What day exists that The LORD has not blessed?

Testimonies ABOUND in life! Is this your ‘season’ of rejoicing? Trial? Testing? Testimonies? In ALL things give thanks! You are ALIVE, Amen. Think on this!

When things go well and the sun is shining, when we have just received a wonderful surprise or had some encouraging news of a dear loved one, how we rejoice and how our hearts are full of praise to the Lord. It is on these days of unexpected wonder and joyful delight that we lift up our voices and proclaim with the psalmist: “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” and rightly so.

But what about those days that are tinged with sadness and disappointment? What about the pain that others inflict on you or your loved ones, when lowering clouds and tempestuous storm rip asunder your life – when relationships sour, loved ones are lost, jobs are in jeopardy, or finances are causing concern? This is also a day that the Lord has made, for He scheduled every day of your life and He weaves the dark strands of disappointment and pain in with the golden thread of joy. This is also a day when we should rejoice and be glad in Him and the many blessings and wonders that the Lord has done for us. This world is passing away, but our hope in Christ remains throughout eternity.

And although it may speak to us this way, this special Psalm of praise is a Messianic psalm that is not talking of today or the times through which we are passing, but this verse speaks of THE day – the Day of the Lord – that Day that the Lord has scheduled into His eternal timeline – the Day when Christ Jesus returns in the clouds with His saints to set up His glorious kingdom on earth. The Day when “the Earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” This is the Day (at the end of the coming seven-year Tribulation period), when the whole nation of Israel will be saved as they cry in unison: “Blessed is The One Who comes in The name of The LORD.”
