Music is one of our most powerful gateways to connect to our spiritual nature — our divine source — the unseen, as well as to the universe around us and those other divine beings that inhabit it with us. Music is used to teach the gospel. The apostle Paul wrote to the saints: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace …” (Col. 3:16), and “making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Eph. 5:19)
I can remember some of the most powerful and touching moments in my life being from music. There is something magical about music and song. Nothing has inspired more music and song than The Lord our God, our strength and our redeemer. In joyous times He is our strength, and in hard times He is our defense. Sing loudly in His name!
And we pray:
Hosanna in the highest! Blessed am I coming in The name of The Lord, my refuge and strength in dark times. I shall sing Your praises to all that can hear me, Heavenly Father. My heart leaps for joy for You, my shield, my light, my Love. In Your name I pray. Amen.
