This passage is essentially a prayer for unity among the believers. It is a powerful prayer, prayed by Christ Himself, who understands how important it is for Christians to be united together. He knew, concerning His followers, that, once His death had occurred, they would need to stick together. His prayer was for them. But it is for us as well. Unity is of utmost importance in our faith. There is already so much opposition to Christians in the world. The last thing we need to to be oppositional with each other.
And we pray:
LORD Heavenly Father, I ask that You unify the believers and help me to do my part to bring unity. I know that I am stronger when I am united with people who believe as I do. Together, we can advance the cause of Christ, lifting up our spirits we ask as ONE body for Your healing of the world, we plead for Your relief and release, we bind covid and loose Your Spirit of healing, Amen.
