We have a tendency to think first of our own wants and desires. But Christian love calls us to consider how our actions impact our neighbors. Remember:
You shall Love The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall ‘love’ your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 22:37-40

Does our partaking of alcohol unnecessarily tempt a brother in recovery? Does our friendly card game offend a sister who has struggled with gambling? Even when no harm is intended, we must be mindful of the conscience of others.
And we pray:
Lord, thank You for the freedom that You have given me in Jesus. As I walk this faith journey, help me to remember that others have had different journeys, with different experiences and struggles. Give me the wisdom to use my freedom lovingly, so that I might not tempt or mislead my neighbors or my brethren, especially those who are younger in the faith. Father, Your Word says: I should ask for wisdom. LORD, bless me with an open heart to You – The seat of wisdom. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
