What we bind here on Earth is bound in Heaven.
What we loose here on Earth is loosed in Heaven.
We are of The Family of God. Contrary to supposition, we as The Church (Body of Christ, with Jesus at The Head) are promised this for and in all our ways.
Or, as The New English Bible translates this passage,`Whatever you forbid on Earth shall be forbidden in Heaven, and whatever you allow on Earth shall be allowed in Heaven.

We have learned: Heavenly Father, Thy will be done, Amen.
Remember this: Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name…Thy will be done, here on Earth as it is in Heaven… Amen.

Luke 22:42, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine be done.” Many fail to understand the Bible is not just a dialogue between real people who lived many years ago, but it is also a living revelation meant to speak to the heart of the listener today.
His-story: In usage, to bind and to loose simply means to forbid by an indisputable Authority (Jesus) and to permit by an indisputable authority. One example of this is Isaiah 58:5–6 which relates proper fasting to loosing the chains of injustice.
