The ‘place’ where Judas knew he could find Jesus was in the garden, where he so often prayed with his disciples. Even as Jesus knew of his impending end, he remained calm, and surrounded himself with those important to him. Personally, I could think of no better place to be in my final few hours than being surrounded by those whom I have loved, and finding comfort in God. In your last days, who would you be with? Far from a morbid question, we may gladly exclaim that we would also like it to be with our Lord and Father, welcoming us into everlasting life.
God my Almighty, my Redeemer and Father, I praise Your name and the comfort You may give throughout my life. Even at my end, I know You will not leave me. Even at my end, surrounded by my loved ones and Your blessings, I may be laid to rest knowing that I am surrounded by Your welcoming embrace and Love. O Heavenly Father, hallowed be thy name! Amen.
