There is reason to our waking up this morning…

Yes! Corona virus. It would not be wise to ignore. A worldwide epidemic, it brings major factors home.

But Man dies, and is laid low;
man breathes his last, and where is he?
As waters fail from a lake,
and a river wastes away and dries up,
so man lies down and rises not again;
till the Heavens are no more she/he will not awake,
or be aroused out of his/her sleep. Job 14:10-12

Life is limited, yes! We have been neither the opportunity of life, Amen. Each born with their own cause.

Hold up! What is real? The brevity of life. Where to next? What is after life? Death is a constant reminder that something is wrong—terribly wrong—with the world. Our frustration with death comes not only from the miserable pain it brings, but also from the fact that death and the afterlife are such mysteries. The afterlife evades our test tubes and refuses to subject itself to our experimentation. Everyone must experience the transition from life to death without the benefit of knowing exactly what that transition looks and feels like. To call the afterlife “the great unknown” is an understatement.

According to the Bible, those who hope in Christ are immediately with Christ in Heaven when they die. The Apostle Paul told early Christians that whenever he died he would be “away from the body and at home with the Lord.” That is, though the body may be put into the ground, the spirit (which includes identity and self-consciousness) is immediately present with Christ in heaven, which Paul describes as being “better by far” than our troublesome, pain-filled existence on Earth.

What is hope? ALL we have! Our hope is in The LORD.

 We put our hope in the Lord.
    He is our help and our shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice,
    for we trust in His holy name.
Let your unfailing Love surround us, LORD,
    for our hope is in You alone. Psalm 33:20-22

And we pray:

LORD God our Hope and Redeemer, we give You praise, as Your Word says “In all things. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “In every thing give thanks: for this is The Will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” O LORD, what time is this? To know You, to Love You, to need You, to Fear You. Father, You are our ALL, Amen. We ask for your hand upon our lives, Amen. In You we find true Joy. Around us is death and destruction, we long to be in Your Presence, Amen. Allow us to do and be what and why you sent us we pray. Be glorified Father in the life of Your children, we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
