This is a share that touched my heart. How do you get to know God? To speak with God and commune with Him?
An inexplicable Essence! It always blows my mind and floors me! My Creator Loves me to no end. He as Jesus our Christ came down and changed ALL!!! Prior we were ‘outsiders’ now we are a FAMILY of believers! How we worship is a minute fragment…Judge not and be not judged!
Your relationship with God is just that! YOUR relationship! I believe that at Home (Heaven) there is no sect or division. Here on Earth, Yes! There is division, but among Brethren and Sistren? Amazingly, the same Bible we ALL read. Yes! There may be differences, pray and stay grounded.
One thing that amazes me is that the number of angel’s is inestimable! Heaven is a place with no beginning and no end! We were created in God’s image. Angel’s our brethren in the spiritual are created differently.
Yes! We have ‘natural’ strength. The description ‘supernatural’ is useful for a force well above the ‘natural.’
One quick peak
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
Makes you quake, no? Our comfort is in The fact that the battle has already been won! Stand fast and receive!
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
“You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lordon your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.”
2 Chronicles 20:17
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
And once again we state with emphasis on what we stand on the ready with!
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and Love and self-control.” (I feel a share coming up, Amen.)
2 Timothy 1:7
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
So, where do we start? What is the key to living an extraordinary life? Many of us want to know if we’re making the right decisions. That’s why so many of us ask ourselves if we’re on the right path and if the direction we’re going in is the right way. We all want to make sense of what God is saying to us and where He is leading us.
While we all want the answer revealed to us but many don’t have a clue where to find the answer when the starting place is very simple: God. There is no better place to go than to Scripture for the answer. The Bible offers great insight into God’s plan and will for His people. The Lord has a great plan for your life.
Scripture tells us, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11). Do you know where God might be calling you? Do you want to live your best life? Do you want to better hear His voice so these answers may be revealed to you? Here are six secrets from God for an extraordinary life.
It’s Important to Tune Out the Noise
It’s important to tune out the noise around you, if only for a few moments each day in order to live your best life. How many times have you prayed today and if you haven’t prayed at all, ask yourself one simple question: why? Many of us will answer this question with a number of excuses: ‘I’m too busy right now with my family or my work to talk to God right now’, ‘I don’t get immediate gratification when I make requests to God’ or ‘God seems silent when I reach out to Him’ among others.
It’s time to cut the excuses. Jeremiah 33:3 tells us “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” God wants an intimate relationship with us and prayer is the best way to communicate with God. He wants us to actively call on Him so that He can answer our prayer.
Learn How to Listen to God
It’s easy to talk to God, but it’s a lot harder to listen to what He is telling us. Truly listening to God and hearing His voice is one of the first steps to living an extraordinary life. It’s very difficult to hear God’s voice when we are listening to every other voice besides His. The writer of Hebrews tells us that we can train our ears to recognize the voice of God above all the noise. “But solid food belongs to those who are full of age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:14).
When we practice, by reason of use, we are able to discern whether what we hear is of God, our flesh, or the Enemy. It’s important that we hear the Holy Spirit and recognize the ways He is speaking and working through us. Jesus said, “He who has ears [to hear], let him be listening and let him consider and perceive and comprehend by hearing” (Matthew 13:9). Pray that God will give you a hearing heart to listen and hear where He is calling you.
Prayer Has Extraordinary Power
How many times have you heard someone say “prayer has power”? They aren’t just saying it to say it. They’re saying it because they have seen the impact of prayer in their own life. Prayer is a powerful tool for communicating with God. Prayer also helps us to find strength for today and hope for our future. We should actively pray and trust in its power to change our circumstances for good. Your faith life directly correlates to the quality of your prayer life.
Prayer has the power to change not only the people and things around you. Prayer also has the power to change you from the inside out. When you’re in need of strength, remember that God is the number one healer and can guide you in endless ways. If your heart and life are centered on God, His Word and His Holy Spirit, you can rest assured that He will direct your path to greatness.
We Can Have Victory Over the Problems We Face
There is nothing we can’t get through if we trust that God is walking with us. The lesson from Jericho, recorded in Joshua 6:1-27, helps us understand how God wants to give us victory over the problems that we face. While most of us have heard about Jericho, few of us have put the principles shown to work in our lives. We all deal with issues every day of our lives – depression, loneliness, addiction, defeat and despair are just a few to name.
Jericho stands for all those things that we can’t get victory over on our own but will hurt others and eventually destroy us if we don’t. These are the things we hide in our lives: our fears, defeats, anxieties and outright deceit. God knows there is only one solution: lead them into battle against them.
Focus on What Really Matters
Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” How many times in life have you been distracted? When we’re focused on things and people that aren’t important to our growth and goals, it will only take away from our lives. When a challenge shows up in your life, focus on what really matters.
Trust God that has your best interest in mind, even if you’re not sure what He’s doing or where you’re being led. Pay attention to what God is teaching you this very moment. What is He saying to you? Once you remove the distractions in your life, you will be on your way to living your best life.
Your Situation is Only Temporary
The common phrase “this too shall pass” is a quote that reminds us that regardless of what circumstances we face and the hand that we are dealt, it will soon pass. When someone says this, it is usually in the context of a painful or otherwise unpleasant situation that is happening at the time. The phrase means that the situation is only temporary. It is a great phrase to remember when it comes to any circumstance you’re facing.
While seasons come, they will also pass and things are bound to get better eventually. In our times of joy and in the darkest hours of pain, God’s love not only sustains but also remains. No matter what trial we face in life, God is still the same.
The plan God has for your life can only be accomplished when we give the best of our time, efforts, gifts and focus to the things we do. God brings out the best in us when we give Him our best. The Bible tells us, “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:12).
Just as Timothy was focused and committed to God’s call, and not distracted or distracted by those around him, we too should model this in our own lives. As you grow in your relationship with God and separate yourself from the distractions that hold you back, you will be on your way to living an extraordinary life.
