We live on Earth. The Earth is a rock or perhaps a boulder in all Creation – the Universe, we are grain of sand on the surface of the Earth in truth.
The Universe – So what is the Universe? Well, the short answer is that it is the sum total of all EXISTENCE. It is the entirety of time, space, matter and energy that began expanding some 13.8 billion years ago and has continued to expand ever since.
God Rested in the seventh period of Creation. Our God has been ‘Painting’, ever since.
One individual was told: “My Essence will surely Bless you and Make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore…” These are the descendants of one individual!
There may be questions about ‘room’ in Heaven. We “Earthify” The Presence of God. Words fail us in a description of The Creator of ALL things: seen and unseen.
For in The Essence of The ALL Mighty – all things were Created: things in Heaven and on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; ALL things have been Created through THE ESSENCE of God and for the Pleasure of The Creator.
We are chanced to recite the Nicene creed for some, every Sunday, for others on special celebrations: We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible.
The site of the Last Supper in Jerusalem was the “first” Christian church.” Archaeology magazine suggests that the Dura-Europos church in Syria is the oldest surviving church building in the world.
We will not be ignorant as to what the church has been through over centuries. After Jesus’ resurrection, Jesus sent eleven of them (minus Judas Iscariot, who by then had committed suicide – https://www.christianity.com/wiki/people/how-did-judas-die.html
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judas_Iscariot) by the Great Commission to spread his teachings to all nations. This event has been called the Dispersion of the Apostles.
The very first mention of an “upper room” in scripture was in 1 Chronicles when David gave Solomon the plans for the Temple. … In short “The upper room” represents a place of prayer. A secret quiet time and place that you prepare and set aside for the habitation of your Lord and Master.
The followers of The teachings of Jesus were hidden for fear of reprimand of the religious. What was this upper room for, how many days were the earliest apostles there? 10 Days in the Upper Room. Through prayer we, too, open our hearts to everything Jesus has for us.
A Helper was to be sent: Jesus discourse in the upper room is meant to inform, prepare, and equip His disciples for what will soon come, with a special emphasis on the sending of a Helper – the Holy Spirit.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your spirits in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Remember this: As he neared Damascus on his journey to imprison and size the eqrliest followers of Christ, suddenly a light from Heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” … “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,”. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_the_Apostle
Paul the Apostle, commonly known as Saint Paul and also known by his Hebrew name Saul of Tarsus, was an apostle who taught the gospel of Christ to the first-century world.
Born: Tarsus, Turkey
Nickname: Saul of Tarsus
The Church has a meaning and purpose, have you recieved yours?
We could go on and on. Let us speak to our Creator:
Lord, I surrender my life to You. I want to do something, to make something happen, all on my own strength, but I know without You I can do nothing. I know my life is not my own, it is Yours to work through me, You Father Created me for a reason, a purpose. Lord, I am grateful for this life You have given me. You have blessed me with different gifts and talents. Help me understand how to cultivate those things to bring glory to Your great Name. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Or, we could start here:
Lord, thank You for helping me find clarity about my purpose. Help me remember that I ultimately can find satisfying purpose when I seek after You. Lord, as I work to understand my purpose more fully, I pray that Your joy would be present. I pray for grace and wisdom. Help me long to serve You above myself, even above others. Help me walk daily in dependence of You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
And we end as one body:
Father, we pray that as members of The body of Christ we may learn to be imitators of You and to walk in love/Love, with one another. Just as The Lord Jesus Christ Loved us and gave Himself as an offering and sweet-smelling sacrifice – holy and acceptable to Your Essence.
Thank You Father that in Christ we are children of The light. May we walk in the Light of The Lord, Who is the Way, the Truth, the Light and The Life – and LORD we know that Your purpose for the Church is to transform each one into the likeness of The Lord Jesus – until He is all in all.
We pray that as member of His body we may walk in all goodness and righteousness and live a life that is honoring to You. Teach us we pray to do only those things that are pleasing in Your sight and we ask that every member of The body of Christ may be sanctified – set apart unto You and cleansed with the washing of the water by the Word of God, and made holy in thought, word and deed.
We pray that the Church may be purified by The Spirit of power, so that she may be without spot or wrinkle or any such thing – but holy and blameless before You in Love – We ask this in Jesus’ name,
