It’s hard to see evil win. When scams and fraud succeed, or when a coworker uses lies and manipulation to get ahead, injustices make us want to do something. But instead of retaliating, and giving in to evil, The Lord calls us to trust Him and His timing. He is not blind to evil, and He will deal with it in time. So, as we wait on Him, God fills us with His peace, even in the midst of evil.
And we pray:
Lord, the injustice around me breaks my heart, and makes me angry. Thank You for being my retreat. Teach me to be still in Your Presence, to know that injustice will not go unanswered. Help me to dwell in Your peace so that I can endure the evil around me, and not become like the unjust and the schemers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
