Though Christians have received the new nature, they are not yet fully changed. And our bodies are not changing at all at present, but are growing old like those of anyone else. But we groan for deliverance from sin and look forward to the day when we will be free from the hindrances and limitations of our present weak bodies.
And we pray:
We wait, O Lord, for the day when You will complete the work You began in us. We walk by faith and not by sight. You have left us for now in these fragile “jars of clay” with Your glory hidden inside, that men may see that the power is all of You and not of us. But we rejoice that You will glorify Your saints and believe in the resurrection, Amen.
