This scripture makes a very basic statement of the requirements of eternal life: We must know God and Jesus Christ in order to be saved. Jesus makes it clear to us that we have to know God the father, as well as Himself. Our eternal life depends on it. This knowledge depends on a relationship with God and Jesus Christ, rooted in faith and love.
And we pray:
Lord, I acknowledge You. I acknowledge God The Father. I desire the relationship with You and I thank You for the eternal life that accompanies it. Amen.
