Romans 9:32 KJV — Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone;
Why?
James 2:20 KJV — But wilt thou know, O vain man, that ▶faith without works is dead?◀
James 2:14 KJV — ▶What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?◀
James 2:18 KJV — Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works,▶ and I will shew thee my faith by my works.◀
How’s that? Because his works show his trust in God enough to follow his commandments.
James 2:20 KJV — But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
James 2:21▶Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?◀
Because he trusted god so much he was willing to offer up his son at the request of God.
James 2:22Seest thou how▶ faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?◀
James 2:24 KJV — Ye see then how that ▶by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.◀
Not By Faith Only it’s right there in the Bible why? Because faith and works go hand and hand
James 2:26 KJV — For as the body without the spirit is dead,▶ so faith without works is dead also.◀
So if all you have is faith and no works it’s like being a dead body. Faith without works is dead.
