Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of Man: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Wow, easier said than done! Our minds and hearts should be like Jesus; quite a tall order for lowly servants! However, how else should we think of ourselves? Who else should we compare ourselves to? The teachings of Christ and The Bible were written for this explicit purpose. Don’t do this would be a foolish mistake that would potentially cost us. Be humble like Christ, trust in The Word of God.
And we pray:
Father, I love to sing Your praises, merciful and benevolent God, Creator of both Heaven and Earth. I am a lowly servant, and I am honored to even be given the chance to serve You at all, O Lord. There is nothing that I want to do more than to serve You, to spread Your Word, and to Love/love You. You are my strength and redeemer, made whole by Your son, Jesus Christ. In His holy name I pray, Amen.
