The Word from OUR lips? Father bind my lips to share Your Word, to preach of Your excellence, Amen.

Proverbs says, “We are snared by the words of our mouth.” Snared means trapped. It doesn’t say we’re trapped by our thinking, trapped by our circumstances, trapped by this giant we’re facing.

Effect of words from our lips!

Ephesians 4:29 – Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Matthew 12:36 – But I say unto you, That every idle word that Man shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. (Beware! “I was just ‘joking!'” Before your Creator???)

Psalms 19:14 – Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my Strength, and my Redeemer.

Proverbs 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Matthew 12:37 – For by your words thou shalt be justified, and by your words you shalt be condemned.

Psalms 141:3 – Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Amen.

Proverbs 17:27 – He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a Man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

Colossians 3:8 – But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Proverbs 15:1 – A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Proverbs 21:23 – Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Proverbs 16:24 – Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Isaiah 55:11 – So shall My word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Hallelujah!!!

Proverbs 15:4 – A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Matthew 15:11 – Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

James 1:26 – If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

What traps us is what we’re saying. Negative thoughts come to us all; we can not stop them from coming. The mistake we make is when we verbalize them (we have shared the power of the tongue. Remember this in your heart in ALL you do – we are Created in God’s Image! God SPOKE and Creation came to be. I repeat – in God’s Image we are made!!! Has any Man seen God??? Have you ever seen the source of your words/thoughts/feelings/emotions?

Who/what/why are you? What is your reason/meaning/purpose?

When we start speaking: defeat, lack, how ‘this obstacle’ is too big, “I don’t see how it can turn around”… you have just given life to that negative! If you continue to speak it, it will become a reality. The key is when these negative thoughts come, don’t verbalize them! Pray them away in faith. LEAVE them at the foot of the cross. God’s plan for you is indescribable. Your Father owns the Universe! I need say not another word.
