God will have His full due from us. His glory He will not give to another. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Thy name give glory! (Psalm 115:1) Your grace on us You bestow, but Your glory You will not share. Great overflowing blessings You pour down on us, but the credit for it all You jealously guard. For that is right and fitting, that You should have indeed your full due.
And we pray:
Our hearts desire is to exalt You, Father, and not ourselves. Nor will we exalt any idol that would wish to take away even the least particle of your glory. For ever and ever and ever, in the realms of eternal glory, we will sing praises to your glorious name. Let us begin that song now, even today. Amen.
