“Hope” is commonly used to mean a wish : its strength is the strength of the person’s desire. But in The Bible – hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness, Amen.
The hope of the righteous will be fulfilled, and will rejoice. But the wicked’s hope shall be cut off forever. Those whose hope is in the Lord shall not be disappointed, but hopes founded on our own will or desires apart from The Lord’s Will, cannot ultimately endure. ALL things come to an end
AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING, SO SHALL IT BE IN THE END. Matthew 24:37
Where is your end?
And we pray:
O Lord, my hope is in You alone. Let all of my hopes be founded upon Your promises and on Your clear Leadings in my life. As You place a desire in my heart to serve You in a particular way, may that hope not perish. But let me not make the transient treasures and pleasures of this life my hope, Amen.
