Jesus was born in the family of David. Angel Gabriel in his annunciation message to Mary says that Jesus will be like his ancestor – David. Luke 1:32 – 33.
Zechariah in his Benedictus says that God has raised up a savior descended from the house of David Luke 1:69.
Never forget that the message of the Lord is one of peace. So that spreading its word involves no malice. Never forget that the message of the Lord is one of goodwill, so its consequences should never lead to hatred or hurt.
And we pray:
Peace and goodwill to all who hears and sings thy psalms O Lord God! For those who do not, for where there is strife and fear, send tranquility and restitution. For where there is confusion and hatred, send order and accord. Do this, so that these people may hear your message Lord, and partake in your mercy, and in doing so, show it too one another. Amen
