None of us enjoys hardship. When we encounter seasons of difficulty and suffering, we naturally want to find our way out as quickly as possible. But sometimes the solution doesn’t come quickly and we are left to endure the pain. But we are not without hope. God promises not only to use our suffering to strengthen us, but He promises to bring us out of the suffering in His time.
I was sharing with brethren and pointed out Joseph in jail; Samson shorn and blinded; Ruth widowed and destitute; Daniel in the lions den…. to the roll of eyes! (“Not again!”) “Again what…?” I said. These His-storical figures are in The Word for a reason! Season’s!
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under Heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want, Amen. Knowing and embracing Jesus, He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul, Amen. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for LORD, You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, Hallelujah!!! You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
