Love!!!

Once again the ‘playa hater’ in me is revved up!
I am so tired of seeing people “attempt” to ‘bless’ others IF…
You respond, type Amen, I Love you Lord, I receive… The list goes on!

It strikes me that The Word says: “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
Matthew 6:6

Yet, people want Amen’s, shares etc. They are misled!

Jesus NEVER counted people! God sent Him for The World to redeem the irredeemable. Why? Love!

Broken record I say it yet again, for Love we are here!

Sistren and Brethren dear beloved, let us Love one another, for Love comes from God. Everyone who Loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7

What is Love?

“Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Love of God can mean either love for God or Love by God. Love for God (philotheia) is associated with the concepts of worship, and devotions towards God.

The Greek term agape is applied both to the Love that huMan’s have for God and to the Love that God has for Man.

Here we are talking about God in Glorious being, Amen.

Where we started was individuals sharing and ‘asking’ for a ‘confirmation’ of reciept.
The count of 5,000 at the mount. There was no way to even measure accurately what the count was! It did not matter, all that mattered was that people heard The Word!

How was Jesus able to be heard when preaching to 5,000 people?
Mark 6:30 – 44

Since we know that Jesus didn’t have access to a megaphone, microphone, or any device of that kind, we might wonder how was He able to be heard by such a large gathering of people.

It just might be that many could not hear Him clearly that day preaching the most famous sermon of all time, the “Sermon On The Mount” (Matt: 5,6,7). Nowhere in scripture is it asserted that ‘the whole crowd was able to hear every word spoken on that mountain that day.’

However, we do know that someone heard the sermon because we have it recorded in scripture, and that is what truly matters. Someone was enlisted by the Spirit of The Everlasting One to hear and to keep a record of the words of our God to us. I seriously doubt that the people in the back could hear well enough to be the ones who gave us the record of His discourse, but they wouldn’t have to; there were the ones up front.

Matt 5:1 says that He saw this multitude of people and He went up on the mountain and “when He was set, His disciples came to Him.” The writer of this gospel book was one of those disciples mentioned in that text. Surely he heard him, he was right there with Him.

It would be great to imagine that when the Son of God spoke His voice could be heard by anyone interested in what He had to say, but I have doubts about this. I imagine it was hard hearing Him for many in attendance, but one thing is for sure;

Matthew heard Him… Selah

A summary of Jesus’ teachings are found below:
The Gospel of Matthew is rich with teaching statements by Jesus that give us insights into how he would like his followers to live.

Jesus did not set about teaching doctrines or “theology.” Instead, he demonstrated many of his teachings, although he also made many commandments throughout His ministry (Matt. 28:20).
Many times “The Sermon on the Mount” is referred to as Jesus’ basic teachings in a capsule. We encourage you to read the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7) to absorb the full richness of the concepts and language.

Below are 20 key teachings of Jesus from the Gospel of Matthew; this is not a complete list. There are many other teachings of the Christian church, but these are some of the ones we get from looking at just Jesus’ life and ministry. Many have direct parallels to key events in His life.

The Christian life is marked by baptism.

Matt. 4:18-22

Jesus says, “Take up your cross and follow me”

Jesus showed compassion for all and helped them: the poor, the despised, the outcasts, and wants us to do the same

Jesus’ disciples become a community of faith, which forms the beginnings of the Christian church universal
Matt. 28:16-17.

The events of Jesus’ last week on earth are the culmination of his ministry and teachings, climaxing with his death on the cross. A man who has never sinned dies to save all the rest of us who have sinned Matt. 21-27

Jesus says, “I am alive! Go and tell everyone else”
Matt. 28:7-10

Jesus adds, “I will be with you forever”
Matt. 28:20b

Below is another way of summing up Jesus’ teachings in his own words, from his Sermon on the Mount:

-Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
-Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
-Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
-Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
-Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
-Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
-Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
-Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
-Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matt. 5:1-12
