In the time of the Old Covenant, God’s special presence was in the Temple in Jerusalem, in the Holy of Holies, where dwelt His Shekinah Glory. Today, his special presence is those who believe on his Son Jesus Christ and are saved by his grace. Seeing that God’s Holy Spirit dwells in us, we ought be holy and not live so as to grieve Him.
And we pray:
Spirit of Grace, You are The Spirit of Promise sent by Christ to dwell in our hearts. We belong to God. We are not our own, for we have been bought with a price, even with the precious blood of Christ. Help us to honor and not grieve You today and all ways. Fill us till we overflow we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
