LORD, may my prayers from my heart be guided and led, Amen.

Be under no illusions, life can be tough even for Christ’s most devoted followers. One way we may seek comfort is in prayer –for our loved ones who may be sick or hurting, for those around the world perhaps under tyranny or amidst the fog of war. God is not some simple umbrella to be opened in times of need only, but He is as our closest friend who wishes to hear our thoughts and inner feelings. It is okay to be angry sometimes, to be desperate. But do not be dismayed if God doesn’t give you what you always want -for he has a plan for us, even if often we don’t see the path of His righteousness.

And we pray:

LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in Your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you. The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead.

Heavenly Lord God, I thank You in The name of Your Son – Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. I thank You for Your mercy and pray for Your continued grace; to me, my friends, family, and even my enemies. I need Your help and guidance every day, and pray for You to teach me to trust in You Lord, as I move forward into Your grace within each and every prayer that passes my lips. Amen.
