We should never see it necessary to chase money, material possessions or fame. Yes, we have needs that we do need to cover, monetarily, but this does not mean that we need to make money the root of our obsession. The things we should stay focused on are the love and mercy God has given us in our lives. It is from these we find hope, encouragement, and a will to carry on.
And we pray:
Dear God, I pray that I never get my priorities mixed up. There are so many things, in this world, that try to take my attention. Father, I pray that I always remember Your grace, Your ove, and Your mercy – without them I don’t know where I would be. Thank you, Lord, that as I stay focused on You, everything makes sense. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
