Jesus was sinless, yet God sent Him to live in our sinful world among sinful Men. Then, Jesus died on the cross for our sin. He was innocent, yet He was treated as though He was guilty. We were guilty, but through His sacrifice, we are seen as innocent. This transfer of righteousness through His death on the cross is more than we deserve, Amen.
And we pray:
Dear God, You sent Your son, Jesus Christ, to our undeserving world. We are sinners, but You took our place on the cross. You received our guilt and allowed us to share in Your righteousness. Your mercy is more than I can comprehend. O Lord, thank You for Loving us enough to make such a sacrifice for my redemption. Help me to live a life honoring this sacrifice. In Jesus’ name, amen.
