Consider wisely and test everything by The Word…

But! test them all; hold on to what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21

A passage in Ezekiel 1:1-28 gives a brilliant description of angels as four-winged creatures. In Ezekiel 10:20, we are told these angels are called cherubim. Most angels in the Bible have the appearance and form of a man. Some angels are bright, shining, and fiery, while others look like ordinary humans.

Did Jesus know it was Satan at the completion of His 40 day fast? Yes! The form that appeared to Him misquoted The Bible! “Turn that stone into bread….” a quick solution to a problem but it was against The Word of God. it is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of The Mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

Even if Satan disguised himself; his words spoke against The Word and Jesus – The Word knew it was against His nature.

For the most part, those spreading doctrines of devils and lies hatched by Satan do not openly reveal their true identity, and many do not even know they are being used as Satan’s dupe. Satan tries to present his false doctrines as good in order to gain wider acceptance. Therefore, we cannot judge by appearances but must judge by the standard of revealed truth from God.

And we pray:

O Giver of truth, give us discernment through Your Word and Spirit. Let us not fall prey to deceptions of Satan or his henchmen. Let us not be naive, but let us realize that wolves often cover themselves with sheepskins and Satan likes to disguise himself as an angel of light. We know you will save us from Satan’s devices, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Amen.
