“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘LOVE‘ The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ALL the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:36-40

Moses told Israel that their ability to take and keep possession of the promised land would depend on their obedience to the commandments of God. But they could not pick and choose which commands to obey and which to omit, it was required they keep “all” the commandments.

And we pray:

O Holy Father, only by keeping Your Word can we be strong to conquer the strongholds of sin in our hearts or to serve You in ministry and lead others to Your Son. Your Word will strengthen our souls to face another day, with all its troubles and temptations, Amen.
