The Fruit of her womb was Jesus. ALL glory to God!!!
Her reason? She was born to do The Will of God, and she was given a choice – to bear The Essence of God.
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.”
We so often miss the implications! Not only with her betrothed Joseph, but with the community. 9 months? Do the math! Yes, a cause for cynicism. Even Joseph had his doubts…Joseph her betrothed was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. Matthew 1:19.
A mother is a blessing to her family. Mothers are known to be the glue that holds the family together – after Christ, that is. If you have been privileged enough to have a loving and dedicated mother, take time out to appreciate her or thank God for her. If, unfortunately, you have not, thank God for the women in your life who filled that gap. God is also able to fill that gap in your life, and heal you from any hurt or pain you may have suffered as a result of losing your mother or having a mother who did not show much care.
We have no idea what Mother’s go through! 9 months on average, swollen feet, nausea, stretch marks, sleepless nights…
I am reminded daily of what my Mother has done for me!
Have YOU the ability to say “I Love you Mom.”
Let us always keep our Mother’s in constant prayer and where she is gone ‘Home’, in our hearts always cherish her.
Amazingly, where we will be, there is NO “Time”. Here, time is measured by the rotation of the Earth and around the Sun governing seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, seasons…. When we are in existence not governed by the physical, then?
Becoming a mother is a blessing, and to bear children is to receive a gift from The Lord. “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land The Lord your God is giving you.
And we pray:
Dear God, I just want to pray for all the mothers in the world. Lord, I know how tough it can be being a mom. I pray that you comfort them in times where they need comfort, strengthen them when the going gets tough, and may You bless them abundantly for their love, care and concern. I also ask that You heal those who may have never had the chance to know a mother’s love, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
