Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he.
And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
John 18:4-6 KJV
Jesus ask these folks twice who they were looking for, to which they replied, “Jesus of Nazareth”, Jesus was forcing them to acknowledge that they had no authority to take His disciples.
In fact, Jesus demanded that they let the disciples go. the force of His demand was established by the power of His words. When he spoke the words “I am He”. A designation He had used before to declare Himself God.
When these men heard the words “I am He” they were Jolted backwards and fell to the ground, (glory to God.) This power that Jesus display, and the authoritative demand not to take the disciples was of immense significance.
So you see, Satan cannot touch us without God’s permission, good morning have blessed Easter Sunday.
