It is temporary! VERY! EACH day, the ‘sun” rises and sets… Let me ask what the longest day you have ever experienced? I ask for a reason.
The ‘light’ on Earth is from a Star! Have you ever consumed how many twinkling stars are visible on a clear night? It would shock you if I share this… There are only about 5,000 stars visible to the naked, average, human eye. If each star produces its own light like the Sun, think of what is out there! It gets us thinking about the ‘seen’. What about the UNSEEN?
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” Temporary versus eternal, there is a vast difference between the two. The way we process the difference can determine the level of peace and contentment in a Christian’s life.

People tend to focus on what is seen – the more obvious, visible data that captures their attention – and ignore what is unseen – everything we do not know because it is less visible. We can peak into the unseen only by utilizing an enormous amount of reasoning, imagination, humility, and curiosity.
For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. So, we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

And we pray:
Father God, I confess that all too often I choose my way over Yours. Help me to put away all of the desires, priorities, and pride of my old sinful nature, to crucify my old self. Fill me instead with a new life lived in step with You, empowered by Your victory so that I may walk in obedience as I follow wherever You lead me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
