When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7.
Beloved I pray with you:
May your ways and your life always please The Lord. And may He make even your enemies to always be at peace with you in Jesus Name. Shalom
Breaking Down the Key Parts of Proverbs 16:7
#1 “When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way,”
In a very important way, it is impossible for “The Lord to take pleasure” in the ways of Man. As Isaiah said, “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away” (Isa 64:6). But in Christ, The Lord sees us very differently. He has counted us right with Him by the blood of His Son – Jesus. The good works we do in Christ bring God glory and pleasure (Eph 2:10).
#2 “He causes their enemies to make peace with them.”
God accomplishes this by moving the hearts of their enemies, by defeating their enemies, or by finally judging their enemies on the last day. The Lord defends His children, particularly when our hearts are fully devoted to Him (2 Chron 16:9).
