One of the many references to God is being a refuge for us. If it is mentioned so many times, why don’t we actually try to use Him as one? Next time you are fearful or feel that you need to be protected turn to God for security.
And we say a quick word of prayer:
Abba Father, protector of my faith, You are the defender of all that is holy. Thank You for keeping me safe, and I am sorry that I do not turn to You as often as I should. I pray that I shall do it more often, and I hope that I eventually turn to You only, my rock and refuge, when tribulations arise. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
