Anger, Where does it belong?

“Those who control their anger have great understanding; those with a hasty temper will make mistakes.” … “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”

Dear God, I pray that I may be like you, slow to anger and eager to be patient. Father, whenever my emotions try to get the better of me, may you help me keep them at bay. I do not desire to hurt anyone – no matter what they have done to me. May I express your love in all situations, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
