And we pray…

Are you truly sure? We may pray/say this quickly and believe we are made on ‘easy’ street. Blessed? Yes!

Right quick, I will point out what was ministered as I read this prayer. “Test me…”

For those in a hurry; read on…

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who Love Him. James 1:12

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. 1 Peter 4:12-19

The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and The Lord tests hearts. Proverbs 17:3

In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of The Lord, nor be weary when reproved by Him. For The Lord disciplines the one He Loves, and chastises every son whom He receives.” It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons of The LORD. Hebrews 12:4-11

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

For The Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.

And we pray:

Deliver me from evil my Lord! I will praise Thy name! I aim to know Thee and know that You will know my heart and thoughts. Lead me away from temptation merciful God, and lead me towards the path of the way everlasting. I submit myself to You, in any way that You see fit to use me, I am Yours Father. All glory is Yours, shine through me I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
