As parents, our children have the ability to just melt our hearts. Sometimes it’s a certain look, or a phrase. It doesn’t matter how angry we are or how busy we are, that one look or word just turns us to mush. The same thing happens when we approach God and call on His mercy. He cannot resist us because we come to Him in our purest state, asking for His mercy on us. We melt the heart of God when we come to Him as a humble child. Our trials allow God to show who He really is: a just and merciful God.
And we pray:
Father, thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for having a tender heart towards me, a sinner. Let my trials and problems be a way for You to show me the mercies of Your love. Amen.
