WHATEVER GOD CANNOT DO… (Friday morning conversation with a friend)

MY FRIEND:
“what God cannot do does not exist” thingy make me laugh sometimes as it’s not rationally and Biblically correct.

Hold up! Are there things God WILL NOT do? Yes, I  sense in your minds…

https://www.cgi.org/twelve-things-god-cannot-do

It is too much of an ambiguous phrase to assume it’s restricted to certain things.

The Bible categorically state ‘God cannot lie”.
God cannot force ‘salvation’. He will not in fact.
When God Created Man and allowed free will. He did not force Adam nor Eve to obey Him nor stop them from eating the so called ‘apple’.

Please let’s be careful what we bandwagon follow people to say no matter how spiritual or religious it sounds without thinking it through scripturally and with a pinch of common Sense.

Do NOT split the path/conjure ‘truisms’

The semantics become confusing when you apply divine precepts as casually as you have done. Let me try to help.

In practical terms, there is nothing God cannot do. By corollary, whatever God cannot do does not exist. The entire universe (and that is billions of stars, many of them bigger than the sun that sustains our own planet) submits to the laws He created. He can reorder those laws anytime He pleases. Why? Because all things were made by Him and for Him (John 1:1-3).

Now some of His laws guide His actions (Num 23:19). In human terms we call it integrity. He calls it holiness. It’s like the rule you make about which posts to read or react to online. It’s not what you cannot do, it’s what you choose not to do. He chooses not to lie because He is truth (Jn 14:6). He chooses not to accept darkness because He is light (Jn 14:7). Do you get it now?

More amazing is the fact that these phenomena you claim are outside of Him are actually His servants (they are spirits). He commands them when He wants to (Exod 10:21,1 Kg 22:23) but He will punish them in the end (Rev 21:8).

You see, God is without limits (Jer 32:27). This is why He made a 100 year old man impregnate a 90 year old woman and they produced the most blessed people on the face of the earth today, also known as Christians (Gen 21:1-7; 22:17-18). This is why He walked on water (Matt 14:25), raised a man dead and buried four days (Jn 11:43-44) and made human eyes from sand and spittle (Jn 9:6-7). This is why He died and was buried but rose again on the third day and now He is alive forever (Rev 1:18).

Whatever resisted the knowledge of His omnipotence before now has no place in you anymore. Now you know that whatever God cannot do does not exist. But let me offer you a second gift of revelation:

He says, “He that believes in me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do…” (Jn 14:12). This means there is nothing I cannot do if I believe. Whatever I cannot do does not exist, as long as I believe. Go forth believing and be blessed as you do all things through Christ Who strengthens you (Phil 4:13).
