear’. I will ask simply ‘If you knew a plane would crash, would you board it?”
We read in The Word:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of Love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Again we refer to the wedding feast at Cana, when Mary tells Jesus that there is no more wine, Jesus responds, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour is not yet come.” (John 2:4). Although this form of address sounds harsh and rude to modern ears, “woman” was actually a term of respect and honor at the time.
But as we point Jesus here as Hu-Man knew exactly what was required and sought to stave off the inevitable.
After this, Matthew 4:1 says Jesus was led by The Spirit to fast and be tempted by the Devil, Jesus’ “Season of Job.” Agaib, we are left wondering what exactly occured. It is significant that at the other testimonies of 40 day fasts; exactly what occured day by day is not known
“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted
by the devil.
After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Satan can only be one place at a time, though he has minions ‘The principalities and the powers…’ which Jesus’ sacrifice has despoiled.
“When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,
having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
But, Y’all we have victory! The battle has been fought and won! Glory to God in the HIGHEST!!!
All we need do as claim it in spirit and it is ours.
The Heavens are Yours, the Earth also is Yours; The world and all it contains, You have founded them.
“Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine The soul who sins will die.
“Do you thus repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is not He your Father who has bought you? He has made you and established you.”
The wicked say:
Let us beset the just one, because he is obnoxious to us;
he sets himself against our doings,
reproaches us for transgressions of the law
and charges us with violations of our training.
Let us see whether his words be true;
let us find out what will happen to him.
For if the just one be the son of God, God will defend him
and deliver him from the hand of his foes.
With revilement and torture let us put the just one to the test
that we may have proof of his gentleness
and try his patience.
Let us condemn him to a shameful death;
for according to his own words, God will take care of him
Again another testimony written before Jesus came, proving that He knew exactly what was to occur! It is written in The Word, and Jesus is The Word, The Truth and The Life, Amen
Furthermore, I will admit that I was mesmerized by ‘time’. Everything we experience is in ‘Time.’ I mistakenly thought God was possibly Solo. Again my understanding of ‘time’ hindered my understanding of ‘time.’ I considered other entities! I had to experience ‘timelessness’ to catch a glimpse of what it is! Yes, I wrote before, but got too busy with ‘life’ to focus on what this is. A mere fraction of existence.
Ok, I will expand your minds. Again, our understanding is ‘numerical’. The ‘seen’ came into existence blah, blah, blah…billions of years ago! In the next existence there is NO “Time.” I know this is difficult to grasp! But, our minds as ‘free’ as we ‘let’ them be find it hard to understand exactly what that means!
I was given a glimpse…we exist in our decisions! After life, there is permanent existence! Based on your understanding of that! So many fail to understand this. We are as we are! We have a microcosm to determine which place we will be.
We either stand with our Creator, or on our own.
See! Time is secondary to what was and is created in “the seen.” Once again difficult to understand. We see ‘life’ and estimate it in ‘years.’ It is amazing that after ‘death’ there is NO sight! We are not in the realm of ‘Time.’ We at/upon death are where? What is that place?
Here where we experience sun rises, sun sets and time! It is hard to explain the lack of ‘time.’ But, the dead cease to experience ‘time’, as in the land of the ‘living’ it is experienced as sun rises and sun sets! Again, this is hard to grasp!
Simplified? When we cease to be ‘alive’ – breathing with a heartbeat. There is time. When that ceases, there is permanent existence. In this minuscule ‘existence’ in our existence we are presented with choices!
