Before our light can shine before men, we must first of all have a light. All of God’s children have the light of God’s truth planted deep within their souls; but it will not due to cower in fear and seek to hide that light. There are others God has put in contact with us whom he may wish to see our light, and we have no right to hide it from them.
And we pray:
Give us courage, O Lord, to live distinctively for Jesus in the midst of a dark, lost, dying world. In a world where truth seems “forever on the scaffold” and wrong “forever on the throne,” we know that Your purposes are behind it all working it all out for the highest good, which is Your glory. You Created me for a purpose. Father, in my life Your will be done, Amen.
