Folks, here we share verses to guide you through the next 2 weeks (there are 15 at least.) AND by God’s grace for all-ways in Christ. Write them on your heart and live them, Amen.
We might misunderstand the term:
Still does not mean “toil not.” We are rewarded for the work of our hands. The Good News: God rewards those who work hard, and that can come in a variety of ways. … “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” The Good News: Anything we set forth to do without God’s initial blessing is meaningless.
We all know that hard work and dedication is the way to success, but the path isn’t always easy or exactly clear. This is just a part of life, but the Bible is here to guide and motivate us during even the toughest of times. God wants us to thrive in all aspects of our lives, and he gave us the tools, talents, and gifts to do just that. It’s easy to forget sometimes, but these Bible verses about hard work are easy reminders that the Lord is always here, standing by our side.
So whether you’re not sure what step is next (check out Proverbs 16:3), if the long journey is worth the reward (see 2 Timothy 4:7), or if you just need a little reminder that God is always watching (1 Corinthians 10:31 has your back), these Bible verses have inspiration for any situation you find yourself in.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving The Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
The Good News: No matter what you do, you are using the gifts that The Lord gave you. If you put your talents to use, you are proving to God that you Love Him and worship Him.
“Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:14-15
The Good News: Even in dark and confusing times, do whatever is needed without a doubt or hesitation. If you choose to work hard and keep your head down, others will follow your lead.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
The Good News: Although we may not immediately see the reward for our good doings, they will come. Do not give up! Perseverance is key.
“You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.” Psalm 128:2
The Good News: God rewards those who work hard, and that can come in a variety of ways. But if you continue to put in a solid work ethic, you deserve whatever is outcome.
“Let the favor of The Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” Psalm 90:17
The Good News: Anything we set forth to do without God’s initial blessing is meaningless. It’s important to make sure whatever we do is in the eyes of The Lord, and therefore we ask for His blessing over our work.
“Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve The Lord.” Romans 12:11
The Good News: Just as The Bible preaches, don’t lose your energy. Find passion in your work and remain steadfast in your Love for The Lord. Then, you will see success. Amen.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
The Good News: Hard work, dedication, and staying true to your faith pays off in the end. Stick to it and you will be rewarded — God will make sure of it.
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
The Good News: It doesn’t matter if you’re working, eating, hanging out with friends, or any other type of activity, it’s vital to keep The Lord in mind when completing any act during your day. Can you be kind to one another, donate your extra can to a shelter, or spend an extra hour helping a coworker? What would Jesus do?
“Commit your work to The Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
The Good News: Even if you’re lost and don’t know your way out through a difficult situation right now, give it all up to God. Make a promise with Him that you will see it through the end, and God will lay a path down for you.
“The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.” Proverbs 21:25
The Good News: A lazy, uninspired person will not get anything done and refuses to do work. Aspire to avoid all temptations of doubt and slothfulness, and you’ll thrive in life.
“But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8
The Good News: You have been given so many gifts and tools to support your loved ones. So step up and provide, and you will follow God and His Son Jesus’ lead. It may be difficult at first, but you’ll bring joy to not only others, but yourself as well.
“In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23
The Good News: You have to talk the talk and walk the walk if you expect to succeed. Put in the hard work and long hours, and you will see wealth come your way. If you simply dream of it or and don’t make action, you won’t see a dime.
“It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops.” 2 Timothy 2:6
The Good News: Those who work hard and put in the effort deserve to be rewarded. It’s as simple as that.
“For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in The Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12
The Good News: Those not willing to put in the work do not deserve the reward at the end of the journey. If you decide to put in the effort and dedication that it takes to succeed, do so quietly and without pride. Then The Lord will know Who you are truly working for.
“I can do all things through Christ – The Word of God, Who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
The Good News: At the end of the day, God is on our side. We can do anything thanks to God. We just need to ask for The support of The Creator.
And we pray:
Father LORD, I lay before Your Throne of grace. I am unworthy, You are ALL I need and by Your grace desire. Father, You Know the desires of my heart. In my life LORD, Your will be done I pray and decree in The name of Jesus. You Created me for a reason and purpose, LORD fulfill Your purpose in and for me in The name of Jesus, Amen.
