Words are powerful. They can pierce others with hate, contempt, judgment, and scorn. Or they can lift others up with encouragement, compassion, guidance, and understanding. God calls us to put away our reckless words that inflict wounds. Instead, He leads us to use our words wisely so that we may be agents of healing, Love, and grace.
And we pray:
Lord, I confess the times that I have been careless with words that have wounded others. Help me to repair that damage that I’ve done. Give me the wisdom to discern my words carefully. Fill my heart with Your compassion and grace so that I may speak the truth in Love and heal others with words of wisdom and encouragement. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
