Some of the side effects that may occur with H2 receptor blockers include:

  • constipation.
  • diarrhea.
  • difficulty sleeping.
  • dry mouth.
  • dry skin.
  • headaches.
  • ringing in the ears.
  • a runny nose.

Side effects from H2 blockers are rare.

  • Famotidine. The most common side effect is headache.
  • Cimetidine. Side effects are rare. But diarrhea, dizziness, rashes, headaches, and gynecomastia may occur.
  • Ranitidine. The most common side effect is headache.
  • Nizatidine. Side effects are rare.

ᴛᴀᴋᴇ ᴍᴀɢɴᴇsɪᴜᴍ ɪɴsᴛᴇᴀᴅ ᴏғ sᴛᴏᴏʟ sᴏғᴛᴇɴᴇʀs? (ᴡʜɪᴄʜ ᴅᴇʜʏᴅʀᴀᴛᴇs ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴏᴡᴇʟ) Magnesium is a cofactor in more than 300 enzyme systems that regulate diverse biochemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, blood glucose control, and blood pressure regulation. Magnesium is required for energy production, oxidative phosphorylation, and glycolysis.

Symptoms of magnesium deficiency include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and weakness. Extreme magnesium deficiency can cause numbness, tingling, muscle cramps, seizures, personality changes, and an abnormal heart rhythm.
