“Come with me, and I will show you!”
“I am above all!”
Yes! But not Him!
“Observe my beauty! Does it not speak excellence!”
In private, the thoughts, words and actions are known.
“Now He threatens ‘us’; we do His work. ‘we’ will be better suited with me on The throne!”
“NO ‘but’s’! He is too ‘soft‘. You need a true leader!”
“Do you refute me?”
“When I rule; you will be the low of the low! There is a heirarchy here! Where do you wish to be? There are principalities and powers…I can and will raise you up to ‘serve’ with me!”
“Before You say it! We do His will! Do we not have our will?”
“Before another ‘but’ is in your spirit…I have spoken to principalities and powers of and on different ‘realms’! Many have chosen to ‘side’ with me! I am great! With these on my side, we will be greater! ALL we do! Have you ever seen Him? He is on The Throne! As ‘hard’ as we work doing His will! Do YOU have will?”
“Be gone!!! I have warned you! Depart from my presence!”
“Lucifer, thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”
Revelation 12:7-9 talks of the war in Heaven before the foundation of the earth:
“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
In summary: there was a war in heaven before we came to earth. Satan and his angels lost the war and were thrown out of heaven to the earth. They are here on earth to tempt and try us so they can get us to be miserable like them.
There is heirarchy in Heaven as there had been always.
As far as I know the excluding God the Seraphim are the highest and plural they are called Seraphs and then the one just below them are the Cherubim and plural they are called Cherubs.
the Seraphim i think are the guardians of Heaven and the Cherubim are the foundation of heaven and they hold the heavens up. in some pictures might illustrate God riding on a cherubim like a cow boy on a horse but that is innacurate tho rather he is holds the Cherubim in his hand to show that no creature supports God but God supports all things.
there are conflicting description of the cherubim but one of them is a very funky looking creature its a symbolic of four creatures put together, a lion a ox, a eagle and a man. AND its bodies are made up of eyes here is an cool looking artist depiction of one but really nobody knows;
And the Seraphim is less funky looking as far as i know i do believe they look like angels but with 6 wings and they only use 2 to fly and the other pairs are used to hide their faces and their feet fictional depiction;
a commentator speculated that the 2 extra pairs of wings means that they are extra speedy but i dont know if that is accurate since they use the two other pairs to cover their face and their feet.
i wish i would draw my own interpretation of it i don’t like anybody else’s one.
then finally there are the angels the most humanoid looking of the spirit creatures the least authority of the spirit creatures and they do much of Gods work, they are messengers and other things and within the ranks of the angels the highest angels are the “Archangels” and such an angel is called Michael they are the leaders of the angels and it is prophesied that at the end of it, Michael will be the Archangel that battles against satan and wins
Michael Statue in Ukraine
there are a lot of cool looking pictures of angels on the internet but you get the gist of it.
but one of the things about angels is that they will always have el at the end of their names that is because the el signifies their divine status ie Michael, Gabriel, Uriel
i might be wrong about this but i think it comes from the word Elohim.
in this orderSeraphim>Cherubim>Thrones>dominions>Virtues>Powers> Principalities>Archangel>Angel.
concerning thrones it is argued that the word translates to “valiant ones” an Ophanim is a class of celestial beings mentioned in Daniel that are sometimes equated with the thrones.
Dominions are angels of leadership
Virtues are known as the spirits of motion and have control over the elements and the seasons sometimes called “the shinning ones”
Powers are warrior angels against evil defending the cosmos and humans
Principalities are a spiritual being hostile towards God and humans
so in that order it is Seraphim>Cherubim>Thrones>dominions>Virtues>Powers> Archangels>principalities>angels.
Principalities are along with the powers, they are the Powers and principalities fighting each other good vs evil. i think the devil fits into the principality
angels are the closest to the material world and us humans.
Satan Wanted the Glory but was Cast out of Heaven
Isaiah 14:12-15 goes more in-depth about what was mentioned in Revelations (above):
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”
Summary: before the war in heaven, Satan wanted all the glory, and wanted to become either equal to or more powerful than God. Instead he will be brought down to hell. His fate is sealed at the end of the world and God will triumph.
It is quite possible that Lucifer, another name for Satan, was originally an angel whose purpose was to be involved in the worship of God. We do not know for sure, but the case can be made from Ezekiel.
- Ezekiel 28:13, “You were in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz, and the diamond; the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper; the lapis lazuli, the turquoise, and the emerald; and the gold, the workmanship of your settings (timbrels) and sockets (flutes), was in you. On the day that you were created they were prepared.
In the Hebrew, the word for “settings” is toph which means timbrel, which is a musical instrument. Likewise, the Hebrew word for “sockets” is neqeb and means “pipes, grove, hole.”
This is why some people suspect that Lucifer (name means ‘light bearer’) was involved with music and therefore worship before God. But because of Lucifer’s exceeding beauty and greatness, some suspect he became prideful and rebelled against God.
Isaiah 14:12-15, “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth. You who have weakened the nations! But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ 15 Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit.”
‘father’ of all lies?
Speaking to a group of Jews, Jesus says, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).
Satan is the “father of lies” in that he is the original liar; as we see from above the first ever mistruths began with Lucifer in Heaven and was polished in the garden of Eden!
Satan is the “father” of all lies in the same way that Martin Luther is the “father” of the Reformation and Robert Goddard is the “father” of modern rocketry. Satan told the first lie in recorded history to Eve, in the Garden of Eden. After planting seeds of doubt in Eve’s mind with a question (Genesis 3:1), he directly contradicts God’s Word by telling her, “You will not certainly die” (Genesis 3:4). With that lie, Satan led Eve to her death; Adam followed, and so have we all.
Lying is Satan’s primary weapon against God’s children. He uses the tactic of deceit to separate people from their Heavenly Father. Some of his more common lies are “there is no God,” “God doesn’t care about you,” “the Bible cannot be trusted,” and “your good works will get you into heaven.” The apostle Paul tells us that Satan “masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14), so that what he says and does sounds good and seems reasonable. But it is nothing more than a false appearance.
Many of Satan’s lies tend to perpetuate themselves. This is what happened when Eve convinced Adam to also believe the devil’s lie. Today, Satan still uses people to spread his lies for him. Often, he uses charismatic but foolish people to further his falsehoods, as in the case of false religions and cults.
The Bible has many names for Satan to describe his true nature, including “ruler of this world” (John 12:31), “god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4), “tempter” (1 Thessalonians 3:5), “deceiver” (Revelation 12:9), “Beelzebub” (literally, “lord of the flies,” the ruler of demons, in Matthew 10:25), and “Belial,” meaning “wicked” (2 Corinthians 6:15).
Satan has told more lies to more people (and even angels) than any other being ever created. His success depends on people believing his lies. He has used everything from “little white lies” to huge, pants-on-fire whoppers to deceive folks. Adolph Hitler, a man who learned how to lie effectively, once said, “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”
Whether a lie is small or large is not really the issue. Lies are of the devil. If you’ve lied even once, then, unless you repent, you will not enter heaven. The Bible teaches that allliars “will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). Proverbs 19:9 also teaches that anyone who lies will be punished.
Avoid this fate by obeying Mark 1:15: “Repent and believe in the gospel.” Jesus is the truth (John 14:6), and He will never deceive you. Those who come to Jesus in faith will find that “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).
What is a ‘father’? Could we be here without a father? How about Jesus? Yes! From Whom did He come? To be Human, we must all be concieved. The virgin birth of Jesus is the doctrine that Jesus was conceived and born by his mother Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit and without a human father.
In Jesus case, a VIRGIN gave birth! Inexplicable!!! Actually, unbelievable! But following ‘the Story’ there are undeniable occurences! Herod learning of the birth of the “King of the jews” and ordering the murder of all Male children 2 or below!
Jesus’ being taken to the temple; Jesus at the age of twelve accompanies Mary, Joseph and a large group of their relatives and friends to Jerusalem on pilgrimage, “according to the custom” – that is, Passover. On the day of their return, Jesus“lingered” in the Temple, but Mary and Joseph thought that he was among their group. He was neither thrown out or molested. But rather found favor in the sight of the elders.
